1 And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I sat in mine house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord GOD fell there upon me.	1 Et il arriva dans la sixième année, le cinquième jour du sixième mois, comme j'étais assis dans ma maison et que les anciens de Juda étaient assis devant moi, que la main du Seigneur Dieu tomba sur moi.
2 Then I beheld, and lo a likeness as the appearance of fire: from the appearance of his loins even downward, fire; and from his loins even upward, as the appearance of brightness, as the colour of amber.	2 Et j'eus une vision: c'était comme l'aspect d'un feu; depuis les reins jusqu'en bas c'était du feu, et depuis les reins jusqu'en haut c'était comme une vive lumière, comme un brillant métal.
3 And he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy.	3 La ressemblance d'une main étendue me saisit par les cheveux de ma tête; et l'Esprit m'éleva entre la terre et le ciel, et m'amena à Jérusalem dans une vision divine, près de la porte intérieure qui regardait vers l'aquilon, où était placée l'idole de jalousie, pour exciter la jalousie.
4 And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the vision that I saw in the plain.	4 Et voici que la gloire du Dieu d'Israël était là, selon la vision que j'avais eue dans la plaine.
5 Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry.	5 Et Il me dit: Fils de l'homme, lève les yeux du côté de l'aquilon. Et je levai les yeux du côté de l'aquilon, et voici qu'au nord de la porte de l'autel, à l'entrée, se trouvait cette idole de jalousie.
6 He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations.	6 Et Il me dit: Fils de l'homme, vois-tu ce qu'ils font, les grandes abominations que la maison d'Israël fait ici, pour que Je M'éloigne de Mon sanctuaire? Mais, en te retournant, tu verras des abominations encore plus grandes.
7 And he brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall.	7 Alors Il me conduisit à l'entrée du parvis, et je regardai, et voici qu'il y avait un trou dans la muraille.
8 Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door.	8 Et Il me dit: Fils de l'homme, perce le mur. Et lorsque j'eus percé le mur, une porte apparut.
9 And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here.	9 Et Il me dit: Entre, et vois les affreuses abominations qu'ils font ici.
10 So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about.	10 J'entrai, et je regardai, et voici que des images de toutes sortes de reptiles et d'animaux, l'abomination et toutes les idoles de la maison d'Israël étaient peintes sur la muraille tout autour;
11 And there stood before them seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel, and in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, with every man his censer in his hand; and a thick cloud of incense went up.	11 et soixante-dix des anciens de la maison d'Israël étaient debout devant ces peintures; et Jézonias, fils de Saphan, se tenait au milieu d'eux; et chacun avait un encensoir à la main, et un épais nuage s'élevait de l'encens.
12 Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, The LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken the earth.	12 Et Il me dit: Tu vois certainement, fils de l'homme, ce que les anciens de la maison d'Israël font dans les ténèbres, chacun dans le secret de sa chambre; car ils disent: Le Seigneur ne nous voit pas; le Seigneur a abandonné le pays.
13 He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do.	13 Et Il me dit: Si tu te retournes, tu verras des abominations encore plus grandes, qu'ils commettent.
14 Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD's house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.	14 Et Il me conduisit à l'entrée de la porte de la maison du Seigneur qui regardait vers l'aquilon, et voici, il y avait là des femmes assises, qui pleuraient Adonis.
15 Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these.	15 Et Il me dit: Tu as certainement vu, fils de l'homme, et si tu te retournes, tu verras des abominations encore plus grandes que celles-là.
16 And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD's house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.	16 Et Il me conduisit dans les parvis intérieur de la maison du Seigneur, et voici qu'à l'entrée du temple du Seigneur, entre le vestibule et l'autel, il y avait environ vingt-cinq hommes qui tournaient le dos au temple du Seigneur, et dont le visage regardait l'orient, et ils adoraient le soleil levant.
17 Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose.	17 Et Il me dit: Tu as certainement vu, fils de l'homme; est-ce peu, pour la maison de Juda, d'avoir fait les abominations qu'ils ont faites en ce lieu, d'avoir rempli le pays d'iniquité, et d'avoir entrepris de M'irriter? Et voici qu'ils approchent de leurs narines un rameau.
18 Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.	18 Moi aussi J'agirai donc avec fureur: Mon oeil n'épargnera pas, et Je serai sans compassion, et lorsqu'ils crieront à haute voix à Mes oreilles, Je ne les écouterai pas.
