1 The LORD said to Moses and Aaron,	1 Yahveh habló a Moisés y a Aarón, diciendo:
2 "If someone has on his skin a scab or pustule or blotch which appears to be the sore of leprosy, he shall be brought to Aaron, the priest, or to one of the priests among his descendants,	2 Cuando uno tenga en la piel de su carne tumor, erupción o mancha blancuzca brillante, y se forme en la piel de su carne como una llaga de lepra, será llevado al sacerdote Aarón o a uno de sus hijos, los sacerdotes.
3 who shall examine the sore on his skin. If the hair on the sore has turned white and the sore itself shows that it has penetrated below the skin, it is indeed the sore of leprosy; the priest, on seeing this, shall declare the man unclean.	3 El sacerdote examinará la llaga en la piel de la carne; si el pelo en la llaga se ha vuelto blanco, y la llaga parece más hundida que la piel de su carne, es llaga de lepra; cuando el sacerdote lo haya comprobado, le declarará impuro.
4 If, however, the blotch on the skin is white, but does not seem to have penetrated below the skin, nor has the hair turned white, the priest shall quarantine the stricken man for seven days.	4 Mas si hay en la piel de su carne una mancha blancuzca brillante sin que parezca más hundida que la piel, y sin que el pelo se haya vuelto blanco, el sacerdote recluirá durante siete días al afectado.
5 On the seventh day the priest shall again examine him. If he judges that the sore has remained unchanged and has not spread on the skin, the priest shall quarantine him for another seven days,	5 Al séptimo día el sacerdote lo examinará, y si comprueba que la llaga se ha detenido, no se ha extendido por la piel, el sacerdote entonces lo recluirá otros siete días.
6 and once more examine him on the seventh day. If the sore is now dying out and has not spread on the skin, the priest shall declare the man clean; it was merely eczema. The man shall wash his garments and so become clean.	6 Pasados estos siete días, el sacerdote lo examinará nuevamente: si ve que la llaga ha perdido su color y no se ha extendido en la piel, el sacerdote lo declarará puro; no se trata más que de una erupción. Lavará sus vestidos y quedará puro.
7 But if, after he has shown himself to the priest to be declared clean, the eczema spreads at all on his skin, he shall once more show himself to the priest.	7 Pero si después que el sacerdote le ha examinado y declarado puro, sigue la erupción extendiéndose por la piel, se presentará de nuevo al sacerdote.
8 Should the priest, on examining it, find that the eczema has indeed spread on the skin, he shall declare the man unclean; it is leprosy.	8 El sacerdote, al comprobar que la erupción se extiende por la piel, lo declarará impuro: es un caso de lepra.
9 "When someone is stricken with leprosy, he shall be brought to the priest.	9 Cuando en un hombre se manifieste una llaga como de lepra, será llevado al sacerdote.
10 Should the priest, on examining him, find that there is a white scab on the skin which has turned the hair white and that there is raw flesh in it,	10 El sacerdote lo examinará, y si observa un tumor blancuzco en la piel, el color del pelo mudado en blanco y una úlcera en la hinchazón,
11 it is skin leprosy that has long developed. The priest shall declare the man unclean without first quarantining him, since he is certainly unclean.	11 se trata de lepra arraigada en su piel; el sacerdote lo declarará impuro y no le recluirá, porque es impuro.
12 If leprosy breaks out on the skin and, as far as the priest can see, covers all the skin of the stricken man from head to foot,	12 Pero si la lepra se ha extendido por la piel hasta cubrir toda la piel del enfermo desde la cabeza hasta los pies, en cuanto alcanza a verlo el sacerdote,
13 should the priest then, on examining him, find that the leprosy does cover his whole body, he shall declare the stricken man clean; since it has all turned white, the man is clean.	13 éste lo examinará, y si la lepra ha cubierto toda su carne, declarará puro al afectado por la llaga: se ha vuelto todo blanco; es puro.
