1 And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan;	1 Or Gesù, finiti questi discorsi, si parti dalla Galilea e andò nel territorio della Giudea di là del Giordano.
2 And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.	2 E lo seguì molta gente ed egli curò i loro malati.
3 The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?	3 E si accostarono a lui dei Farisei per tentarlo, e gli dissero: E' lecito all'uomo ripudiare, per un motivo qualsiasi, la propria moglie?
4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,	4 Ed egli rispose loro: Non avete letto che il Creatore da principio li creò maschio e femmina? E disse:
5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?	5 Per questo l'uomo lascerà il padre e la madre e si unirà con la moglie, e i due saranno una sola carne.
6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.	6 Dunque, non son più due, ma una sola carne. Ciò che Dio ha congiunto l'uomo dunque non lo divida.
7 They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?	7 Ma perchè dunque, gli replicarono, Mosè comandò di dare il libello del ripudio e di mandarla via?
8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.	8 E Gesù: Per la durezza del vostro cuore, Mosè vi permise di ripudiare le vostre mogli; ma da principio non fu così.
9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.	9 Però io vi dico: chi rimanda la propria moglie, eccetto in caso di fornicazione, e ne prende un'altra, è adultero; e chi sposa la ripudiata è adultero.
10 His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.	10 Gli dicono i suoi discepoli: Se tale è la condizione dell'uomo rispetto alla moglie, non mette conto sposarsi.
11 But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.	11 Ed egli disse loro: Non tutti capiscono questo, ma soltanto quelli a cui è stato concesso.
12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.	12 Ci sono infatti degli eunuchi, usciti tali dal seno della madre, e ci sono degli eunuchi fatti tali dagli uomini, e ci sono di quelli che si son fatti eunuchi da sè in vista del regno dei cieli. Comprenda chi può.
13 Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.	13 Allora gli furono presentati dei bambini, affinchè imponesse loro le mani pregando. Ma i discepoli li sgridavano.
14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.	14 E Gesù disse loro: Lasciateli fare i bambini, e non impedite loro di venire a me: di tali è infatti il re­gno dei cieli.
15 And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence.	15 E imposte loro le mani, se ne partì.
16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?	16 Ed ecco un tale accostarsi e dirgli: Buon maestro, che dovrò fare di bene io per avere la vita eterna?
17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.	17 E Gesù gli rispose: Perchè m'interroghi riguardo al bene? Uno solo è buono, Dio. Or se vuoi entrare nella vita, osserva i comandamenti.
18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,	18 Quali? gli domandò. E Gesù rispose: Non uccidere, non commettere adulterio, non rubare, non testimoniare il falso:
19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.	19 onora il padre e la madre, e ama il prossimo tuo come te stesso.
20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?	20 E il giovane a lui: Tutto questo l'ho osservato fin da fanciullo; che altro mi manca?
21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.	21 Gesù gli rispose: Se vuoi essere perfetto, va', vendi quanto hai, dallo ai poveri e avrai un tesoro nel cielo, poi vieni e seguimi.
22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.	22 Ma il giovane, udite queste parole, se ne andò via tutto contristato, perchè aveva molti beni.
23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.	23 E Gesù disse ai suoi discepoli: In verità vi dico: un ricco entrerà difficilmente nel regno dei cieli.
24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.	24 E vi dico di più, che è più facile per un cammello passare per una cruna d'ago che per un ricco entrare nel regno dei cieli.
25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?	25 Udito ciò i discepoli, molto maravigliati, esclamarono: Chi potrà dunque salvarsi?
26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.	26 E Gesù, guardatili, disse loro: Questo è impossibile agli uomini, ma a Dio tutto è possibile.
27 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?	27 Allora Pietro prese addirgli: Ecco noi abbiamo lasciato ogni cosa e ti abbiamo seguito, che ce ne verrà?
28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.	28 E Gesù disse loro: In verità vi dico: voi che mi avete seguito, nella rigenerazione, quando il Figlio dell'uomo sederà sul trono della sua gloria, sederete anche voi sopra dodici troni a giudicare le dodici tribù d'Israele.
29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.	29 E chi avrà lasciato la casa, fratelli o sorelle, o padre o madre, o moglie o figli, o i campi per amor del mio nome, riceverà il centuplo, e possederà la vita eterna.
30 But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.	30 E molti, di primi saranno ultimi, e d'ultimi primi.
