Isaiah 51

1 Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged.	1 Udite me voi, che seguite la giustizia, e cercate il Signore: ponete mente alla pietra, donde voi foste tagliati, e alla sorgiva, donde voi foste tratti.
2 Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.	2 Ponete mente ad Abramo padre vostro, e a Sara, la quale vi partorì: e perocché lui, che era solo chiamai, e lo benedissi, e lo moltiplicai.
3 For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.	3 Il Signore adunque consolerà Sionne, e tutte le sue rovine ristorerà, fe i suoi deserti renderà come luoghi di delizia, e la sua solitudine come giardino del Signore. Gaudio, e letizia sarà con lei, rendimento di grazie, e voci di laude.
4 Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.	4 Badate a me, popol mio, e ascoltami, o mia tribù: perocché da me uscirà la legge, e la mia giustizia ad illuminazione de' popoli poserà sopra di essi.
5 My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.	5 Sta per venire il mio giusto, il Salvatore, ch'io mando, s'è messo per istrada, e le braccia mie reggeranno i popoli: me aspetteranno le isole, e nel braccio mio spereranno.
6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.	6 Alzate al cielo gli occhi vostri, e mirate giù in terra: perocché i cieli svaniranno come fumo, e la terra si consumerà come una veste, e i suoi abitatori periranno com'ella. Ma la salute ch'io mando, starà in sempiterno, e non verrà meno la mia giustizia.
7 Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.	7 Udite me voi, che sapete quello, che è giusto, popolo mio, nel cuor di cui è la mia legge: Non temete gli obbrobri degli uomini, non temete le loro bestemmie;
8 For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.	8 Imperocché gli consumerà il venne come una veste, e come lana saran divorati dalla tignuola: ma la salute, ch'io mando, starà in sempiterno, e la mia giustizia per tutte le generazioni.
9 Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Art thou not it that hath cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon?	9 Alzati, alzati, ammantati di fortezza, o braccio del Signore: alzati come negli antichi giorni, e alle passate etadi. Non se' tu quello, che percuotesti il superbo, feristi il dragone!
10 Art thou not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?	10 Non se' tu quello, che seccasti il mare, le acque dell'abisso tempestoso, che nel profondo del mare facesti strada, per cui passassero i deliberati?
11 Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.	11 Adesso pure quei, che il Signore ha redenti ritorneranno, e verranno a Sionne cantando laude, coronati di sempiterna allegrezza, gaudio, e allegrezza avran costante, e fuggirà il dolore, e i gemiti.
12 I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass;	12 Io, io stesso vi consolerò: chi se' tu, che tema un uom mortale, e un figliuolo dell'uomo, che seccherà come l'erba?
13 And forgettest the LORD thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?	13 E ti se' scordato del Signor, che ti fece, che distese i cieli, e fondò la terra: e tutto di hai avuto paura del furor di colui, che ti affliggeva, e si preparava a sterminarti: dov'è adesso il furor del tiranno?
14 The captive exile hasteneth that he may be loosed, and that he should not die in the pit, nor that his bread should fail.	14 Presto verrà colui, che viene ad aprire: egli non farà morire fino allo esterminio, e il pane di lui non verrà meno.
15 But I am the LORD thy God, that divided the sea, whose waves roared: The LORD of hosts is his name.	15 Ed io sono il Signore Dio tuo che sconvolgo il mare, e gonfiano i suoi flutti. Signor degli eserciti è il nome mio.
16 And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people.	16 A te ho poste in bocca le mie parole, e ti ho custodito all'ombra della mia mano, affinchè tu pianti i cieli, e fondi la terra, e dica a Sionne: Tu se' il mio popolo.
17 Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, which hast drunk at the hand of the LORD the cup of his fury; thou hast drunken the dregs of the cup of trembling, and wrung them out.	17 Alzati, alzati, levati su, o Gerusalemme, tu che dalla man del Signore hai bevuto il calice dell'ira sua, hai bevuto il calice sonnifero fino al fondo, lo hai succhiato sino alla feccia.
18 There is none to guide her among all the sons whom she hath brought forth; neither is there any that taketh her by the hand of all the sons that she hath brought up.	18 Tra tutti i figli, che ella ha generati, non è chi sia a lei di sostegno, e tra tutti i figliuoli, che ella ha allevati, non è chi la prenda per mano.
19 These two things are come unto thee; who shall be sorry for thee? desolation, and destruction, and the famine, and the sword: by whom shall I comfort thee?	19 Due son le sciagure, che hai in contrate. Chi si affliggerà per te? Devastazione, e sterminio, e fame, e spada. Chi ti consolerà?
20 Thy sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as a wild bull in a net: they are full of the fury of the LORD, the rebuke of thy God.	20 I tuoi figliuoli giaccion per terra, stanno assopiti a' capi di tutte le strade, come un orige preso alla rete: satolli d'ira del Signore, e di sua vendetta.
21 Therefore hear now this, thou afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine:	21 Per questo ascolta tu poverina, ed ebbra, ma non di vino.
22 Thus saith thy Lord the LORD, and thy God that pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling, even the dregs of the cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink it again:	22 Queste cose dice il tuo Dominatore, il Signore, e Dio tuo, che combatterà pel suo popolo: Ecco che io ho a te tolto di mano il calice sonnifero, la feccia del calice dell'ira mia, tu nol beverai mai più.
23 But I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee; which have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over: and thou hast laid thy body as the ground, and as the street, to them that went over.	23 E porrollo in mano a quelli, che ti hanno umiliata, e hanno detto a te: prostrati, affinchè noi passiamo; e tu desti il tuo corpo come terra, e come strada a que', che passavano.