14 But as soon as raw flesh appears on him, he is unclean;	14 Pero cuando se vea en él una úlcera, quedará impuro;
15 on observing the raw flesh, the priest shall declare him unclean, because raw flesh is unclean; it is leprosy.	15 en cuanto el sacerdote vea la úlcera, lo declarará impuro. La úlcera es impura; es un caso de lepra.
16 If, however, the raw flesh again turns white, he shall return to the priest;	16 Pero si la úlcera cambia, volviéndose blanca, el afectado ha de presentarse al sacerdote.
17 should the latter, on examining him, find that the sore has indeed turned white, he shall declare the stricken man clean, and thus he will be clean.	17 El sacerdote lo examinará, y al ver que la llaga se ha vuelto blanca, declarará puro al afectado por la enfermedad: es puro.
18 "If a man who had a boil on his skin which later healed,	18 Cuando en la piel de alguno se ha curado un divieso,
19 should now in the place of the boil have a white scab or a pink blotch, he shall show himself to the priest.	19 y en el lugar del divieso aparece un tumor blanco, o una mancha de color blanco rojizo, ése habrá de presentarse al sacerdote.
20 If the latter, on examination, sees that it is deeper than the skin and that the hair has turned white, he shall declare the man unclean; it is the sore of leprosy that has broken out in the boil.	20 El sacerdote lo examinará, y si la mancha parece más hundida que la piel y su pelo se ha vuelto blanco, el sacerdote lo declarará impuro. Es llaga de lepra que se ha producido en el divieso.
21 But if the priest, on examining him, finds that there is no white hair in it and that it is not deeper than the skin and is already dying out, the priest shall quarantine him for seven days.	21 Pero si el sacerdote ve que no hay en ella pelo blanco, ni está más hundida que la piel, y que ha perdido color, le recluirá por siete días.
22 If it has then spread on the skin, the priest shall declare him unclean; the man is stricken.	22 Si entonces se extiende por la piel, el sacerdote lo declarará impuro; es un caso de lepra.
23 But if the blotch remains in its place without spreading, it is merely the scar of the boil; the priest shall therefore declare him clean.	23 Pero si la mancha sigue estacionaria, sin extenderse, es la cicatriz del divieso; el sacerdote lo declarará puro.
24 "If a man had a burn on his skin, and the proud flesh of the burn now becomes a pink or a white blotch,	24 Cuando en la piel de alguien hay una quemadura, y sobre la quemadura se forma una mancha de color blanco rojizo o sólo blanco,
25 the priest shall examine it. If the hair has turned white on the blotch and this seems to have penetrated below the skin, it is leprosy that has broken out in the burn; the priest shall therefore declare him unclean and stricken with leprosy.	25 el sacerdote la examinará; y si el pelo se ha vuelto blanco en la mancha blanca y ésta aparece más hundida que la piel, es que se ha producido lepra en la quemadura. El sacerdote lo declarará impuro; es un caso de lepra.
26 But if the priest, on examining it, finds that there is no white hair on the blotch and that this is not deeper than the skin and is already dying out, the priest shall quarantine him for seven days.	26 Si, en cambio, el sacerdote observa que en la mancha no aparece pelo blanco, que no está más hundida que la piel y que ha perdido color, lo recluirá siete días.
27 Should the priest, when examining it on the seventh day, find that it has spread at all on the skin, he shall declare the man unclean and stricken with leprosy.	27 Al séptimo día lo examinará, y si se ha extendido por la piel, el sacerdote lo declarará impuro; es un caso de lepra.
28 But if the blotch remains in its place without spreading on the skin and is already dying out, it is merely the scab of the burn; the priest shall therefore declare the man clean, since it is only the scar of the burn.	28 Pero si la mancha sigue estacionaria sin extenderse por la piel y ha perdido color, se trata de la hinchazón de la quemadura, y el sacerdote lo declarará puro; pues es la cicatriz de la quemadura.
29 "When a man or a woman has a sore on the head or cheek,	29 Cuando un hombre o una mujer tengan una llaga en la cabeza o en la barbilla,
30 should the priest, on examining it, find that the sore has penetrated below the skin and that there is fine yellow hair on it, the priest shall declare the person unclean, for this is scall, a leprous disease of the head or cheek.	30 el sacerdote examinará la llaga, y si ésta aparece más hundida que la piel, y si hay en ella pelo amarillento y más ralo, el sacerdote lo declarará impuro; es tiña, o sea, lepra de la cabeza o de la barbilla.
