1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.	1 - Ma in quel tempo sorgerà Michele, il principe grande che sta alla difesa dei figli del tuo popolo, e verrà un tempo quale mai non fu dacchè cominciarono le genti ad esistere fino allora. E in quel tempo, sarà salvato il tuo popolo, chiunque sarà trovato scritto nel libro.
2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.	2 E quei molti che riposano nella polvere della terra si risveglieranno, altri per la vita eterna e altri per la confusione che sempre vedranno con sè.
3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.	3 Coloro che saranno stati saggi rifulgeranno come il fulgore del firmamento e quelli che istruiscono molti alla giustizia, saranno come astri nell'eternità senza fine.
4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.	4 Or tu, o Daniele, chiudi le parole e suggella il libro fino al tempo determinato; molti lo scorreranno e la scienza avrà accrescimento. -
5 Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.	5 Frattanto, io, Daniele, ecco che, vidi comparire fermi altri due, uno di qua, sulla riva del fiume, e l'altro sull'opposta sponda.
6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?	6 E dissi all'uomo, vestito di lino che stava presso le acque del fiume: - Quando sarà il termine fisso di queste cose portentose? -
7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.	7 E udii l'uomo vestito di lino che stava presso le acque del fiume, il quale alzata la destra e la sinistra mano verso il cielo, e avendo giurato per colui che vive in eterno, disse: - In un tempo, in più tempi e in metà d'un tempo. E quando sarà compiuta la dispersione della potestà del popolo santo, si compiranno tutte queste cose. -
8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?	8 Io udii ma non compresi. E dissi: - Signore, che sarà dopo queste cose? -
9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.	9 Mi disse: - Vai pure, Daniele, perchè restano chiuse e suggellate le parole fino al tempo determinato.
10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.	10 Molti saranno eletti, purificati, e quasi raffinati al fuoco, e gli empi agiranno da tempi, e tutti gli empi non comprenderanno ma i saggi comprenderanno.
11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.	11 E dal tempo in cui sarà abolito il sacrificio perenne e sarà collocata l'abominazione della desolazione passeranno milleduecentonovanta giorni,
12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.	12 Beato chi aspetta e giunge fino a milletrecentotrentacinque giorni!
13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.	13 E tu va' al termine segnato e abbi riposo e restatene alla sorte che ti aspetta per la fine dei giorni -». Questi due capitoli sono apocrifi
