2 Lord, hear my cry! May your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.	2 Signore, ascolta la mia voce.Siano i tuoi orecchi attentialla voce della mia supplica.
3 If you, LORD, mark our sins, Lord, who can stand?	3 Se consideri le colpe, Signore,Signore, chi ti può resistere?
4 But with you is forgiveness and so you are revered.	4 Ma con te è il perdono:così avremo il tuo timore.
5 I wait with longing for the LORD, my soul waits for his word.	5 Io spero, Signore.Spera l’anima mia,attendo la sua parola.
6 My soul looks for the Lord more than sentinels for daybreak. More than sentinels for daybreak,	6 L’anima mia è rivolta al Signorepiù che le sentinelle all’aurora.Più che le sentinelle l’aurora,
7 let Israel look for the LORD, For with the LORD is kindness, with him is full redemption,	7 Israele attenda il Signore,perché con il Signore è la misericordiae grande è con lui la redenzione.
8 And God will redeem Israel from all their sins.	8 Egli redimerà Israeleda tutte le sue colpe.