31 But if the priest, on examining the scall sore, finds that it has not penetrated below the skin, though the hair on it may not be black, the priest shall quarantine the person with scall sore for seven days,	31 Mas si el sacerdote ve que la llaga de tiña no aparece más hundida que la piel, y que no hay en ella pelo amarillento, recluirá al afectado por la tiña durante siete días.
32 and on the seventh day again examine the sore. If the scall has not spread and has no yellow hair on it and does not seem to have penetrated below the skin,	32 Al séptimo, el sacerdote examinará el mal, y si no se ha extendido la tiña, ni hay en ella pelo amarillento, ni la llaga aparece más hundida que la piel,
33 the man shall shave himself, but not on the diseased spot. Then the priest shall quarantine him for another seven days.	33 aquella persona se afeitará, excepto en el lugar de la tiña; y el sacerdote recluirá al afectado durante otros siete días.
34 If the priest, when examining the scall on the seventh day, finds that it has not spread on the skin and that it has not penetrated below the skin, he shall declare the man clean; the latter shall wash his garments, and thus he will be clean.	34 Al séptimo día el sacerdote lo examinará y si no se ha extendido la llaga por la piel, ni aparece más hundida que la piel, le declarará puro; lavará sus vestidos y quedará puro.
35 But if the scall spreads at all on his skin after he has been declared clean,	35 Pero si la tiña, después de la purificación, se extiende mucho por la piel,
36 the priest shall again examine it. If the scall has indeed spread on the skin, he need not look for yellow hair; the man is surely unclean.	36 el sacerdote lo examinará. Si comprueba que la tiña se ha extendido por la piel, el sacerdote ya no tendrá que buscar pelo amarillento; aquella persona es impura.
37 If, however, he judges that the scall has remained in its place and that black hair has grown on it, the disease has been healed; the man is clean, and the priest shall declare him clean.	37 Mas si, según su opinión, la tiña no se ha extendido y ha brotado en ella pelo negro, se ha curado la tiña. Esa persona es pura y el sacerdote la declarará pura.
38 "When the skin of a man or a woman is spotted with white blotches,	38 Cuando un hombre o una mujer tengan en su piel manchas brillantes, manchas blancas,
39 the priest shall make an examination. If the blotches on the skin are white and already dying out, it is only tetter that has broken out on the skin, and the person therefore is clean.	39 el sacerdote las examinará; si comprueba que las manchas de la piel son de color blanco, se trata de un eccema que ha brotado en la piel; esta persona es pura.
40 "When a man loses the hair of his head, he is not unclean merely because of his bald crown.	40 Si a alguno se le cae el pelo de la cabeza y queda calvo por detrás, es puro.
41 So too, if he loses the hair on the front of his head, he is not unclean merely because of his bald forehead.	41 Si se le cae el pelo de la parte delantera de la cabeza, es calvo por delante, pero es puro.
42 But when there is a pink sore on his bald crown or bald forehead, it is leprosy that is breaking out there.	42 Pero si en la calva, por detrás o por delante, aparece una llaga de color rojizo, es lepra que se ha producido en la calva, sea por detrás o por delante.
43 The priest shall examine him; and if the scab on the sore of the bald spot has the same pink appearance as that of skin leprosy of the fleshy part of the body,	43 El sacerdote la examinará y si la hinchazón de la llaga en la parte calva es de color blanco rojizo, con aspecto de lepra en la piel,
44 the man is leprous and unclean, and the priest shall declare him unclean by reason of the sore on his head.	44 se trata de un leproso: es impuro. El sacerdote le declarará impuro; tiene lepra en la cabeza.
45 "The one who bears the sore of leprosy shall keep his garments rent and his head bare, and shall muffle his beard; he shall cry out, 'Unclean, unclean!'	45 El afectado por la lepra llevará los vestido rasgados y desgreñada la cabeza, se cubrirá hasta el bigote e irá gritando: «¡Impuro, impuro!»
