Jeremiah 33

1 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the prison, saying,	1 La palabra del Señor llegó a Jeremías por segunda vez, mientras todavía estaba detenido en el patio de la guardia, en estos términos:
2 Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name;	2 Así habla el Señor que hizo la tierra y la formó para que subsistiera –¡su nombre es el Señor!–:
3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.	3 Invócame y yo te responderé, y te anunciaré cosas grandes e impenetrables, que tú no conocías.
4 For thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are thrown down by the mounts, and by the sword;	4 Porque así habla el Señor, el Dios de Israel, acerca de las casas de esta ciudad y de las casas de los reyes de Judá, derribadas para levantar terraplenes y empalizadas,
5 They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but it is fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in mine anger and in my fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city.	5 a fin de combatir a los caldeos y llenar la ciudad con los cadáveres de los hombres que yo herí en mi ira y en mi furor, porque oculté mi rostro a esta ciudad a causa de todas sus maldades:
6 Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.	6 Yo voy a cicatrizar su llaga y la voy a sanar; los sanaré y les descubriré tesoros de paz y seguridad.
7 And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.	7 Cambiaré la suerte de Judá y la suerte de Israel, y los reconstruiré como al principio.
8 And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.	8 Los purificaré de toda la iniquidad con que pecaron contra mí, les perdonaré todas las iniquidades con que pecaron y se rebelaron contra mí.
9 And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.	9 Jerusalén será para mí un nombre gozoso, un honor y una gloria, entre todas las naciones de la tierra, que oirán todo el bien que yo les hago: ellas temerán y temblarán por todo el bienestar y toda la paz que les concedo.
10 Thus saith the LORD; Again there shall be heard in this place, which ye say shall be desolate without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast,	10 Así habla el Señor: En este lugar del que ustedes dicen: «Está desierto, sin hombres ni animales», en las ciudades de Judá y en las calles de Jerusalén, que están devastadas, sin hombres ni habitantes ni animales, se oirá de nuevo
11 The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD.	11 el grito de alegría y el grito de júbilo, el canto del esposo y el canto de la esposa, y el canto de los que dicen, mientras presentan el sacrificio de alabanza en la Casa del Señor: «Den gracias al Señor de los ejércitos, porque es bueno el Señor, porque es eterno su amor». Sí, yo cambiaré la suerte de este país, y será como al principio, dice el Señor.
12 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be an habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.	12 Así habla el Señor de los ejércitos: En este lugar que está desierto, sin hombres ni animales, y en todas sus ciudades, habrá de nuevo un redil donde los pastores harán descansar a sus rebaños.
13 In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the vale, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that telleth them, saith the LORD.	13 En todas las ciudades de la Montaña, en las ciudades de la Sefelá, en las ciudades del Négueb, en el país de Benjamín, en los alrededores de Jerusalén y en las ciudades de Judá, las ovejas pasarán de nuevo bajo las manos del que las recuenta, dice el Señor.
14 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.	14 Llegarán los días –oráculo del Señor– en que yo cumpliré la promesa que pronuncié acerca de la casa de Israel y la casa de Judá:
15 In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.	15 En aquellos días y en aquel tiempo, haré brotar para David un germen justo, y él practicará la justicia y el derecho en el país.
16 In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness.	16 En aquellos días, estará a salvo Judá y Jerusalén habitará segura. Y la llamarán así: «El Señor es nuestra justicia».
17 For thus saith the LORD; David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;	17 Porque así habla el Señor: Nunca le faltará a David un sucesor que se siente en el trono de la casa de Israel.
18 Neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to kindle meat offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.	18 Y a los sacerdotes levitas nunca les faltará un descendiente que esté delante de mi para ofrecer el holocausto, hacer quemar la oblación y presentar el sacrificio cada día.
19 And the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, saying,	19 La palabra del Señor llegó a Jeremías en estos términos:
20 Thus saith the LORD; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season;	20 Así habla el Señor: Si ustedes pueden romper mi alianza con el día y mi alianza con la noche, de manera que el día y la noche no aparezcan más a su tiempo,
21 Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.	21 entonces también se romperá mi alianza con mi servidor David, de manera que no tenga más un hijo que reine sobre su trono, y mi alianza con los sacerdotes levitas, mis ministros.
22 As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.	22 Así como no se puede contar el ejército del cielo, ni medir la arena del mar, así multiplicaré la descendencia de David, mi servidor, y a los levitas, que son mis ministros.
23 Moreover the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,	23 La palabra del Señor llegó a Jeremías en estos términos:
24 Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD hath chosen, he hath even cast them off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.	24 ¿No ves lo que dice esta gente: «A las dos familias que había elegido, el Señor las ha rechazado»? Así desprecian a mi pueblo, y ya no lo consideran una nación.
25 Thus saith the LORD; If my covenant be not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;	25 Así habla el Señor: Si yo no establecí mi alianza con el día y con la noche, si no fijé el ordenamiento del cielo y de la tierra,
26 Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob, and David my servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.	26 entonces también rechazaré a la descendencia de Jacob y de David, mi servidor, no tomando de ella jefes para el linaje de Abraham, de Isaac y de Jacob. Pero no, yo cambiaré su suerte y me compadeceré de ellos.
