Isaiah 56

1 Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.	1 Eis o que diz o Senhor: Respeitai o direito, praticai a justiça, porque a minha salvação não tardará a vir, a minha justiça vai manifestar-se.
2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.	2 Bem-aventurado o homem que assim procede, e o filho do homem que a isto se aplica, que guarda o sábado para não o profanar, que guarda as suas mãos para não fazer mal algum.
3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.	3 Não diga o filho do estrangeiro (ou pagão) que está unido (pela fé) ao Senhor: O Senhor com certeza me separará do seu povo. E não diga o eunuco: Eu sou um lenho seco (e estéril).
4 For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;	4 Eis, com efeito, o que diz o Senhor aos eunucos: Aos que guardarem os meus sábados, praticarem o que eu quero, e se prenderem à minha aliança,
5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.	5 darei um lugar na minha casa, e das minhas muralhas a dentro, um monumento e um nome melhores que filhos e filhas; dar-lhes-ei um nome sempiterno, que não perecerá jamais.
6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;	6 Quanto aos filhos do estrangeiro, que se ligarem ao Senhor para o honrarem e amarem o seu nome, para serem seus servos; a todo o que guardar o sábado para o não profanar, ao que for fiel à minha aliança,
7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.	7 conduzi-los-ei ao meu santo monte e alegrá-los-ei na minha casa de oração; os seus holocaustos e as suas vítimas ser-me-ão agradáveis sobre o meu altar, porque a minha casa será chamada casa de oração para todos os povos,
8 The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.	8 O Senhor Deus, que congrega os dispersos de Israel, diz: Ainda lhe reunirei outros, que se hão-de juntar aos já congregados.
9 All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest.	9 Animais todos do campo, feras do bosque, vinde devorar.
10 His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.	10 As sentinelas (de Israel) estão todas cegas, nada sabem; são cães mudos, que não podem ladrar, que sonham deitados, e que gostam de dormir.
11 Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.	11 São cães devoradores e insaciáveis. São pastores que não têm nenhuma inteligência. Todos seguem o seu caminho, cada um segundo o seu interesse, desde o mais alto até o mais baixo.
12 Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.	12 Vinde (dizem eles), vou buscar vinho, embriaguemo-nos; e, como hoje, também amanhã será grande, muito grande (dia de festa).
