Isaiah 61

KING JAMES BIBLE	JERUSALEM
1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;	1 L'esprit du Seigneur Yahvé est sur moi, car Yahvé m'a donné l'onction; il m'a envoyé porter lanouvelle aux pauvres, panser les coeurs meurtris, annoncer aux captifs la libération et aux prisonniers ladélivrance,
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;	2 proclamer une année de grâce de la part de Yahvé et un jour de vengeance pour notre Dieu, pourconsoler tous les affligés,
3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.	3 (pour mettre aux affligés de Sion) pour leur donner un diadème au lieu de cendre, de l'huile de joie aulieu d'un vêtement de deuil, un manteau de fête au lieu d'un esprit abattu; et on les appellera térébinthes dejustice, plantation de Yahvé pour se glorifier.
4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.	4 Ils rebâtiront les ruines antiques, ils relèveront les restes désolés d'autrefois; ils restaureront les villesen ruines, les restes désolés des générations passées.
5 And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.	5 Des étrangers se présenteront pour paître vos troupeaux, des immigrants seront vos laboureurs et vosvignerons.
6 But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.	6 Mais vous, vous serez appelés prêtres de Yahvé, on vous nommera ministres de notre Dieu. Vousvous nourrirez des richesses des nations, vous leur succéderez dans leur gloire.
7 For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.	7 Au lieu de votre honte, vous aurez double part, au lieu de l'humiliation, les cris de joie seront leurpart; aussi recevront-ils double héritage dans leur pays et auront-ils une joie éternelle.
8 For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.	8 Car moi, Yahvé, qui aime le droit, qui hais le vol et l'injustice, je leur donnerai fidèlement leurrécompense et je conclurai avec eux une alliance éternelle.
9 And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed.	9 Leur race sera célèbre parmi les nations, et leur descendance au milieu des peuples; tous ceux qui lesverront les reconnaîtront comme une race que Yahvé a bénie.
10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.	10 Je suis plein d'allégresse en Yahvé, mon âme exulte en mon Dieu, car il m'a revêtu de vêtements desalut, il m'a drapé dans un manteau de justice, comme l'époux qui se coiffe d'un diadème, comme la fiancée quise pare de ses bijoux.
11 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.	11 Car de même que la terre fait éclore ses germes et qu'un jardin fait germer sa semence, ainsi leSeigneur Yahvé fait germer la justice et la louange devant toutes les nations.
