1 After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he himself.	1 - Dopo queste cose Gesù si manifestò di nuovo ai discepoli al mare di Tiberiade; e si manifestò in questo modo.
2 There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.	2 Simon Pietro, Tommaso detto Didimo, Natanaele che era di Cana in Galilea, i figliuoli di Zebedeo e due altri discepoli si trovavano insieme.
3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.	3 Simon Pietro disse loro: «Vado a pescare», e gli altri soggiunsero: «Veniamo anche noi». Così partirono e salirono nella barca, e in tutta la notte non presero nulla.
4 But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.	4 Sul far del giorno, Gesù stette sulla riva, ma i discepoli non riconobbero che era Gesù.
5 Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.	5 Gesù disse loro: «Figliuoli, non avete qualche cosa da mangiare?». Ed essi risposero: «No».
6 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.	6 Egli allora soggiunse: «Gettate la rete a destra della barca e ne troverete». Essi dunque la gettarono, e non potevano più tirarla per la gran quantità di pesce.
7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.	7 Allora il discepolo prediletto da Gesù, disse a Pietro: «È il Signore!». Simon Pietro, avendo sentito che era il Signore, si rivestì de' suoi abiti, perchè era nudo, e si buttò in mare.
8 And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes.	8 E gli altri discepoli vennero con la barca, essendo lontani da terra circa duecento cubiti, e trascinarono la rete con i pesci.
9 As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.	9 Discesi a terra, trovarono un fuoco acceso, con del pesce preparato sopra e del pane.
10 Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.	10 Gesù disse loro: «Portate qua dei pesci presi or ora».
11 Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, and hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.	11 Simon Pietro salì e tirò a terra la rete piena di centocinquantatrè grossi pesci; e benchè fossero tanti, la rete non si era rotta.
12 Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.	12 Gesù disse loro: «Venite e mangiate». Nessuno tra quelli che s'erano assisi osava domandargli: «Tu chi sei?», perchè essi sapevano ch'era il Signore.
13 Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.	13 Gesù si avvicinò, prese il pane e lo distribuì, e così fece col pesce.
14 This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.	14 Questa era già la terza volta che Gesù si manifestava ai suoi discepoli, dopo essere risorto dai morti.
15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.	15 Quando ebbero mangiato, Gesù disse a Simon Pietro: «Simone di Giovanni, mi ami tu più di costoro?». Egli gli rispose: «Sì, Signore, tu sai che io ti amo». Gli disse: «Pasci i miei agnelli».
16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.	16 Di nuovo gli domandò: «Simone di Giovanni, mi ami tu?». Gli rispose: «Sì, Signore, tu sai che io ti amo». Gli disse: «Pasci i miei agnelli».
17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.	17 Per la terza volta gli chiese: «Simone di Giovanni, mi ami tu?». Pietro s'attristò perchè gli aveva detto per la terza volta: «Mi ami tu?», ed esclamò: «Signore, tu sai ogni cosa, tu sai che io ti amo». Gli disse [Gesù]: «Pasci le mie pecore.
18 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.	18 In verità, in verità ti dico: quando tu eri più giovane ti cingevi da solo e andavi dove volevi; ma quando sarai vecchio, tenderai le mani e un altro ti cingerà e ti condurrà dove non vorrai».
19 This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.	19 Disse questo per indicare con qual morte avrebbe reso gloria a Dio. E detto ciò, gli soggiunse: «Seguimi».
20 Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?	20 Pietro, voltatosi, vide venirgli appresso il discepolo prediletto da Gesù, quegli che durante la cena aveva posato il capo sul petto di Gesù e aveva chiesto: «Signore, chi è che ti tradisce?».
21 Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?	21 Pietro vedendolo domandò a Gesù: «Signore, e di costui che sarà?».
22 Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.	22 Gesù rispose: «Se voglio ch'egli rimanga finchè io venga, che t'importa? Tu seguimi».
23 Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?	23 Si sparse così tra i fratelli la voce che quel discepolo non muore; Gesù però non disse: «Non muore», ma: «Se voglio che egli rimanga finchè io venga, che t'importa?».
24 This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.	24 Questo è il discepolo che attesta queste cose e le ha scritte; e noi sappiamo che la sua testimonianza è verace.
25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.	25 Vi sono ancora molte altre cose fatte da Gesù; che se si volesse scriverle ad una ad una, il mondo intero, credo, non potrebbe contenere i libri che si dovrebbero scrivere.
