Jeremiah 33

1 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the prison, saying,	1 - E il Signore comunicò una seconda volta la sua parola a Geremia mentre stava ancora chiuso nel cortile del carcere dicendogli:
2 Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name;	2 «Questo dice il Signore, colui che sta per effettuarlo, eseguirlo e compierlo, il cui nome è il Signore.
3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.	3 Chiamami ed io ti esaudirò e ti manifesterò le cose grandi e irremovibili che tu non conosci.
4 For thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are thrown down by the mounts, and by the sword;	4 Perchè, così dice il Signore Dio di Israele alle case di questa città e alle case del re di Giuda che sono demolite, e agli ordigni e alla spada
5 They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but it is fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in mine anger and in my fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city.	5 di coloro che vengono per combattere coi Caldei e per riempirle di cadaveri umani ch'io ho colpiti nel mio furore e nella mia indignazione, col nascondere la mia faccia a questa città per tutta la loro malvagità.
6 Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.	6 Ecco che io prenderò cura delle sue ferite e della sua guarigione e li guarirò e farò loro manifesta la impetrazione della pace e il suo avveramento.
7 And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.	7 E ritornerò la schiavitù di Giuda e la schiavitù di Gerusalemme alla libertà, e li ristabilirò come da principio.
8 And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.	8 E li monderò da ogni iniquità da loro commessa contro di me, e farò remissione di tutte le loro colpe colle quali mi avevano offeso e disprezzato.
9 And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.	9 E ciò sarà per me rinomanza e godimento e lode ed esultanza in tutte le genti della terra che avranno udito tutto il bene che io sono per fare a loro, e resteranno sorpresi e sbalorditi per tutto il bene e per tutta la pace che a loro concederò.
10 Thus saith the LORD; Again there shall be heard in this place, which ye say shall be desolate without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast,	10 Così dice il Signore: - Si udiranno ancora in questo luogo, che voi dite essere deserto, perchè non vi sono più nè uomini nè animali; nelle città di Giuda, fuori di Gerusalemme, che sono in desolazione senza uomini, senza abitanti, senza bestiami; si udiranno ancora
11 The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD.	11 voci giulive, voci festose, voci di sposi e di spose, voci di genti che dicono: "Lodate il Signore degli eserciti, perchè il Signore è buono, perchè in eterno è la sua misericordia!", e che recano i loro voti nella casa del Signore; perchè ritornerò la schiavitù di questa terra alla libertà primiera - dice il Signore.
12 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be an habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.	12 Così dice il Signore degli eserciti: - Vi saranno ancora in questo luogo deserto, privo di uomini e di animali, e per tutte le sue città una dimora per i pastori ove faranno sdraiare i greggi.
13 In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the vale, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that telleth them, saith the LORD.	13 Nelle città della montagna, nelle città della pianura, nelle città che sono nel mezzogiorno e nella terra di Beniamino e nei dintorni di Gerusalemme e nelle città di Giuda passeranno ancora le greggi sotto la mano di colui che le conta, dice il Signore.
14 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.	14 Ecco che i giorni vengono, dice il Signore, e adempirò la parola buona che ho detto alla casa d'Israele e alla casa di Giuda.
15 In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.	15 In quei giorni e in quel tempo farò germogliare a David un germe di giustizia e metterà in vigore il giudizio e la giustizia sulla terra.
16 In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness.	16 In quei giorni Giuda sarà salvato e Gerusalemme abiterà in tutta sicurezza e questo sarà il nome con cui lo chiameranno: "Il Signore giusto nostro". -
17 For thus saith the LORD; David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;	17 Perchè così dice il Signore: - Non verrà a mancare, dalla stirpe di David, uomo che segga sul trono della casa di Israele,
18 Neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to kindle meat offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.	18 e dalla stirpe dei sacerdoti e dei leviti non verranno a mancare uomini nel mio cospetto che offrano olocausti e ardano sacrifizi e scannino vittime tutti i giorni -».
19 And the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, saying,	19 E il Signore comunicò la sua parola a Geremia dicendo:
20 Thus saith the LORD; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season;	20 «Così dice il Signore: - Se potrà andar fallito il patto mio col giorno e il patto mio colla notte in guisa che a suo tempo non sia più giorno, non più notte a suo tempo,
21 Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.	21 potrà andar anche fallito il patto mio con David mio servo in guisa che non sia da lui più figlio che regni sul suo trono, non più leviti, non sacerdoti ministri miei.
22 As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.	22 Come le stelle del cielo che non si possono numerare e le arene del mare che non si possono calcolare, così moltiplicherò in numero il seme di David mio servo e i leviti miei ministri -».
23 Moreover the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,	23 E il Signore comunicò la sua parola a Geremia dicendogli:
24 Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD hath chosen, he hath even cast them off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.	24 «Hai visto questo popolo che cosa è andato a dire? - Le due famiglie, dice, che il Signore aveva elette sono state rigettate! - Hanno deprezzato il popolo mio al punto che non merita più, a loro avviso, l'onor di nazione.
25 Thus saith the LORD; If my covenant be not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;	25 Ebbene, così dice il Signore: - Se il patto col giorno e colla notte, se le leggi al cielo e alla terra io non ho fissate,
26 Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob, and David my servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.	26 allora anche il seme di Giacobbe e di David mio servo rigetterò senza prendere dalla sua discendenza principi del seme di Abramo, Isacco e Giacobbe; poichè ritornerò la loro schiavitù in libertà e avrò pietà di essi -».
