1 These also are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that the LORD spake with Moses in mount Sinai.	1 Queste sono le generazioni di Aronne e di Mosè, nel giorno in cui il Signore parlò a Mosè sul monte Sinai.
2 And these are the names of the sons of Aaron; Nadab the firstborn, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.	2 Ecco i nomi dei figli d'Aronne: Nadab, suo primogenito, Abiu, Eleazar e Itamar.
3 These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the priests which were anointed, whom he consecrated to minister in the priest's office.	3 Questi sono i nomi dei sacerdoti figli di Aronnè che furono unti ed ebbero le mani ripiene e consacrate per esercitare il sacerdozio;
4 And Nadab and Abihu died before the LORD, when they offered strange fire before the LORD, in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children: and Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priest's office in the sight of Aaron their father.	4 Ma Nadab e Abiu morirono senza figli nel deserto del Sinai, mentre offrivano del fuoco profano nel cospetto del Signore, e quindi esercitarono il sacerdozio, alla presenza di Aronne loro padre, Eleazar e Itamar.
5 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,	5 E il Signore parlò a Mosè, dicendo:
6 Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister unto him.	6 Fa' avvicinare la tribù di Levi e falla comparire dinanzi al sacerdote Aronne, affinchè lo servano, e veglino,
7 And they shall keep his charge, and the charge of the whole congregation before the tabernacle of the congregation, to do the service of the tabernacle.	7 osservino tutto ciò che riguarda il culto del popolo dinanzi al Tabernacolo della testimonianza,
8 And they shall keep all the instruments of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the charge of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle.	8 custodiscano gli arredi del Tabernacolo e ne facciano il servizio.
9 And thou shalt give the Levites unto Aaron and to his sons: they are wholly given unto him out of the children of Israel.	9 Donerai i leviti
10 And thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall wait on their priest's office: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.	10 ad Aronne e ai suoi figli, ai quali sono stati dati dai figli d'Israele, costituirai nelle funzioni del sacerdozio Aronne e i suoi figli: l'estraneo che si accosti per esercitare il ministero sarà messo a morte ».
11 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,	11 Il Signore parlò a Mosè, dicendo:
12 And I, behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of all the firstborn that openeth the matrix among the children of Israel: therefore the Levites shall be mine;	12 « Ho preso i leviti dai figli d'Israele in luogo di ogni primogenito che apre il seno materno tra i figli d'Israele; e i leviti saranno miei,
13 Because all the firstborn are mine; for on the day that I smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I hallowed unto me all the firstborn in Israel, both man and beast: mine shall they be: I am the LORD.	13 perchè ogni primogenito è mio. Dacché percossi i primogeniti nella terra d'Egitto, io mi consacrai tutti i primi nati in Israele, dall'uomo all'animale: sono miei: io sono il Signore ».
14 And the LORD spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying,	14 Il Signore parlò a Mosè nel deserto del Sinai, dicendo:
15 Number the children of Levi after the house of their fathers, by their families: every male from a month old and upward shalt thou number them.	15 « Fa' il censimento dei figli di Levi, tutti i maschi da un mese in su, secondo le case dei loro padri e le loro famiglie ».
16 And Moses numbered them according to the word of the LORD, as he was commanded.	16 Mosè ne fece il censimento, come il Signore aveva comandato.
17 And these were the sons of Levi by their names; Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari.	17 Ecco i figli di Levi trovati secondo il loro nome: Gerson, Caat, Merari.
18 And these are the names of the sons of Gershon by their families; Libni, and Shimei.	18 Figli di Gerson: Lebni e Semei;
19 And the sons of Kohath by their families; Amram, and Izehar, Hebron, and Uzziel.	19 Figli di Caat: Amram e Iesaar, Ebron e Oziel;
20 And the sons of Merari by their families; Mahli, and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to the house of their fathers.	20 Figli di Merari: Moholi e Musi.
21 Of Gershon was the family of the Libnites, and the family of the Shimites: these are the families of the Gershonites.	21 Da Gerson usciron le due famiglie dei Lebniti e dei Semeiti,
22 Those that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, even those that were numbered of them were seven thousand and five hundred.	22 la popolazione delle quali, contata da un mese in su, fu di sette mila cinquecento.
23 The families of the Gershonites shall pitch behind the tabernacle westward.	23 Questi si accamperanno dietro il Tabernacolo, a occidente,
24 And the chief of the house of the father of the Gershonites shall be Eliasaph the son of Lael.	24 sotto il principe Elifaz, figlio di Lael
25 And the charge of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of the congregation shall be the tabernacle, and the tent, the covering thereof, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation,	25 e, nel Tabernacolo dell'alleanza, avran la cura
26 And the hangings of the court, and the curtain for the door of the court, which is by the tabernacle, and by the altar round about, and the cords of it for all the service thereof.	26 del Tabernacolo stesso, della sua copertura, del velo che si tira davanti alla porta del Tabernacolo dell'alleanza, delle cortine dell'atrio, della tenda che si sospende all'ingresso dell'atrio del Tabernacolo, di tutto quel che serve al ministero dell'altare, delle corde del Tabernacolo e di tutti i suoi utensili.
