Ezekiel 38

KING JAMES BIBLE	JERUSALEM
1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,	1 La parole de Yahvé me fut adressée en ces termes:
2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,	2 Fils d'homme, tourne-toi vers Gog, au pays de Magog, prince, chef de Méshek et de Tubal, etprophétise contre lui.
3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:	3 Tu diras: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé. Je me déclare contre toi, Gog, prince, chef de Méshek etde Tubal.
4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:	4 Je te ferai faire demi-tour, je mettrai des crocs à tes mâchoires et je te ferai sortir avec toute tonarmée, chevaux et cavaliers, tous parfaitement équipés, troupe nombreuse, tous portant écus et boucliers etsachant manier l'épée.
5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:	5 La Perse, Kush et Put sont avec eux, tous avec le bouclier et le casque.
6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.	6 Gomer et toutes ses troupes, Bet-Togarma, à l'extrême nord, et toutes ses troupes, des peuplesinnombrables sont avec toi.
7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.	7 Sois prêt, prépare-toi bien, toi et toutes tes troupes ainsi que ceux qui se sont groupés autour detoi, et mets-toi à mon service.
8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.	8 Après bien des jours, tu recevras des ordres. Après bien des années, tu viendras vers le pays dontles habitants ont échappé à l'épée et ont été rassemblés, parmi une multitude de peuples, sur les montagnesd'Israël qui furent longtemps une ruine. Depuis qu'ils ont été séparés des autres peuples, ils habitent tous ensécurité.
9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.	9 Tu monteras, tu avanceras comme une tempête, tu seras comme une nuée qui couvrira le pays, toi,toutes tes troupes et des peuples nombreux avec toi.
10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:	10 Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé: Ce jour-là, des pensées naîtront dans ton coeur et tu formeras demauvais desseins.
11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,	11 Tu diras: "je vais monter contre un pays sans défense, marcher contre des hommes tranquilles,qui habitent en sécurité. Ils habitent tous des villes sans remparts, ils n'ont ni verrous ni portes."
12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.	12 Tu iras piller et faire du butin, porter la main contre des ruines habitées et contre un peuplerassemblé d'entre les nations, adonné à l'élevage et au commerce, qui habite sur le nombril de la terre.
13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?	13 Sheba, Dedân, les trafiquants de Tarsis et tous ses jeunes lions te diront: "Est-ce pour piller quetu es venu? Est-ce pour faire du butin que tu as réuni tes troupes? Est-ce pour enlever l'or et l'argent, pour saisirtroupeaux et marchandises, pour emporter un immense butin?"
14 Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?	14 C'est pourquoi, prophétise, fils d'homme. Tu diras à Gog: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé. N'est-ilpas vrai que ce jour-là, quand mon peuple Israël habitera en sécurité, tu te mettras en route?
15 And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:	15 Tu quitteras ta résidence à l'extrême nord, toi et des peuples nombreux avec toi, tous montés surdes chevaux, troupe énorme, armée innombrable.
16 And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.	16 Tu monteras contre Israël mon peuple, tu seras comme une nuée qui recouvre la terre. Ce sera àla fin des jours que je t'amènerai contre mon pays, pour que les nations me connaissent, quand je manifesterai masainteté à leurs yeux, par ton intermédiaire, Gog.
17 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?	17 Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé: C'est toi dont j'ai parlé au temps jadis, par mes serviteurs lesprophètes d'Israël qui ont prophétisé en ce temps là, annonçant ta venue contre eux.
18 And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face.	18 En ce jour-là, au jour où Gog s'avancera contre le territoire d'Israël - oracle du Seigneur Yahvé -mon courroux montera. Dans ma colère,
19 For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;	19 dans ma jalousie, dans l'ardeur de ma fureur, je le dis: ce jour-là, je le jure, il y aura un grandtumulte sur le territoire d'Israël.
20 So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.	20 Alors trembleront devant moi les poissons de la mer et les oiseaux du ciel, les bêtes sauvages,tous les reptiles qui rampent sur le sol et tous les hommes qui sont sur la surface du sol. Les montagness'écrouleront, les parois des rochers trembleront, toutes les murailles tomberont par terre.
21 And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man's sword shall be against his brother.	21 J'appellerai contre lui toute sorte d'épée, oracle du Seigneur Yahvé, et ils tourneront l'épée l'uncontre l'autre.
22 And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.	22 Je le châtierai par la peste et le sang, je ferai tomber la pluie torrentielle, des grêlons, du feu et dusoufre, sur lui, sur ses troupes et sur les peuples nombreux qui sont avec lui.
23 Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.	23 Je manifesterai ma grandeur et ma sainteté, je me ferai connaître aux yeux des nationsnombreuses, et ils sauront que je suis Yahvé.
