Isaiah 4

1 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.	1 Sette donne afferreranno un uomo, in quel giorno, e diranno: «Mangeremo il nostro pane e indosseremo le nostre vesti; soltanto, lasciaci portare il tuo nome. Togli la nostra onta».
2 In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.	2 In quel giorno il germoglio di Jahvè crescerà in onore e gloria, e il frutto della terra sarà a magnificenza e ornamento per gli scampati di Israele.
3 And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:	3 Avverrà che il resto in Sion e quanto sarà lasciato in Gerusalemme sarà chiamato santo, cioè chiunque sarà scritto nel libro della vita in Gerusalemme.
4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.	4 Quando il Signore avrà lavato le brutture delle figlie di Sion e avrà deterso dal centro di Gerusalemme il sangue che vi è stato versato con il soffio del giudizio e con il soffio dello sterminio,
5 And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.	5 allora verrà Jahvè su ogni punto del monte Sion e su tutte le adunanze come una nube e come fumo di giorno, come bagliore di fuoco e una fiamma di notte; perché sopra ogni dignità sta un baldacchino.
6 And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.	6 Una tenda fornirà l’ombra per il giorno contro il caldo e servirà di rifugio e riparo contro i temporali e contro la pioggia.
