Isaiah 60

1 Rise up in splendor! Your light has come, the glory of the Lord shines upon you.	1 קומי אורי כי בא אורך וכבוד יהוה עליך זרח
2 See, darkness covers the earth, and thick clouds cover the peoples; But upon you the LORD shines, and over you appears his glory.	2 כי הנה החשך יכסה ארץ וערפל לאמים ועליך יזרח יהוה וכבודו עליך יראה
3 Nations shall walk by your light, and kings by your shining radiance.	3 והלכו גוים לאורך ומלכים לנגה זרחך
4 Raise your eyes and look about; they all gather and come to you: Your sons come from afar, and your daughters in the arms of their nurses.	4 שאי סביב עיניך וראי כלם נקבצו באו לך בניך מרחוק יבאו ובנתיך על צד תאמנה
5 Then you shall be radiant at what you see, your heart shall throb and overflow, For the riches of the sea shall be emptied out before you, the wealth of nations shall be brought to you.	5 אז תראי ונהרת ופחד ורחב לבבך כי יהפך עליך המון ים חיל גוים יבאו לך
6 Caravans of camels shall fill you, dromedaries from Midian and Ephah; All from Sheba shall come bearing gold and frankincense, and proclaiming the praises of the LORD.	6 שפעת גמלים תכסך בכרי מדין ועיפה כלם משבא יבאו זהב ולבונה ישאו ותהלת יהוה יבשרו
7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered for you, the rams of Nebaioth shall be your sacrifices; They will be acceptable offerings on my altar, and I will enhance the splendor of my house.	7 כל צאן קדר יקבצו לך אילי נביות ישרתונך יעלו על רצון מזבחי ובית תפארתי אפאר
8 What are these that fly along like clouds, like doves to their cotes?	8 מי אלה כעב תעופינה וכיונים אל ארבתיהם
9 All the vessels of the sea are assembled, with the ships of Tarshish in the lead, To bring your children from afar with their silver and gold, In the name of the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, who has glorified you.	9 כי לי איים יקוו ואניות תרשיש בראשנה להביא בניך מרחוק כספם וזהבם אתם לשם יהוה אלהיך ולקדוש ישראל כי פארך
10 Foreigners shall rebuild your walls, and their kings shall be your attendants; Though I struck you in my wrath, yet in my good will I have shown you mercy.	10 ובנו בני נכר חמתיך ומלכיהם ישרתונך כי בקצפי הכיתיך וברצוני רחמתיך
11 Your gates shall stand open constantly; day and night they shall not be closed But shall admit to you the wealth of nations, and their kings, in the vanguard.	11 ופתחו שעריך תמיד יומם ולילה לא יסגרו להביא אליך חיל גוים ומלכיהם נהוגים
12 For the people or kingdom shall perish that does not serve you; those nations shall be utterly destroyed.	12 כי הגוי והממלכה אשר לא יעבדוך יאבדו והגוים חרב יחרבו
13 The glory of Lebanon shall come to you: the cypress, the plane and the pine, To bring beauty to my sanctuary, and glory to the place where I set my feet.	13 כבוד הלבנון אליך יבוא ברוש תדהר ותאשור יחדו לפאר מקום מקדשי ומקום רגלי אכבד
14 The children of your oppressors shall come, bowing low before you; All those who despised you shall fall prostrate at your feet. They shall call you "City of the LORD," "Zion of the Holy One of Israel."	14 והלכו אליך שחוח בני מעניך והשתחוו על כפות רגליך כל מנאציך וקראו לך עיר יהוה ציון קדוש ישראל
15 Once you were forsaken, hated and unvisited, Now I will make you the pride of the ages, a joy to generation after generation.	15 תחת היותך עזובה ושנואה ואין עובר ושמתיך לגאון עולם משוש דור ודור
16 You shall suck the milk of nations, and be nursed at royal breasts; You shall know that I, the LORD, am your savior, your redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.	16 וינקת חלב גוים ושד מלכים תינקי וידעת כי אני יהוה מושיעך וגאלך אביר יעקב
17 In place of bronze I will bring gold, instead of iron, silver; In place of wood, bronze, instead of stones, iron; I will appoint peace your governor, and justice your ruler.	17 תחת הנחשת אביא זהב ותחת הברזל אביא כסף ותחת העצים נחשת ותחת האבנים ברזל ושמתי פקדתך שלום ונגשיך צדקה
18 No longer shall violence be heard of in your land, or plunder and ruin within your boundaries. You shall call your walls "Salvation" and your gates "Praise."	18 לא ישמע עוד חמס בארצך שד ושבר בגבוליך וקראת ישועה חומתיך ושעריך תהלה
19 No longer shall the sun be your light by day, Nor the brightness of the moon shine upon you at night; The LORD shall be your light forever, your God shall be your glory.	19 לא יהיה לך עוד השמש לאור יומם ולנגה הירח לא יאיר לך והיה לך יהוה לאור עולם ואלהיך לתפארתך
20 No longer shall your sun go down, or your moon withdraw, For the LORD will be your light forever, and the days of your mourning shall be at an end.	20 לא יבוא עוד שמשך וירחך לא יאסף כי יהוה יהיה לך לאור עולם ושלמו ימי אבלך
21 Your people shall all be just, they shall always possess the land, They, the bud of my planting, my handiwork to show my glory.	21 ועמך כלם צדיקים לעולם יירשו ארץ נצר מטעו מעשה ידי להתפאר
22 The smallest shall become a thousand, the youngest, a mighty nation; I, the LORD, will swiftly accomplish these things when their time comes.	22 הקטן יהיה לאלף והצעיר לגוי עצום אני יהוה בעתה אחישנה
