1 Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the LORD: I will sing to the LORD, for he is gloriously triumphant; horse and chariot he has cast into the sea.	1 Тоді Мойсей і сини Ізраїля заспівали Господеві ось яку пісню: Заспіваю Господеві, славно бо прославився; коня і вершника скинув у море.
2 My strength and my courage is the LORD, and he has been my savior. He is my God, I praise him; the God of my father, I extol him.	2 Сила і міць моя — Господь, він став мені рятунком. Він мій Бог, і я його прославлю, Бог батька мого, і я вихвалятиму його.
3 The LORD is a warrior, LORD is his name!	3 Господь — муж войовник, Господь — ім’я йому.
4 Pharaoh's chariots and army he hurled into the sea; the elite of his officers were submerged in the Red Sea.	4 Полки і колісниці фараона вкинув у море, виквіт вождів його втопивсь у Червонім морі.
5 The flood waters covered them, they sank into the depths like a stone.	5 Безодні їх покрили, пішли на дно неначе камінь.
6 Your right hand, O LORD, magnificent in power, your right hand, O LORD, has shattered the enemy.	6 Твоя правиця, Господи, прославилась у силі, твоя правиця розгромила ворога.
7 In your great majesty you overthrew your adversaries; you loosed your wrath to consume them like stubble.	7 Ти величчю надмірною своєю знищив супротивників. Послав ти гнів твій, що, мов стебло, пожер їх.
8 At a breath of your anger the waters piled up, the flowing waters stood like a mound, the flood waters congealed in the midst of the sea.	8 Від подиху ярости твоєї збились у купу води, і стали валом хвилі, згусла хуртовина на дні моря.
9 The enemy boasted, "I will pursue and overtake them; I will divide the spoils and have my fill of them; I will draw my sword; my hand shall despoil them!"	9 Ворог сказав: Пущуся за ним, дожену, розділю здобич, насичу жагу свою. Я вийму меч мій, моя рука їх знищить.
10 When your wind blew, the sea covered them; like lead they sank in the mighty waters.	10 Ти дмухнув вітром, їх укрило море; мов оливо, втонули у водах глибоких.
11 Who is like to you among the gods, O LORD? Who is like to you, magnificent in holiness? O terrible in renown, worker of wonders,	11 Хто, як ти, Господи, між богами, хто, як ти, у святості величній, страшний у славі, що твориш чудеса?
12 when you stretched out your right hand, the earth swallowed them!	12 Ти простягнув правицю, пожерла їх земля. Ти провадив у милості своїй народ, що врятував його.
13 In your mercy you led the people you redeemed; in your strength you guided them to your holy dwelling.	13 Привів його потугою своєю до житла святого твого.
14 The nations heard and quaked; anguish gripped the dwellers in Philistia.	14 Почули те народи, затремтіли; жах огорнув мешканців Філістії.
15 Then were the princes of Edom dismayed; trembling seized the chieftains of Moab; All the dwellers in Canaan melted away;	15 Тоді зжахнулися едомські дуки, страх охопив князів моавських, ханааняни ж усі поникли духом.
16 terror and dread fell upon them. By the might of your arm they were frozen like stone, while your people, O LORD, passed over, while the people you had made your own passed over.	16 Страх напав і жах великий, від сильної руки твоєї вони окаменіли, докіль пройшов народ твій, Господи, докіль пройшов народ цей, що ти його собі придбав.
17 And you brought them in and planted them on the mountain of your inheritance-- the place where you made your seat, O LORD, the sanctuary, O LORD, which your hands established.	17 Ти ввів їх і насадив на власній горі своїй; на місці, що зготував, Господи, собі для житла, у святині, що твої руки, Господи, заснували.
18 The LORD shall reign forever and ever.	18 Господь царює назавжди і ввіки.
19 They sang thus because Pharaoh's horses and chariots and charioteers had gone into the sea, and the LORD made the waters of the sea flow back upon them, though the Israelites had marched on dry land through the midst of the sea.	19 Коли фараонові колісниці й вершники ввійшли в море, Господь повернув на них морські води; сини ж Ізраїля пройшли по суші, серед моря.
20 The prophetess Miriam, Aaron's sister, took a tambourine in her hand, while all the women went out after her with tambourines, dancing;	20 Взяла тоді Марія, пророчиця, Аронова сестра, літаври у руку; і вийшло все жіноцтво за нею з бубнами та хороводами.
21 and she led them in the refrain: Sing to the LORD, for he is gloriously triumphant; horse and chariot he has cast into the sea.	21 І приспівувала їм Марія: Співайте Господеві, славно бо прославився; коня і вершника скинув у море.
22 Then Moses led Israel forward from the Red Sea, and they marched out to the desert of Shur. After traveling for three days through the desert without finding water,	22 І повелів Мойсей Ізраїлеві вирушати з-над Червоного моря; і двинули вони до Шур-пустині, і йшли три дні пустинею та й не знаходили води.
23 they arrived at Marah, where they could not drink the water, because it was too bitter. Hence this place was called Marah.	23 Прийшли вони в Меру, та води з Мери не могли пити, бо гірка була; тим і прозвали те місце Мера.
24 As the people grumbled against Moses, saying, "What are we to drink?"	24 І нарікали люди на Мойсея, говоривши: Що нам пити?
25 he appealed to the LORD, who pointed out to him a certain piece of wood. When he threw this into the water, the water became fresh.It was here that the LORD, in making rules and regulations for them, put them to the test.	25 А він заголосив до Господа; і вказав йому Господь дерево; вкинув він його у воду, і вода стала солодкою. Там дав він їм закон і суд, там випробував їх.
26 "If you really listen to the voice of the LORD, your God," he told them, "and do what is right in his eyes: if you heed his commandments and keep all his precepts, I will not afflict you with any of the diseases with which I afflicted the Egyptians; for I, the LORD, am your healer."	26 І сказав: Коли ти пильно слухатимешся голосу Господа, Бога твого, і чинитимеш те, що йому довподоби, і вважатимеш на його накази, і дотримуватимешся всіх його установ, ані одної з тих недуг, що я навів був на Єгипет, не наведу на тебе: я бо Господь, твій цілитель.
27 Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees, and they camped there near the water.	27 Потім прийшли в Елім, де було дванадцять водних джерел і сімдесят пальм. І отаборились там над водою.
