1 Chronicles 16

NEW AMERICAN BIBLE	LXX
1 They brought in the ark of God and set it within the tent which David had pitched for it. Then they offered up holocausts and peace offerings to God.	1 και εισηνεγκαν την κιβωτον του θεου και απηρεισαντο αυτην εν μεσω της σκηνης ης επηξεν αυτη δαυιδ και προσηνεγκαν ολοκαυτωματα και σωτηριου εναντιον του θεου
2 When David had finished offering up the holocausts and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD,	2 και συνετελεσεν δαυιδ αναφερων ολοκαυτωματα και σωτηριου και ευλογησεν τον λαον εν ονοματι κυριου
3 and distributed to every Israelite, to every man and every woman, a loaf of bread, a piece of meat, and a raisin cake.	3 και διεμερισεν παντι ανδρι ισραηλ απο ανδρος και εως γυναικος τω ανδρι αρτον ενα αρτοκοπικον και αμοριτην
4 He now appointed certain Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, to celebrate, thank, and praise the LORD, the God of Israel.	4 και εταξεν κατα προσωπον της κιβωτου διαθηκης κυριου εκ των λευιτων λειτουργουντας αναφωνουντας και εξομολογεισθαι και αινειν κυριον τον θεον ισραηλ
5 Asaph was their chief, and second to him were Zechariah, Uzziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-edom, and Jeiel. These were to play on harps and lyres, while Asaph was to sound the cymbals,	5 ασαφ ο ηγουμενος και δευτερευων αυτω ζαχαριας ιιηλ σεμιραμωθ ιιηλ ματταθιας ελιαβ και βαναιας και αβδεδομ και ιιηλ εν οργανοις ναβλαις και κινυραις και ασαφ εν κυμβαλοις αναφωνων
6 and the priests Benaiah and Jahaziel were to be the regular trumpeters before the ark of the covenant of God.	6 και βαναιας και οζιηλ οι ιερεις εν ταις σαλπιγξιν δια παντος εναντιον της κιβωτου της διαθηκης του θεου
7 Then, on that same day, David appointed Asaph and his brethren to sing for the first time these praises of the LORD:	7 εν τη ημερα εκεινη τοτε εταξεν δαυιδ εν αρχη του αινειν τον κυριον εν χειρι ασαφ και των αδελφων αυτου
8 Give thanks to the LORD, invoke his name; make known among the nations his deeds.	8 εξομολογεισθε τω κυριω επικαλεισθε αυτον εν ονοματι αυτου γνωρισατε εν λαοις τα επιτηδευματα αυτου
9 Sing to him, sing his praise, proclaim all his wondrous deeds.	9 ασατε αυτω και υμνησατε αυτω διηγησασθε πασιν τα θαυμασια αυτου α εποιησεν κυριος
10 Glory in his holy name; rejoice, O hearts that seek the LORD!	10 αινειτε εν ονοματι αγιω αυτου ευφρανθησεται καρδια ζητουσα την ευδοκιαν αυτου
11 Look to the LORD in his strength; seek to serve him constantly.	11 ζητησατε τον κυριον και ισχυσατε ζητησατε το προσωπον αυτου δια παντος
12 Recall the wondrous deeds that he has wrought, his portents, and the judgments he has uttered,	12 μνημονευετε τα θαυμασια αυτου α εποιησεν τερατα και κριματα του στοματος αυτου
13 You descendants of Israel, his servants, sons of Jacob, his chosen ones!	13 σπερμα ισραηλ παιδες αυτου υιοι ιακωβ εκλεκτοι αυτου
14 He, the LORD, is our God; throughout the earth his judgments prevail.	14 αυτος κυριος ο θεος ημων εν παση τη γη τα κριματα αυτου
15 He remembers forever his covenant which he made binding for a thousand generations--	15 μνημονευων εις αιωνα διαθηκης αυτου λογον αυτου ον ενετειλατο εις χιλιας γενεας
16 Which he entered into with Abraham and by his oath to Isaac;	16 ον διεθετο τω αβρααμ και τον ορκον αυτου τω ισαακ
17 Which he established for Jacob by statute, for Israel as an everlasting covenant,	17 εστησεν αυτον τω ιακωβ εις προσταγμα τω ισραηλ διαθηκην αιωνιον
18 Saying, "To you will I give the land of Canaan as your allotted inheritance."	18 λεγων σοι δωσω την γην χανααν σχοινισμα κληρονομιας υμων
19 When they were few in number, a handful, and strangers there,	19 εν τω γενεσθαι αυτους ολιγοστους αριθμω ως εσμικρυνθησαν και παρωκησαν εν αυτη
20 Wandering from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people,	20 και επορευθησαν απο εθνους εις εθνος και απο βασιλειας εις λαον ετερον
21 He let no one oppress them, and for their sake he rebuked kings:	21 ουκ αφηκεν ανδρα του δυναστευσαι αυτους και ηλεγξεν περι αυτων βασιλεις
22 "Touch not my anointed, and to my prophets do no harm."	22 μη αψησθε των χριστων μου και εν τοις προφηταις μου μη πονηρευεσθε
23 Sing to the LORD, all the earth, announce his salvation, day after day	23 ασατε τω κυριω πασα η γη αναγγειλατε εξ ημερας εις ημεραν σωτηριαν αυτου
