1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,	1 Dopo aver molte volte e in molte guise, anticamente, parlato ai padri per i profeti,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;	2 in questi ultimi tempi Dio ci ha parlato per il Figliolo, che Egli ha costituito erede di tutte quante le cose, per mezzo del quale fece anche i secoli.
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;	3 Il Figlio, essendo lo splendore della gloria, l'imagine della sostanza di Dio e tutto sostenendo colla parola sua potente, dopo averci purificati dai peccati, siede alla destra della Maestà divina nel più alto dei cieli,
4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.	4 tanto più sublime degli Angeli, quanto è più eccellente del loro il nome che egli ebbe in retaggio.
5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?	5 Infatti a quale degli Angeli disse mai Dio: Tu sei il mio Figliolo: oggi io ti ho generato? E di nuovo: Io gli sarò Padre, ed egli mi sarà Figliolo?
6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.	6 E ancora, quando introduce il Primogenito nel mondo, dice: E lo adorino tutti gli Angeli di Dio.
7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.	7 Mentre invece, parlando degli Angeli, dice: Egli fa suoi Angeli gli spiriti e suoi ministri i fuochi fiammanti.
8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.	8 Ma al Figliolo dice: Il tuo trono o Dio, è nei secoli dei secoli; scettro d'equità è lo scettro del tuo regno;
9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.	9 tu hai amato la giustizia ed hai odiato l'iniquità: per questo, o Dio, il tuo Dio ti ha unto con olio di esultazione al di sopra dei tuoi consorti.
10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:	10 E « tu in principio, o Signore, fondasti la terra, e opera delle tue mani sono i cieli.
11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;	11 Essi periranno, ma tu durerai e tutti invecchieranno come un vestito;
12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.	12 li cambierai come un mantello e saranno mutati; ma tu rimani sempre lo stesso e gli anni tuoi non verranno meno ».
13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?	13 A qual degli Angeli ha egli detto mai: Siedi alla mia destra, finch'io non faccia dei tuoi nemici lo sgabello dei tuoi piedi?
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?	14 Non son essi tutti spiriti ministri, mandati ad esercitare il loro ministero in grazia di coloro che devono acquistare l'eredità della salute?
