Isaiah 60

1 Rise up in splendor! Your light has come, the glory of the Lord shines upon you.	1 Kelj fel, tündökölj, mert eljött világosságod, és az Úr dicsősége felragyogott fölötted!
2 See, darkness covers the earth, and thick clouds cover the peoples; But upon you the LORD shines, and over you appears his glory.	2 Mert íme, sötétség borítja a földet, és homály a népeket, de fölötted felragyog az Úr, és dicsősége megjelenik fölötted.
3 Nations shall walk by your light, and kings by your shining radiance.	3 Nemzetek jönnek majd világosságodhoz, és királyok felragyogó fényedhez.
4 Raise your eyes and look about; they all gather and come to you: Your sons come from afar, and your daughters in the arms of their nurses.	4 Hordozd körül szemedet, és lásd: mindnyájan összegyűltek, eljöttek hozzád! Fiaid messziről jönnek, és leányaidat ölben hozzák.
5 Then you shall be radiant at what you see, your heart shall throb and overflow, For the riches of the sea shall be emptied out before you, the wealth of nations shall be brought to you.	5 Akkor meglátod majd, és földerülsz, megdobban és kitágul a szíved; mert rád száll a tenger vagyona, nemzetek gazdagsága jön hozzád.
6 Caravans of camels shall fill you, dromedaries from Midian and Ephah; All from Sheba shall come bearing gold and frankincense, and proclaiming the praises of the LORD.	6 Tevék áradata borít el téged, Mádián és Éfa dromedárjai, mindnyájan Sábából jönnek; aranyat és tömjént hoznak, és az Úr dicső tetteit hirdetik.
7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered for you, the rams of Nebaioth shall be your sacrifices; They will be acceptable offerings on my altar, and I will enhance the splendor of my house.	7 Kedár minden nyája odagyűlik hozzád, Nábajót kosai neked szolgálnak; kedves áldozattá lesznek oltáromon, és dicsőséges házamat megdicsőítem.
8 What are these that fly along like clouds, like doves to their cotes?	8 Kik ezek, akik repülnek, mint a felhő, és mint a galambok dúcaikhoz?
9 All the vessels of the sea are assembled, with the ships of Tarshish in the lead, To bring your children from afar with their silver and gold, In the name of the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, who has glorified you.	9 Bizony, rám várnak a szigetek, és elöl Tarzis hajói, hogy elhozzák fiaidat a távolból, ezüstjüket és aranyukat velük együtt, az Úr, a te Istened nevének és Izrael Szentjének, mert megdicsőített téged.
10 Foreigners shall rebuild your walls, and their kings shall be your attendants; Though I struck you in my wrath, yet in my good will I have shown you mercy.	10 Idegenek fiai építik fel falaidat, és királyaik neked szolgálnak; mert haragomban megvertelek ugyan, de jóindulatomban megkönyörültem rajtad.
11 Your gates shall stand open constantly; day and night they shall not be closed But shall admit to you the wealth of nations, and their kings, in the vanguard.	11 Kapuid állandóan nyitva lesznek, sem nappal, sem éjjel nem zárják be őket, hogy behordják hozzád a nemzetek gazdagságát, és királyaikat bevezessék.
12 For the people or kingdom shall perish that does not serve you; those nations shall be utterly destroyed.	12 Mert az a nemzet és az a királyság, amely nem szolgál neked, elvész, és a nemzetek teljesen elpusztulnak.
13 The glory of Lebanon shall come to you: the cypress, the plane and the pine, To bring beauty to my sanctuary, and glory to the place where I set my feet.	13 Hozzád jön a Libanon dicsősége, ciprus, szilfa és cédrus egyaránt, hogy ékesítsék szent helyemet, és lábam helyét megdicsőítem.
14 The children of your oppressors shall come, bowing low before you; All those who despised you shall fall prostrate at your feet. They shall call you "City of the LORD," "Zion of the Holy One of Israel."	14 Meghajolva jönnek hozzád elnyomóid fiai, és lábad talpához borulnak mind, akik megvetettek; így neveznek téged: az Úr városa, Izrael Szentjének Sionja.
15 Once you were forsaken, hated and unvisited, Now I will make you the pride of the ages, a joy to generation after generation.	15 Elhagyatott voltál és gyűlöletes, s nem volt, aki feléd járt volna; de ehelyett örök fenséggé teszlek, sok-sok nemzedék örömévé.
16 You shall suck the milk of nations, and be nursed at royal breasts; You shall know that I, the LORD, am your savior, your redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.	16 Szopod majd a nemzetek tejét, és királyi emlőket fogsz szopni; akkor megtudod, hogy én vagyok az Úr, a te szabadítód, és a te megváltód, Jákob Hatalmasa.
17 In place of bronze I will bring gold, instead of iron, silver; In place of wood, bronze, instead of stones, iron; I will appoint peace your governor, and justice your ruler.	17 A réz helyett aranyat hozok, és a vas helyett ezüstöt hozok; a fa helyett rezet, és a kövek helyett vasat; felügyelőddé a békét teszem, és parancsolóddá az igazságot.
18 No longer shall violence be heard of in your land, or plunder and ruin within your boundaries. You shall call your walls "Salvation" and your gates "Praise."	18 Nem hallani többé erőszakról országodban, sem pusztulásról és romlásról határaidban; a szabadítást nevezed falaidnak, és kapuidnak a dicséretet.
19 No longer shall the sun be your light by day, Nor the brightness of the moon shine upon you at night; The LORD shall be your light forever, your God shall be your glory.	19 Nem lesz többé a nap nappali világosságod, és a hold fénye nem világít neked, hanem az Úr lesz neked örök világosságod, és Istened az ékességed.
20 No longer shall your sun go down, or your moon withdraw, For the LORD will be your light forever, and the days of your mourning shall be at an end.	20 Nem megy le többé napod, és holdad nem fogyatkozik meg, mert az Úr lesz neked örök világosságod, és letelnek gyászod napjai.
21 Your people shall all be just, they shall always possess the land, They, the bud of my planting, my handiwork to show my glory.	21 Néped csupa igazakból áll, örökre birtokba veszik az országot; ültetvényem hajtása, kezem műve, az én dicsőségemre.
22 The smallest shall become a thousand, the youngest, a mighty nation; I, the LORD, will swiftly accomplish these things when their time comes.	22 A legkisebb is ezerré lesz, és a legcsekélyebb hatalmas nemzetté. Én, az Úr, a maga idejében gyorsan végbeviszem.