46 As long as the sore is on him he shall declare himself unclean, since he is in fact unclean. He shall dwell apart, making his abode outside the camp.	46 Todo el tiempo que dure la llaga, quedará impuro. Es impuro y habitará solo; fuera del campamento tendrá su morada.
47 "When a leprous infection is on a garment of wool or of linen,	47 Cuando aparezca una llaga de lepra en un vestido de lana o de lino,
48 or on woven or knitted material of linen or wool, or on a hide or anything made of leather,	48 o en tejido o cobertor de lino o lana, o en una piel, o en cualquier objeto de cuero,
49 if the infection on the garment or hide, or on the woven or knitted material, or on any leather article is greenish or reddish, the thing is indeed infected with leprosy and must be shown to the priest.	49 si la mancha en el vestido o en la piel, o en el tejido o en el cobertor, o en cualquier objeto hecho de cuero, tiene color verdoso o rojizo, es llaga de lepra y debe ser mostrada al sacerdote.
50 Having examined the infection, the priest shall quarantine the infected article for seven days.	50 El sacerdote examinará la mancha y encerrará el objeto manchado durante siete días.
51 "On the seventh day the priest shall again examine the infection. If it has spread on the garment, or on the woven or knitted material, or on the leather, whatever be its use, the infection is malignant leprosy, and the article is unclean.	51 Al séptimo, el sacerdote examinará la mancha y si se ha extendido por el vestido, tejido, cobertor, piel o por un objeto de cuero, es un caso de lepra maligna y el objeto es impuro.
52 He shall therefore burn up the garment, or the woven or knitted material of wool or linen, or the leather article, whatever it may be, which is infected; since it has malignant leprosy, it must be destroyed by fire.	52 Se quemará el vestido, tejido, cobertor de lana o de lino o el objeto de cuero en que se encuentre la mancha, pues es lepra maligna; será quemado.
53 But if the priest, on examining the infection, finds that it has not spread on the garment, or on the woven or knitted material, or on the leather article,	53 Pero si el sacerdote ve que no se ha extendido la mancha por el vestido, tejido, cobertor o el objeto de cuero,
54 he shall give orders to have the infected article washed and then quarantined for another seven days.	54 hará lavar el objeto manchado y lo encerrará otros siete días.
55 "Then the priest shall again examine the infected article after it has been washed. If the infection has not changed its appearance, even though it may not have spread, the article is unclean and shall be destroyed by fire.	55 Si el sacerdote ve que la mancha, después de haber sido lavada, no ha mudado de aspecto, aunque la mancha no se haya extendido, el objeto es impuro; lo entregarás al fuego: es una infección por la cara y el envés.
56 But if the priest, on examining the infection, finds that it is dying out after the washing, he shall tear the infected part out of the garment, or the leather, or the woven or knitted material.	56 Pero si el sacerdote ve que la parte manchada, después de lavada, ha perdido color, la rasgará del vestido, del cuero, del tejido o del cobertor.
57 If, however, the infection again appears on the garment, or on the woven or knitted material, or on the leather article, it is still virulent and the thing infected shall be destroyed by fire.	57 Pero si vuelve a aparecer en el vestido, tejido, cobertor o en un objeto de cuero, es mal contagioso; quemarás lo que está afectado por la lepra.
58 But if, after the washing, the infection has left the garment, or the woven or knitted material, or the leather article, the thing shall be washed a second time, and thus it will be clean.	58 En cuanto al vestido, tejido, cobertor o el objeto de cuero, que después de ser lavado pierdan la mancha, serán lavados por segunda vez y quedarán puros.
59 This is the law for leprous infection on a garment of wool or linen, or on woven or knitted material, or on any leather article, to determine whether it is clean or unclean."	59 Estas es la ley para la mancha de lepra que se halla en los vestidos de lana o de lino, en el tejido e en el cobertor o en cualquier objeto hecho de cuero, para declararlos puros o impuros.
