1 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,	1 Yahvé dit à Moïse et à Aaron:
2 Take the sum of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, after their families, by the house of their fathers,	2 “Parmi les fils de Lévi, tu feras le compte des fils de Kahat selon leurs familles et leurs clans,
3 From thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all that enter into the host, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.	3 depuis l’âge de 30 ans et au-dessus, jusqu’à l’âge de 50 ans. Tous ceux-ci ont à faire leur service, à remplir une fonction dans la Tente du Rendez-Vous.
4 This shall be the service of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation, about the most holy things:	4 Voici le service qu’accompliront les fils de Kahat dans la Tente du Rendez-Vous: c’est un service très saint!
5 And when the camp setteth forward, Aaron shall come, and his sons, and they shall take down the covering vail, and cover the ark of testimony with it:	5 Quand on lèvera le camp, Aaron et ses fils descendront le voile et ils en couvriront l’Arche du Témoignage.
6 And shall put thereon the covering of badgers' skins, and shall spread over it a cloth wholly of blue, and shall put in the staves thereof.	6 Ils mettront dessus une couverture de peau de poisson et il étendront par-dessus un drap de pourpre violette, ensuite ils placeront les barres.
7 And upon the table of shewbread they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put thereon the dishes, and the spoons, and the bowls, and covers to cover withal: and the continual bread shall be thereon:	7 Ils étendront sur la table des pains de proposition un drap de pourpre violette; ils mettront dessus les plats, les coupes, les assiettes et les gobelets pour les libations, ainsi que le pain d’offrande.
8 And they shall spread upon them a cloth of scarlet, and cover the same with a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put in the staves thereof.	8 Ils étendront par-dessus un drap teint en rouge qu’ils envelopperont d’une couverture de peau de poisson et ils fixeront les barres de la table.
9 And they shall take a cloth of blue, and cover the candlestick of the light, and his lamps, and his tongs, and his snuffdishes, and all the oil vessels thereof, wherewith they minister unto it:	9 Ils prendront un drap de pourpre violette et ils en couvriront le chandelier, les lampes, les éteignoirs, les cendriers et les vases pour l’huile nécessaires pour son service.
10 And they shall put it and all the vessels thereof within a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put it upon a bar.	10 Ils placeront le tout dans une couverture de peau de poisson et le mettront sur un brancard.
11 And upon the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put to the staves thereof:	11 Ils étendront un drap de pourpre violette sur l’autel d’or, ils l’envelopperont d’une couverture de peau de poisson et fixeront les barres.
12 And they shall take all the instruments of ministry, wherewith they minister in the sanctuary, and put them in a cloth of blue, and cover them with a covering of badgers' skins, and shall put them on a bar:	12 Ils prendront tous les ustensiles en usage dans le sanctuaire, les mettront dans un drap de pourpre violette et les envelopperont d’une couverture de peau de poisson, ensuite ils les mettront sur un brancard.
13 And they shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth thereon:	13 Ils enlèveront les cendres de l’autel et étendront par-dessus un drap de pourpre rouge.
14 And they shall put upon it all the vessels thereof, wherewith they minister about it, even the censers, the fleshhooks, and the shovels, and the basons, all the vessels of the altar; and they shall spread upon it a covering of badgers' skins, and put to the staves of it.	14 Ils poseront dessus tous les objets nécessaires à son service: les grils, les fourchettes, les pelles, les bassins, tous les objets qui servent pour l’autel. Ils étendront sur le tout une couverture de peau de poisson et fixeront les barres.
15 And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation.	15 Quand Aaron et ses fils achèveront d’envelopper le sanctuaire et tous les objets du sanctuaire; on lèvera le camp. Les fils de Kahat viendront pour tout emporter mais ils ne toucheront pas les objets sacrés; sinon ils mourraient. Voilà la responsabilité des fils de Kahat dans la Tente du Rendez-Vous.
16 And to the office of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest pertaineth the oil for the light, and the sweet incense, and the daily meat offering, and the anointing oil, and the oversight of all the tabernacle, and of all that therein is, in the sanctuary, and in the vessels thereof.	16 Éléazar, fils d’Aaron le prêtre, aura la charge de l’huile du chandelier, du parfum d’agréable odeur, de l’offrande perpétuelle, de l’huile de consécration. Il veillera sur toute la Demeure et tout ce qu’elle contient: il sera responsable du sanctuaire et de ses ustensiles.”
17 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,	17 Yahvé dit à Moïse et à Aaron:
18 Cut ye not off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites:	18 “Ne causez pas la perte d’une famille de Lévi, la tribu des Kahatites.
19 But thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden:	19 Voici comment vous ferez pour qu’ils restent en vie et ne meurent pas quand ils s’approcheront des choses très saintes. Aaron et ses fils s’approcheront et fixeront à chacun d’entre eux son service et ce qu’il doit porter,
20 But they shall not go in to see when the holy things are covered, lest they die.	20 mais ils n’entreront pas, ne serait-ce qu’un instant, pour voir les choses saintes; autrement ils mourraient.”
21 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,	21 Yahvé dit à Moïse:
22 Take also the sum of the sons of Gershon, throughout the houses of their fathers, by their families;	22 “Compte les fils de Guerchon selon leurs clans et leurs familles.
23 From thirty years old and upward until fifty years old shalt thou number them; all that enter in to perform the service, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.	23 Tu les compteras à partir de l’âge de 30 ans et au-dessus, jusqu’à l’âge de 50 ans; tous ceux-ci auront à remplir un service, une fonction dans la Tente du Rendez-Vous.
24 This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, to serve, and for burdens:	24 Voici quel sera le service des familles Guerchonites, ce qu’elles auront à faire et à porter.
