Amos 4

KING JAMES BIBLE	JERUSALEM
1 Hear this word, ye kine of Bashan, that are in the mountain of Samaria, which oppress the poor, which crush the needy, which say to their masters, Bring, and let us drink.	1 Ecoutez cette parole, vaches de Bashân qui êtes sur la montagne de Samarie, qui exploitez les faibles,qui maltraitez les pauvres, qui dites à vos maris: "Apporte et buvons!"
2 The Lord GOD hath sworn by his holiness, that, lo, the days shall come upon you, that he will take you away with hooks, and your posterity with fishhooks.	2 Le Seigneur l'a juré par sa sainteté: voici que des jours viennent sur vous où l'on vous enlèvera avecdes crocs, et jusqu'aux dernières, avec des harpons de pêche;
3 And ye shall go out at the breaches, every cow at that which is before her; and ye shall cast them into the palace, saith the LORD.	3 vous sortirez par des brèches, chacune droit devant soi, et vous serez repoussées vers l'Hermon, oraclede Yahvé.
4 Come to Bethel, and transgress; at Gilgal multiply transgression; and bring your sacrifices every morning, and your tithes after three years:	4 Allez à Béthel et péchez! A Gilgal, péchez de plus belle! Apportez le matin vos sacrifices, tous lestrois jours vos dîmes;
5 And offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving with leaven, and proclaim and publish the free offerings: for this liketh you, O ye children of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.	5 faites brûler du levain en sacrifice de louange, criez vos offrandes volontaires, annoncez-les, puisquec'est cela que vous aimez, enfants d'Israël! Oracle du Seigneur Yahvé.
6 And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.	6 Aussi, moi je vous ai fait les dents nettes en toutes vos villes, je vous ai privés de pain dans tous vosvillages; et vous n'êtes pas revenus à moi! Oracle de Yahvé.
7 And also I have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.	7 Aussi, moi je vous ai refusé la pluie, juste trois mois avant la moisson; j'ai fait pleuvoir sur une villeet sur une autre ville je ne faisais pas pleuvoir; un champ recevait de la pluie, et un champ, faute de pluie, sedesséchait;
8 So two or three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.	8 deux, trois villes allaient en titubant vers une autre pour boire de l'eau sans pouvoir se désaltérer; etvous n'êtes pas revenus à moi! Oracle de Yahvé.
9 I have smitten you with blasting and mildew: when your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees increased, the palmerworm devoured them: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.	9 Je vous ai frappés par la rouille et la nielle, j'ai desséché vos jardins et vos vignes; vos figuiers et vosoliviers, la sauterelle les a dévorés; et vous n'êtes par revenus à moi! Oracle de Yahvé.
10 I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away your horses; and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.	10 J'ai envoyé parmi vous une peste, comme la peste d'Egypte; j'ai tué vos jeunes gens par l'épée, tandisque vos chevaux étaient capturés; j'ai fait monter à vos narines la puanteur de vos camps; et vous n'êtes pasrevenus à moi! Oracle de Yahvé.
11 I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.	11 Je vous ai bouleversés comme Dieu bouleversa Sodome et Gomorrhe, et vous avez été comme untison sauvé de l'incendie; et vous n'êtes pas revenus à moi! Oracle de Yahvé.
12 Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.	12 C'est pourquoi, voici comment je vais te traiter, Israël! Parce que je vais te traiter ainsi, prépare-toi àrencontrer ton Dieu, Israël!
13 For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, is his name.	13 Car c'est lui qui forme les montagnes et qui crée le vent, qui révèle à l'homme ses pensées, quichange l'aurore en ténèbres, et qui marche sur les hauteurs de la terre: Yahvé, Dieu Sabaot, est son nom.
