KING JAMES BIBLEDOUAI-RHEIMS
LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.1 Out of the depths I have cried to thee, O Lord:
Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.2 Lord, hear my voice. Let thy ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication.
Let Israel hope in the LORD from henceforth and for ever.3 If thou, O Lord, wilt mark iniquities: Lord, who shall stand it.
For with thee there is merciful forgiveness: and by reason of thy law, I have waited for thee, O Lord. My soul hath relied on his word:
my soul hath hoped in the Lord.
From the morning watch even until night, let Israel hope in the Lord.
Because with the Lord there is mercy: and with him plentiful redemption.
And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
