1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,	1 Il Signore parlommi, dicendo:
2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,	2 Figliuolo dell'uomo, volgi la tua faccia verso Gog, verso la terra di Magog, verso il principe, e capo di Mosoch, e di Thubal, e profetizza in torno ad essi,
3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:	3 E dirai a lui: Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: Eccomi a te, o Gog principe, e capo di Mosoch, e di Thu
4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:	4 Io ti aggirerò, e imbriglierò le tue mascelle, e menerò fuori te, e il tuo esercito, i cavalli, e i cavalieri coperti tutti di corazze, turba grande, che darà di piglio all'asta, allo scudo, e alla spada.
5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:	5 Con essi saranno i Persiani, e gli Etiopi, e que' della Libia, tutti provveduti di scudo, e di cimiero.
6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.	6 Gomer, e tutte le sue schiere, la casa di Thogorma, e le genti settentrionali, e tutte le loro forze, e molti altri popoli teco.
7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.	7 Preparati, e mettiti in ordine con tutta la tua moltitudine affollata intorno a te, e dà loro i tuoi ordini.
8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.	8 Dopo molti giorni tu sarai visitato: nel fine degli anni tu anderai in una terra, che fu liberata dalla spada, ed è stata radunata da molte genti ai monti d'Israele, che furon sempre deserti: ella fu tratta da molti popoli, e vi si abita tranquillamente.
9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.	9 Tu vi anderai, e vi entrerai come una tempesta, e come una nube per ingombrare la terra, tu, e tutte le tue schiere, e i molti popoli, che son teco.
10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:	10 Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: In quel giorno tu la discorrerai in cuor tuo, e coverai pessimi consigli;
11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,	11 E dirai: Io m'incamminerò verso una terra smantellata: anderò contro gente, che dorme, e vive senza sospetto: tutti costoro abitano in luoghi non murati, non hanno serrature, né porte:
12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.	12 Cosi tu rapirai le spoglie, e t'impadronirai della preda, e metterai le mani addosso a coloro, i quali erano stati dispersi, e poi furono richiamati, e ad un popolo raunato di mezzo alle genti, il quale cominciò a possedere, e ad abitare l'umbilico della terra.
13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?	13 Saba, e Dedan, e i mercatanti di Tarso, e tutti i suoi principi ti diranno: Vieni tu a far acquisto di spoglie? Certo che tu la tua molta gente hai radunata, per far gran preda, per portar via l'argento, e l'oro, e le suppellettili, e le cose preziose, e portar via ricchezze infinite.
14 Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?	14 Per questo profetizza, o figliuolo dell'uomo, e dirai a Gog: Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: In quel giorno, quando il popolo mio d'Israele se ne starà quieto, e sicuro, non te ne avvedrai tu allora?
15 And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:	15 E ti partirai dal tuo paese dalle parti settentrionali, tu, e molti popoli teco, tutti i soldati a cavallo turba grande, esercito possente.
16 And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.	16 E anderai contro al mio popolo Israele come nuvola, che ingombri la terra: Tu sarai alla fine dei giorni, e io ti condurrò nella mia terra, affinchè mi conoscano le genti, quand' io farò spiccar in te la mia gloria sugli occhi di esse, o Gog.
17 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?	17 Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: Tu se' adunque colui, di cui io ho parlato ne' giorni antichi per mezzo de' servi miei, i profeti d'Israele, i quali in que' tempi profetizzarono, com' io ti avrei fatto venir contro di loro.
18 And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face.	18 E in quel giorno, nel di dell'arrivo di Gog nella terra d'Israele, dice il Signore Dio, scoppierà l'indegnazione mia, e il mio furore.
19 For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;	19 E nel mio zelo, nel calor del mio sdegno io parlerò: Grande sarà in quel dì la commozione nella terra d'Israele:
20 So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.	20 E dinanzi a me saranno in agitazione i pesci del mare, e gli uccelli dell'aria, e le bestie de' campi, e tutti i rettili, che si muovono sulla terra, e tutti gli uomini, che abitano la superficie della terra: e i monti saran rovesciati, e caderanno i baluardi, e tutte le mura precipiteranno per terra.
21 And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man's sword shall be against his brother.	21 E chiamerò contro di lui su tutti i miei monti la spada, dice il Signore Dio: dirizzerà ognuno la spada contro il proprio fratello.
22 And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.	22 E lo punirò colla pestilenza, e colla strage, e con pioggia furiosa, e con pietre sterminate: pioverò sopra di lui, e sopra del suo esercito, e sopra i molti popoli, che son con lui fuoco, e zolfo.
23 Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.	23 E farò conoscere la mia grandezza, e la mia santità: e mi farò conoscere da molte nazioni, e sapranno, ch'io son il Signore.