27 And of Kohath was the family of the Amramites, and the family of the Izeharites, and the family of the Hebronites, and the family of the Uzzielites: these are the families of the Kohathites.	27 La discendenza di Caat avrà le famiglie degli Amramiti, dei Gesaariti, degli Ebroniti e degli Ozieliti. Queste son le famiglie dei Caatiti numerate secondo i loro nomi,
28 In the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, were eight thousand and six hundred, keeping the charge of the sanctuary.	28 i maschi da un mese in su sono otto mila seicento: essi avran cura del santuario
29 The families of the sons of Kohath shall pitch on the side of the tabernacle southward.	29 e si accamperanno dalla parte del mezzodì,
30 And the chief of the house of the father of the families of the Kohathites shall be Elizaphan the son of Uzziel.	30 il loro principe sarà Elisafan, figlio di Oziel;
31 And their charge shall be the ark, and the table, and the candlestick, and the altars, and the vessels of the sanctuary wherewith they minister, and the hanging, and all the service thereof.	31 avran cura dell'arca, della tavola, del candelabro, degli altari, dei vasi del santuario che servono al ministero, del velo e di tutti gli altri oggetti di questa specie.
32 And Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be chief over the chief of the Levites, and have the oversight of them that keep the charge of the sanctuary.	32 Il principe dei principi dei leviti, Eleazaro figlio del sacerdote Aronne, sopraintenderà a quelli che han la custodia del santuario.
33 Of Merari was the family of the Mahlites, and the family of the Mushites: these are the families of Merari.	33 Da Merari discendono le famiglie dei Moholiti e dei Musiti, numerati secondo i loro nomi:
34 And those that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, were six thousand and two hundred.	34 « Tutti i maschi da un mese in su sono sei mila duecento:
35 And the chief of the house of the father of the families of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail: these shall pitch on the side of the tabernacle northward.	35 il loro principe è Suriel figlio di Abihaiel; si accamperanno a settentrione
36 And under the custody and charge of the sons of Merari shall be the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and the sockets thereof, and all the vessels thereof, and all that serveth thereto,	36 e saranno affidate a loro le assi del Tabernacolo, le sbarre, le colonne colle loro basi, e tutto ciò che appartiene a tal servizio,
37 And the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords.	37 le colonne dell'atrio d'intorno con le loro basi, i pioli e le funi.
38 But those that encamp before the tabernacle toward the east, even before the tabernacle of the congregation eastward, shall be Moses, and Aaron and his sons, keeping the charge of the sanctuary for the charge of the children of Israel; and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.	38 Mosè e Aronne con i suoi figli si accamperanno dinanzi al Tabernacolo dell'alleanza, ad oriente, e custodiranno il santuario in mezzo ai figli d'Israele: qualunque estraneo vi si accosti sarà messo a morte ».
39 All that were numbered of the Levites, which Moses and Aaron numbered at the commandment of the LORD, throughout their families, all the males from a month old and upward, were twenty and two thousand.	39 Tutti i leviti che Mosè ed Aronne, per comando di Dio, numerarono secondo le loro famiglie, contando i maschi da un mese in su, furono ventiduemila.
40 And the LORD said unto Moses, Number all the firstborn of the males of the children of Israel from a month old and upward, and take the number of their names.	40 E il Signore disse a Mosè: « Conta i primogeniti maschi dei figli d'Israele da un mese in su e fanne la somma,
41 And thou shalt take the Levites for me (I am the LORD) instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel; and the cattle of the Levites instead of all the firstlings among the cattle of the children of Israel.	41 e prendi per me i leviti in luogo di tutti i primogeniti dei figli d'Israele, così pure i loro bestiami invece di tutti i primogeniti dei bestiami dei figli d'Israele. Io sono il Signore ».
42 And Moses numbered, as the LORD commanded him, all the firstborn among the children of Israel.	42 Mosè fece il censimento dei primogeniti dei figli d'Israele, come il Signore aveva ordinato,
43 And all the firstborn males by the number of names, from a month old and upward, of those that were numbered of them, were twenty and two thousand two hundred and threescore and thirteen.	43 e i maschi da un mese in su, numerati secondo i loro nomi, furono ventiduemila duecentosettantatrè.
44 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,	44 Il Signore parlò a Mosè, dicendo:
45 Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; and the Levites shall be mine: I am the LORD.	45 « Prendi i leviti in luogo dei primogeniti dei figli d'Israele, così pure i bestiami dei leviti in luogo del loro bestiamee i leviti saranno miei: Io sono il Signore.
46 And for those that are to be redeemed of the two hundred and threescore and thirteen of the firstborn of the children of Israel, which are more than the Levites;	46 Per il riscatto dei duecentosettantatrè primogeniti dei figli d'Israele che sopravanzano il numero dei leviti,
47 Thou shalt even take five shekels apiece by the poll, after the shekel of the sanctuary shalt thou take them: (the shekel is twenty gerahs:)	47 prenderai cinque sicli per testa,secondo la misura del santuario. Il siclo contiene ventioboli.
48 And thou shalt give the money, wherewith the odd number of them is to be redeemed, unto Aaron and to his sons.	48 Darai tal danaro ad Aronne ed ai suoi figli come prezzo dei primogeniti che sono di più ».
49 And Moses took the redemption money of them that were over and above them that were redeemed by the Levites:	49 E Mose, preso il danaro per quelli che eran di più dei leviti che riscattavano
50 Of the firstborn of the children of Israel took he the money; a thousand three hundred and threescore and five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary:	50 i primogeniti dei figli d'Israele, mille trecentosessantacinque sicli secondo la misura del santuario,
51 And Moses gave the money of them that were redeemed unto Aaron and to his sons, according to the word of the LORD, as the LORD commanded Moses.	51 lo diede ad Aronne e ai suoi figli secondo l'ordine che il Signore gli aveva dato.
