Of David. To you, LORD, I call; my Rock, do not be deaf to me. If you fail to answer me, I will join those who go down to the pit. | 1 A Psalm of David, at the completion of the tabernacle. Bring to the Lord, O sons of God, bring to the Lord the sons of rams. |
Hear the sound of my pleading when I cry to you, lifting my hands toward your holy place. | 2 Bring to the Lord, glory and honor. Bring to the Lord, glory for his name. Adore the Lord in his holy court. |
Do not drag me off with the wicked, with those who do wrong, Who speak peace to their neighbors though evil is in their hearts. | 3 The voice of the Lord is over the waters. The God of majesty has thundered. The Lord is over many waters. |
Repay them for their deeds, for the evil that they do. For the work of their hands repay them; give them what they deserve. | 4 The voice of the Lord is in virtue. The voice of the Lord is in magnificence. |
They pay no heed to the LORD'S works, to the deeds of God's hands. God will tear them down, never to be rebuilt. | 5 The voice of the Lord shatters the cedars. And the Lord will shatter the cedars of Lebanon. |
Blessed be the LORD, who has heard the sound of my pleading. | 6 And it will break them into pieces, like a calf of Lebanon, and in the same way as the beloved son of the single-horned beast. |
The LORD is my strength and my shield, in whom my heart trusted and found help. So my heart rejoices; with my song I praise my God. | 7 The voice of the Lord cuts through the flame of fire. |
LORD, you are the strength of your people, the saving refuge of your anointed king. | 8 The voice of the Lord shakes the desert. And the Lord will quake the desert of Kadesh. |
Save your people, bless your inheritance; feed and sustain them forever! | 9 The voice of the Lord is preparing the stags, and he will reveal the dense woods. And in his temple, all will speak his glory. |
The Lord causes the great flood to dwell. And the Lord will sit as King in eternity. | |
The Lord will give virtue to his people. The Lord will bless his people in peace. |