24 Tell his glory among the nations; among all peoples, his wondrous deeds.	24 -
25 For great is the LORD and highly to be praised; and awesome is he, beyond all gods.	25 οτι μεγας κυριος και αινετος σφοδρα φοβερος εστιν επι παντας τους θεους
26 For all the gods of the nations are things of nought, but the LORD made the heavens.	26 οτι παντες οι θεοι των εθνων ειδωλα και ο θεος ημων ουρανον εποιησεν
27 Splendor and majesty go before him; praise and joy are in his holy place.	27 δοξα και επαινος κατα προσωπον αυτου ισχυς και καυχημα εν τοπω αυτου
28 Give to the LORD, you families of nations, give to the LORD glory and praise;	28 δοτε τω κυριω πατριαι των εθνων δοτε τω κυριω δοξαν και ισχυν
29 Give to the LORD the glory due his name! Bring gifts, and enter his presence; worship the LORD in holy attire.	29 δοτε τω κυριω δοξαν ονοματος αυτου λαβετε δωρα και ενεγκατε κατα προσωπον αυτου και προσκυνησατε τω κυριω εν αυλαις αγιαις αυτου
30 Tremble before him, all the earth; he has made the world firm, not to be moved.	30 φοβηθητω απο προσωπου αυτου πασα η γη κατορθωθητω η γη και μη σαλευθητω
31 Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice; let them say among the nations: The LORD is king.	31 ευφρανθητω ο ουρανος και αγαλλιασθω η γη και ειπατωσαν εν τοις εθνεσιν κυριος βασιλευων
32 Let the sea and what fills it resound; let the plains rejoice and all that is in them!	32 βομβησει η θαλασσα συν τω πληρωματι και ξυλον αγρου και παντα τα εν αυτω
33 Then shall all the trees of the forest exult before the LORD, for he comes: he comes to rule the earth.	33 τοτε ευφρανθησεται τα ξυλα του δρυμου απο προσωπου κυριου οτι ηλθεν κριναι την γην
34 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his kindness endures forever;	34 εξομολογεισθε τω κυριω οτι αγαθον οτι εις τον αιωνα το ελεος αυτου
35 And say, "Save us, O God, our savior, gather us and deliver us from the nations, That we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in praising you."	35 και ειπατε σωσον ημας ο θεος της σωτηριας ημων και εξελου ημας εκ των εθνων του αινειν το ονομα το αγιον σου και καυχασθαι εν ταις αινεσεσιν σου
36 Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, through all eternity! Let all the people say, Amen! Alleluia.	36 ευλογημενος κυριος ο θεος ισραηλ απο του αιωνος και εως του αιωνος και ερει πας ο λαος αμην και ηνεσαν τω κυριω
37 Then David left Asaph and his brethren there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD to minister before the ark regularly according to the daily ritual;	37 και κατελιπον εκει εναντι της κιβωτου διαθηκης κυριου τον ασαφ και τους αδελφους αυτου του λειτουργειν εναντιον της κιβωτου δια παντος το της ημερας εις ημεραν
38 he also left there Obed-edom and sixty-eight of his brethren, including Obed-edom, son of Jeduthun, and Hosah, to be gatekeepers.	38 και αβδεδομ και οι αδελφοι αυτου εξηκοντα και οκτω και αβδεδομ υιος ιδιθων και οσσα εις πυλωρους
39 But the priest Zadok and his priestly brethren he left before the Dwelling of the LORD on the high place at Gibeon,	39 και τον σαδωκ τον ιερεα και τους αδελφους αυτου τους ιερεις εναντιον σκηνης κυριου εν βαμα τη εν γαβαων
40 to offer holocausts to the LORD on the altar of holocausts regularly, morning and evening, and to do all that is written in the law of the LORD which he has decreed for Israel.	40 του αναφερειν ολοκαυτωματα τω κυριω επι του θυσιαστηριου των ολοκαυτωματων δια παντος το πρωι και το εσπερας και κατα παντα τα γεγραμμενα εν νομω κυριου οσα ενετειλατο εφ' υιοις ισραηλ εν χειρι μωυση του θεραποντος του θεου
41 With them were Heman and Jeduthun and the others who were chosen and designated by name to give thanks to the LORD, "because his kindness endures forever,"	41 και μετ' αυτου αιμαν και ιδιθων και οι λοιποι εκλεγεντες επ' ονοματος του αινειν τον κυριον οτι εις τον αιωνα το ελεος αυτου
42 with trumpets and cymbals for accompaniment, and instruments for the sacred chant. The sons of Jeduthun kept the gate.	42 και μετ' αυτων σαλπιγγες και κυμβαλα του αναφωνειν και οργανα των ωδων του θεου υιοι ιδιθων εις την πυλην
43 Then all the people departed, each to his own home, and David returned to bless his household.	43 και επορευθη απας ο λαος εκαστος εις τον οικον αυτου και επεστρεψεν δαυιδ του ευλογησαι τον οικον αυτου
