1 Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake.	1 Ce n’est pas à nous, Seigneur, qu’il faut donner la gloire; non pas à nous mais à ton nom!
2 Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God?	2 Veux-tu que les païens disent: “Où est leur Dieu?”
3 But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.	3 Notre Dieu est dans les cieux, ce qui lui plaît il le fait.
4 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.	4 Mais leurs idoles ne sont qu’or et argent travaillés par des mains humaines.
5 They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:	5 Elles ont une bouche mais elles ne parlent pas, elles ont des yeux et elles ne voient pas,
6 They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not:	6 des oreilles, et elles n’entendent pas, elles ont un nez et ne sentent rien.
7 They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.	7 Elles ont des mains qui ne savent pas toucher, des pieds qui ne marchent pas, et un gosier qui ne donne aucun son.
8 They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them.	8 Que leurs fabricants deviennent comme elles avec tous ceux qui se confient en elles!
9 O Israel, trust thou in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.	9 Israël, mets ta confiance dans le Seigneur, il est pour vous secours et bouclier!
10 O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.	10 Maison d’Aaron, mets ta confiance dans le Seigneur, il est pour vous secours et bouclier!
11 Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.	11 Vous qui craignez le Seigneur, mettez en lui votre foi: il est pour vous secours et bouclier!
12 The LORD hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.	12 Le Seigneur ne nous oublie pas, il nous bénira: il bénira la maison d’Israël, il bénira la maison d’Aaron.
13 He will bless them that fear the LORD, both small and great.	13 Il bénira, petits ou grands, ceux qui le craignent.
14 The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children.	14 Que le Seigneur vous fasse bonne mesure, à vous et à vos enfants,
15 Ye are blessed of the LORD which made heaven and earth.	15 soyez bénis du Seigneur, créateur de la terre et des cieux!
16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD's: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.	16 Les cieux sont la demeure du Seigneur mais il a donné aux fils d’Adam la terre.
17 The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.	17 Sa louange ne lui vient pas des morts, ceux qui vont au silence ne louent pas le Seigneur.
18 But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the LORD.	18 Mais c’est à nous de louer le Seigneur, dès aujourd’hui et toujours.
