1 Now these are the priests and the Levites that went up with Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra,	1 - Questi sono i sacerdoti e i leviti che ritornarono con Zorobabel figlio di Salatiel, e con Josue: Saraia, Jeremia, Esdra,
2 Amariah, Malluch, Hattush,	2 Amaria, Melluc, Attus,
3 Shechaniah, Rehum, Meremoth,	3 Sebenia, Reum, Merimut,
4 Iddo, Ginnetho, Abijah,	4 Addo, Genton, Abia,
5 Miamin, Maadiah, Bilgah,	5 Miamin, Madia, Belga,
6 Shemaiah, and Joiarib, Jediah,	6 Semeia, Joiarib, Idaia, Sellum, Amoc, Elcia,
7 Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, Jedaiah. These were the chief of the priests and of their brethren in the days of Jeshua.	7 Idaia. Questi erano i capi dei sacerdoti e loro fratelli, a tempo di Josue.
8 Moreover the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, which was over the thanksgiving, he and his brethren.	8 Poi i leviti: Jesua, Bennui, Cedmiel, Sarebia, Juda, Matania, addetti al canto degli inni, essi e i loro fratelli;
9 Also Bakbukiah and Unni, their brethren, were over against them in the watches.	9 Becbecia, Anni, e i loro fratelli, ciascuno al suo ufficio.
10 And Jeshua begat Joiakim, Joiakim also begat Eliashib, and Eliashib begat Joiada,	10 Josue aveva generato Joacim, Joacim generato Eliasib, Eliasib generato Joiada,
11 And Joiada begat Jonathan, and Jonathan begat Jaddua.	11 Joiada generato Jonatan, Jonatan generato Jeddoa.
12 And in the days of Joiakim were priests, the chief of the fathers: of Seraiah, Meraiah; of Jeremiah, Hananiah;	12 A tempo di Joacim, i sacerdoti capi di famiglia erano: Della famiglia di Saraia, Maraia; di quella di Jeremia, Anania;
13 Of Ezra, Meshullam; of Amariah, Jehohanan;	13 di Esdra, Mosollam; di Amaria, Joanan;
14 Of Melicu, Jonathan; of Shebaniah, Joseph;	14 di Milico, Jonatan; di Sebenia, Josef;
15 Of Harim, Adna; of Meraioth, Helkai;	15 di Aram, Edna; di Maraiot, Elci;
16 Of Iddo, Zechariah; of Ginnethon, Meshullam;	16 di Adaia, Zaccaria; di Genton, Mosollam;
17 Of Abijah, Zichri; of Miniamin, of Moadiah, Piltai;	17 di Abia, Zecri; di Miamin e di Moadia, Felti;
18 Of Bilgah, Shammua; of Shemaiah, Jehonathan;	18 di Belga, Sammua; di Semaia, Jonatan;
19 And of Joiarib, Mattenai; of Jedaiah, Uzzi;	19 di Joiarib, Matanai; di Jodaia, Azzi;
20 Of Sallai, Kallai; of Amok, Eber;	20 di Sellai, Celai; di Amoc, Eber;
21 Of Hilkiah, Hashabiah; of Jedaiah, Nethaneel.	21 di Elcia, Asebia; di Idaia, Natanael.
22 The Levites in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, were recorded chief of the fathers: also the priests, to the reign of Darius the Persian.	22 Al tempo di Eliasib, di Jodia, di Joanan e di Jeddoa, i leviti capi di famiglia ed i sacerdoti furono inscritti sotto il regno di Dario re di Persia.
23 The sons of Levi, the chief of the fathers, were written in the book of the chronicles, even until the days of Johanan the son of Eliashib.	23 I figli di Levi capi di famiglia furono inscritti nel libro delle Cronache, sino al tempo di Jonatan figlio di Eliasib.
24 And the chief of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise and to give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, ward over against ward.	24 Ora, i capi dei leviti erano: Asebia, Serebia, e Josue figlio di Cedmiel; e i loro fratelli dovevano, secondo il loro turno, lodare e celebrare [il Signore] secondo il precetto di Davide uomo di Dio, osservando l'ordine stabilito.
25 Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were porters keeping the ward at the thresholds of the gates.	25 Matania, Becbecia, Obedia, Mosollam, Telmon, Accub, custodivano le porte ed i vestiboli avanti alle porte.
26 These were in the days of Joiakim the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest, the scribe.	26 Questi furono al tempo di Joacim figlio di Josue, figlio di Josedec, ed al tempo di Neemia governatore e di Esdra sacerdote e scriba.
27 And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, with cymbals, psalteries, and with harps.	27 Ma per la dedicazione della muraglia di Gerusalemme, furon chiamati i leviti da tutt'i luoghi ove erano, acciò venissero a Gerusalemme, a far questa dedicazione con gioia e rendimento di grazie, con cantici e cembali e salterii e cetre.