25 And they shall bear the curtains of the tabernacle, and the tabernacle of the congregation, his covering, and the covering of the badgers' skins that is above upon it, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation,	25 Leurs fils porteront les tentures de la Demeure, la Tente du Rendez-Vous, sa couverture et la couverture de peau de poisson qui se place par-dessus, le rideau qui est à l’entrée de la Tente du Rendez-Vous,
26 And the hangings of the court, and the hanging for the door of the gate of the court, which is by the tabernacle and by the altar round about, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and all that is made for them: so shall they serve.	26 les tentures de la cour et le rideau de l’entrée de la porte de la cour qui entoure la Demeure et l’autel, les cordes et tous les accessoires: ce sera leur service et leur travail.
27 At the appointment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burdens, and in all their service: and ye shall appoint unto them in charge all their burdens.	27 Tout le service des Guerchonites se fera sous les ordres d’Aaron et de ses fils, aussi bien pour ce qu’ils auront à porter, que pour ce qu’ils auront à faire. Vous leur confierez tout ce qu’ils auront à porter.
28 This is the service of the families of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of the congregation: and their charge shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.	28 Voilà le service des familles des Guerchonites pour la Tente du Rendez-Vous. Ils rempliront ce service sous la direction d’Itamar, fils d’Aaron le prêtre.
29 As for the sons of Merari, thou shalt number them after their families, by the house of their fathers;	29 Tu compteras les fils de Mérari selon leurs familles et leurs clans.
30 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old shalt thou number them, every one that entereth into the service, to do the work of the tabernacle of the congregation.	30 Tu les compteras depuis l’âge de 30 ans et au-dessus, jusqu’à l’âge de 50 ans; tous ceux-ci auront un service à remplir, une fonction dans la Tente du Rendez-Vous.
31 And this is the charge of their burden, according to all their service in the tabernacle of the congregation; the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and sockets thereof,	31 Voici ce qui leur sera confié, ce qu’ils auront à transporter de la Tente du Rendez-Vous: les planches de la Demeure, les traverses, les colonnes et leur support,
32 And the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords, with all their instruments, and with all their service: and by name ye shall reckon the instruments of the charge of their burden.	32 les colonnes qui entourent la cour et leur support, les piquets et les cordes, tous les accessoires et tout ce qui sert à les monter. Vous recenserez un par un tous les objets qu’ils devront transporter.
33 This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service, in the tabernacle of the congregation, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.	33 Voilà quel sera le service des familles des Mérarites pour la Tente du Rendez-Vous, sous les ordres d’Itamar, fils d’Aaron le prêtre.”
34 And Moses and Aaron and the chief of the congregation numbered the sons of the Kohathites after their families, and after the house of their fathers,	34 Moïse et Aaron, et les chefs de la communauté, recensèrent donc les fils de Kahat, selon leurs familles et leurs clans.
35 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation:	35 Tous ceux qui avaient 30 ans et au-delà, jusqu’à l’âge de 50 ans, avaient une charge, un service dans la Tente du Rendez-Vous.
36 And those that were numbered of them by their families were two thousand seven hundred and fifty.	36 On les recensa par familles: ils étaient 2 750.
37 These were they that were numbered of the families of the Kohathites, all that might do service in the tabernacle of the congregation, which Moses and Aaron did number according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.	37 Voilà ceux qui furent recensés par famille, chez les Kahatites, tous ceux qui avaient une charge dans la Tente du Rendez-Vous: Moïse et Aaron les recensèrent selon l’ordre que Yahvé avait donné par la voix de Moïse.
38 And those that were numbered of the sons of Gershon, throughout their families, and by the house of their fathers,	38 Ceux qu’on avait recensés parmi les fils de Guerchon, par famille et par clan,
39 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation,	39 de 30 à 50 ans, tous ceux qui avaient une charge dans la Tente du Rendez-Vous,
40 Even those that were numbered of them, throughout their families, by the house of their fathers, were two thousand and six hundred and thirty.	40 étaient au nombre de 2 630.
41 These are they that were numbered of the families of the sons of Gershon, of all that might do service in the tabernacle of the congregation, whom Moses and Aaron did number according to the commandment of the LORD.	41 Voilà ceux que l’on recensa chez les familles Guerchonites, tous ceux qui avaient une charge dans la Tente du Rendez-Vous, Moïse et Aaron les recensèrent sur l’ordre de Yahvé.
42 And those that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, throughout their families, by the house of their fathers,	42 On recensa chez les Mérarites par famille et par clan,
43 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation,	43 à partir de l’âge de 30 ans et au-delà jusqu’à l’âge de 50 ans, tous ceux qui avaient une charge, un service, dans la Tente du Rendez-Vous.
44 Even those that were numbered of them after their families, were three thousand and two hundred.	44 On les recensa par familles: ils étaient 3 200.
45 These be those that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses.	45 Voilà ceux que l’on recensa par famille chez les Mérarites. Moïse et Aaron les recensèrent comme Yahvé l’avait ordonné à Moïse.
46 All those that were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron and the chief of Israel numbered, after their families, and after the house of their fathers,	46 Moïse et Aaron, aidés par les chefs d’Israël, recensèrent chez les Lévites, par familles et par clans,
47 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that came to do the service of the ministry, and the service of the burden in the tabernacle of the congregation,	47 tous ceux qui, âgés de 30 à 50 ans, avaient la charge de transporter la Tente du Rendez-Vous:
48 Even those that were numbered of them, were eight thousand and five hundred and fourscore.	48 ils étaient 8 580.
49 According to the commandment of the LORD they were numbered by the hand of Moses, every one according to his service, and according to his burden: thus were they numbered of him, as the LORD commanded Moses.	49 Sur l’ordre de Yahvé, on recensa chacun selon son service et ce qu’il devait porter. Le recensement est celui que Yahvé avait ordonné à Moïse.
