Isaiah 61

1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;	1 Lo Spirito del Signore sopra di me, perchè il Signore mi ha unto, affinchè io annunziassi a' mansueti la buona novella: mi ha mandato a curare quelli, che hanno il cuore spezzato, a predicare la franchigia agli schiavi, e a' carcerati la libertà;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;	2 A predicare l'anno accettevole del Signore, e il giorno di vendetta pel nostro Dio; perchè io consolassi tutti quegli, che piangono;
3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.	3 Affinchè io rendessi ai piagnenti di Sion, affinchè io dessi loro corona in luogo della cenere, olio di letizia invece delle lagrime, il manto di gloria in cambio dello spirito di tristezza, e gli abitatori di lei saran chiamati forti nella giustizia, piantazione del Signore, ond'ei sia glorificato.
4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.	4 Ed eglino riedificheranno i luoghi da lungo tempo deserti, e le antiche rovine faran risorgere, e ristoreranno le città devastate, e rimase sole per generazioni, e generazioni.
5 And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.	5 E saran pronti gli stranieri, e pascoleranno le vostre gregge: e i figli de' forestieri saranno vostri lavoratori, e vignaiuoli.
6 But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.	6 E voi sarete chiamati sacerdoti del Signore: a voi sarà dato il nome di Ministri del nostro Dio: voi sarete alimentati colle ricchezze delle genti, e della gloria di queste sarete gloriosi.
7 For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.	7 Per la doppia confusione, e vergogna vostra renderete grazie della porzione toccata a voi: per questo nella lor terra avran parte doppia, sempiterna sarà la loro allegrezza;
8 For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.	8 Perocché io il Signore, che amo la rettitudine, e odio la rapina conversa in olocausto: ed io farò, che le opere loro siano nella verità, e con essi stabilirò eterna alleanza.
9 And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed.	9 E sarà conosciuta tralle genti la loro semenza, e la loro stirpe in mezzo ai popoli; tutti quei, che li vedranno, li riconosceranno per esser essi quel seme, cui diè benedizione il Signore.
10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.	10 Grandemente mi rallegrerò io nel Signore, e l'anima mia esulterà nel mio Dio; perchè egli mi ha rivestita della veste di salute; e del manto di giustizia mi ha addobbata, come sposo adorno di corona, e come sposa abbellita delle sue gioie;
11 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.	11 Imperocché siccome la terra butta i suoi germogli, e come un giardino la semenza in esso gettata, così il Signore Dio germinar farà la giustizia, e la sua laude nel cospetto di tutte le genti.