28 And the sons of the singers gathered themselves together, both out of the plain country round about Jerusalem, and from the villages of Netophathi;	28 Convennero dunque i figli dei cantori dalle campagne de' dintorni di Gerusalemme e dai villaggi di Netufati,
29 Also from the house of Gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba and Azmaveth: for the singers had builded them villages round about Jerusalem.	29 e dalla casa di Galgal, e dai territori di Geba e di Azmavet, poichè i cantori s'erano edificati dei villaggi attorno a Gerusalemme.
30 And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, and purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.	30 Ed i sacerdoti e i leviti si purificarono; poi, purificarono il popolo, le porte, e le muraglie.
31 Then I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great companies of them that gave thanks, whereof one went on the right hand upon the wall toward the dung gate:	31 Io feci salir sulle mura i principali di Giuda, e formai due grandi cori che cantavano. Mossero [i primi] a man destra, sulle mura, verso la porta Stercoraria.
32 And after them went Hoshaiah, and half of the princes of Judah,	32 Dietro a loro andò Osaia, e metà de' principali di Giuda.
33 And Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam,	33 Azaria, Esdra, Mosollam, Juda, Beniamin, Semeia e Jeremia.
34 Judah, and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah,	34 E, dei figli de' sacerdoti con trombe, Zaccaria figlio di Jonatan, figlio di Semeia, figlio di Matania, figlio di Micaia, figlio di Zecur, figlio di Asaf;
35 And certain of the priests' sons with trumpets; namely, Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Michaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph:	35 e i suoi fratelli, Semeia, Azadeel, Malalai, Galalai, Maai, Natanael, Juda e Anani, con gli istrumenti musicali di Davide uomo di Dio; ed avanti a loro, Esdra scriba, alla porta della Fonte.
36 And his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azarael, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God, and Ezra the scribe before them.	36 E salirono diritti davanti a loro, pei gradini della città di Davide, dove il muro sale sopra la casa di Davide, sino alla porta delle Acque, ad oriente.
37 And at the fountain gate, which was over against them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall, above the house of David, even unto the water gate eastward.	37 Il secondo coro di quei che rendevano grazie andava in senso contrario. Io gli venivo dietro con metà del popolo, sulla muraglia, sulla torre dei Forni, e sino a dove il muro è più largo,
38 And the other company of them that gave thanks went over against them, and I after them, and the half of the people upon the wall, from beyond the tower of the furnaces even unto the broad wall;	38 sulla porta di Efraim, sulla porta Antica, sulla porta dei Pesci, e la torre di Ananeel e la torre di Emat, sino alla porta Ovile; si fermarono alla porta della Prigione;
39 And from above the gate of Ephraim, and above the old gate, and above the fish gate, and the tower of Hananeel, and the tower of Meah, even unto the sheep gate: and they stood still in the prison gate.	39 i due cori che lodavano il Signore si fermarono alla casa di Dio, ed io pure, e con me la metà dei magistrati,
40 So stood the two companies of them that gave thanks in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me:	40 ed i sacerdoti Eliachim, Maasia, Miamin, Michea, Elioenai, Zaccaria, Anania, con le trombe,
41 And the priests; Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;	41 e Maasia, Semeia, Eleazar, Azzi, Joanan, Melchia, Elam ed Ezer. I cantori alzarono i loro canti, ed Jezraia era il loro capo.
42 And Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sang loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer.	42 Immolarono gran numero di vittime in quel giorno, e fecero festa; Dio infatti li aveva rallegrati di gran letizia e il loro giubilo si fece sentire anche lontano da Gerusalemme.
43 Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for God had made them rejoice with great joy: the wives also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.	43 Furono anche stabiliti, in quel giorno, dei sacerdoti e dei leviti addetti alle stanze del tesoro, alle libazioni, alle primizie e alle decime, acciò per loro mezzo i capi della città facessero degnamente e con rendimento di grazie le loro offerte; poichè Giuda s'era rallegrato di vedere i sacerdoti e i leviti nel loro ufficio.
44 And at that time were some appointed over the chambers for the treasures, for the offerings, for the firstfruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them out of the fields of the cities the portions of the law for the priests and Levites: for Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites that waited.	44 Ed avevano osservato il divin culto, e le cerimonie dell'espiazione; così i cantori e gli ostiarii, secondo il precetto di Davide e di Salomone suo figlio.
45 And both the singers and the porters kept the ward of their God, and the ward of the purification, according to the commandment of David, and of Solomon his son.	45 Sin da principio, infatti, dal tempo di Davide e di Asaf, erano stabiliti i capi de' cantori che cantavano lodi e benedizioni a Dio.
46 For in the days of David and Asaph of old there were chief of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God.	46 E tutto Israele, a tempo di Zorobabel e di Neemia, dava ogni giorno ai cantori ed agli ostiarii ciò che a loro spettava; e metteva da parte l'offerta dovuta ai leviti; questi poi facevano altrettanto pei figli d'Aronne.
47 And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the porters, every day his portion: and they sanctified holy things unto the Levites; and the Levites sanctified them unto the children of Aaron.
