Psalms 96

NEW AMERICAN BIBLE	JERUSALEM
1 Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth.	1 Chantez à Yahvé un chant nouveau! Chantez à Yahvé, toute la terre!
2 Sing to the LORD, bless his name; announce his salvation day after day.	2 Chantez à Yahvé, bénissez son nom! Proclamez jour après jour son salut,
3 Tell God's glory among the nations; among all peoples, God's marvelous deeds.	3 racontez aux païens sa gloire, à tous les peuples ses merveilles!
4 For great is the LORD and highly to be praised, to be feared above all gods.	4 Grand, Yahvé, et louable hautement, redoutable, lui, par-dessus tous les dieux!
5 For the gods of the nations all do nothing, but the LORD made the heavens.	5 Néant, tous les dieux des nations. C'est Yahvé qui fit les cieux;
6 Splendor and power go before him; power and grandeur are in his holy place.	6 devant lui, splendeur et majesté, dans son sanctuaire, puissance et beauté.
7 Give to the LORD, you families of nations, give to the LORD glory and might;	7 Rapportez à Yahvé, familles des peuples, rapportez à Yahvé gloire et puissance,
8 give to the LORD the glory due his name! Bring gifts and enter his courts;	8 rapportez à Yahvé la gloire de son nom. Présentez l'oblation, entrez en ses parvis,
9 bow down to the LORD, splendid in holiness. Tremble before God, all the earth;	9 adorez Yahvé dans son éclat de sainteté. Tremblez devant lui, toute la terre.
10 say among the nations: The LORD is king. The world will surely stand fast, never to be moved. God rules the peoples with fairness.	10 Dites chez les païens: "Yahvé règne." Le monde est stable, point ne bronchera. Sur les peuples ilprononce avec droiture.
11 Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice; let the sea and what fills it resound;	11 Joie au ciel! exulte la terre! Que gronde la mer, et sa plénitude!
12 let the plains be joyful and all that is in them. Then let all the trees of the forest rejoice	12 Que jubile la campagne, et tout son fruit, que tous les arbres des forêts crient de joie,
13 before the LORD who comes, who comes to govern the earth, To govern the world with justice and the peoples with faithfulness.	13 à la face de Yahvé, car il vient, car il vient pour juger la terre; il jugera le monde en justice et lespeuples en sa vérité.
