1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.	1 E in quel tempo sorgerà Michele principe grande, il quale sta a guardia del popol tuo; perocché verrà un tempo, quàl mai non fu, dacché cominciarono ad esistere delle nazioni fino a quell'ora. E allora sarà salvato il popol tuo, tutto quello, che sarà trovato scritto nel libro.
2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.	2 E la moltitudine di que', che dormono nella polvere della terra, si risveglieranno, altri per la vita eterna, ed altri per l'ignominia, la quale si vedranno sempre davanti.
3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.	3 E quegli, che hanno la scienza, rifulgeranno come la luce del firmamento; e quegli, che insegnano a molti la giustizia, come stelle per le intiere eternità.
4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.	4 Ma tu, o Daniele, chiudi queste parole, e sigilla il libro fino al tempo determinato: moltissimi lo scorreranno, e ne trarranno molta dottrina.
5 Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.	5 Ed io Daniele osservai, e vidi come due altri stavano, uno da una parte sulla riva del fiume, e un altro dall'altra parte sull'altra riva del fiume.
6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?	6 E dissi a quell'uomo, che era vestito di vesti di lino, il quale si stava sulle acque del fiume: E quando avran fine queste cose portentose?
7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.	7 E udii colui, che era vestito di vesti di lino, che stava sulle acque del fiume, che alzata la destra, e la sinistra sua mano verso del cielo, giurò per colui, che vive in eterno, e disse: In un tempo, e in (due) tempi, e nella metà di un tempo. E quando la dispersione della moltitudine del popol santo sarà compiuta, tutte queste cose saranno ridotte ad effetto.
8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?	8 Ed io udii, ma non capii. E dissi: Signor mio, dopo queste cose, che sarà egli?
9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.	9 Ed ei disse: Va, o Daniele: perocché queste sono parole chiuse, e sigillate per sino al tempo determinato.
10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.	10 Molti saranno eletti, e imbiancati, e purgati quasi col fuoco: egli empj opereranno empiamente: e nissuno degli empj capirà, ma gli scienziati capiranno.
11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.	11 E dal tempo, in cui sarà tolto il sacrifizio perenne, e sarà innalzata l'abbominazione della desolazione, saranno mille dugento novanta giorni.
12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.	12 Beato chi aspetta, e giunge fino ai mille trecento trenta cinque giorni.
13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.	13 Ma tu va fino al tuo termine: ed avrai requie, e goderai di tua sorte sino alla fine de' giorni.
