1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.	1 “En ce temps-là se lèvera Michel, le grand prince, celui qui défend les enfants de ton peuple; car ce sera un temps de détresse comme il n’y en a pas eu depuis qu’il existe des peuples jusqu’à ce jour. En ce temps-là sera sauvé ton peuple, tous ceux qui sont inscrits dans le Livre.
2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.	2 Beaucoup de ceux qui dorment au pays de la poussière se réveilleront, les uns pour la vie éternelle, les autres pour la honte et l’horreur éternelle.
3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.	3 “Ceux qui ont la connaissance brilleront comme un ciel resplendissant, ceux qui auront conduit les autres à la justice brilleront comme les étoiles pour les siècles des siècles.
4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.	4 Toi, Daniel, garde secrètes ces paroles, qu’elles soient comme un livre scellé jusqu’au temps de la fin; beaucoup chercheront ici et là et l’injustice ira en grandissant.”
5 Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.	5 Comme je levais les yeux, moi Daniel, je vis deux autres hommes qui se tenaient sur l’une et l’autre rive du fleuve.
6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?	6 L’un des deux dit à l’homme vêtu de lin qui était au-dessus des eaux du fleuve: “Quand s’accompliront ces choses prodigieuses?”
7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.	7 L’homme vêtu de lin qui était au-dessus des eaux du fleuve leva alors ses deux mains vers le ciel et je l’entendis qui faisait ce serment par celui qui vit éternellement: “Tout se réalisera dans un temps, des temps et un demi-temps. C’est lorsque le peuple saint sera complètement écrasé et sans force, que toutes ces choses s’accompliront.”
8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?	8 J’entendais, mais je ne comprenais pas. Je posai donc cette question: “Mon Seigneur, comment sera la fin des choses?”
9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.	9 Il me répondit: “Va, Daniel, ces choses resteront secrètes et cachées jusqu’au temps de la fin.
10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.	10 Beaucoup seront purifiés, blanchis et mis à l’épreuve, les méchants feront le mal et aucun d’eux ne saura, mais ceux qui ont la connaissance comprendront.
11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.	11 Depuis le jour où l’on supprimera le sacrifice perpétuel et où sera dressée l’Abomination de la Désolation, il s’écoulera 1 290 jours.
12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.	12 Heureux celui qui tiendra et arrivera à 1 335 jours.
13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.	13 Quant à toi, Daniel, va jusqu’au bout de ton chemin; tu te reposeras, et puis tu te lèveras à la fin des jours pour recevoir ta part.”
