1 Thus all the work that Solomon made for the house of the LORD was finished: and Solomon brought in all the things that David his father had dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and all the instruments, put he among the treasures of the house of God.	1 Salomone portò e ripose nei tesori della casa di Dio tutto quel­lo che David suo padre aveva offerto, l'argento, l'oro e tutti i vasi.
2 Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion.	2 Poi convocò a Gerusalemme gli anziani d'Israele, tutti i principi delle tribù e i capi di famiglia dei figli d'Israele, per trasportare l'arca dell'alleanza del Si­gnore dalla città di David, che è Sion.
3 Wherefore all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto the king in the feast which was in the seventh month.	3 Vennero adunque pres­so del re tutti gli uomini d'Israele nel dì solenne del settimo mese.
4 And all the elders of Israel came; and the Levites took up the ark.	4 Arrivati che furono tutti gli anziani d'Israele, i leviti tolsero l'arca sulle spalle,
5 And they brought up the ark, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, these did the priests and the Levites bring up.	5 e la trasportarono con tutti gli arredi del Tabernacolo. I vasi del santuario che eran nel Tabernacolo li portarono i sacerdoti coi leviti.
6 Also king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled unto him before the ark, sacrificed sheep and oxen, which could not be told nor numbered for multitude.	6 E il re Salomone, tutta radunanza d'Israele e tutti quelli raccolti dinanzi all'arca immolavano arieti e buoi da non potersi contare, tanta era la quantità delle vittime.
7 And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, to the oracle of the house, into the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims:	7 I sacerdoti portarono l'arca dell'alleanza del Signore nel suo luogo, cioè nell'oracolo del tempio, nel Santo dei Santi, sotto le ali dei cherubini,
8 For the cherubims spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.	8 in modo che i cherubini, stendendo le loro ali sopra il luogo dove l'arca era posta, coprivano l'arca e le sue stanghe.
9 And they drew out the staves of the ark, that the ends of the staves were seen from the ark before the oracle; but they were not seen without. And there it is unto this day.	9 Or essendo le stanghe, colle quali era portata l'arca, assai lunghe, le loro estremità comparivano dinanzi all'oracolo; però se uno stava di fuori non poteva vederle. L'arca restò lì fino al presente.
10 There was nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moses put therein at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.	10 Nell'arca non v'era altro che le due tavole postevi da Mosè presso l'Oreb, quando il Signore diede la legge ai figli d'Israele usciti dall'Egitto.
11 And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place: (for all the priests that were present were sanctified, and did not then wait by course:	11 Appena usciti i sacerdoti dal santuario (tutti i sacerdoti che poterono intervenirvi si santificarono, non essendo ancora in quel tempo distribuiti tra loro i turni e l'ordine tra i ministri),
12 Also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:)	12 mentre i leviti e i cantori, cioè quelli che erano sotto Asaf, quel­li sotto Heman, quelli sotto Iditun e i loro figli e i loro fratelli, vestiti di bisso, sonavano cembali, salteri e cetre, stando in piedi dalla parte orientale dell'altare, con centoventi sacerdoti che sonavano le trombe;
13 It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD;	13 mentre tutti ugualmente colle trombe e colla voce, e coi cembali, e cogli organi, e con strumenti musicali di diverso genere, facevano risuonare un concento e alzavano in alto la voce, e da lontano se ne udiva il rumore; quando ebbero cominciato a lodare il Si­gnore e a dire: « Date gloria al Si­gnore, perchè egli è buono, perchè eterna è la sua misericordia », la casa di Dio fu riempita da una nuvola,
14 So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.	14 e i sacerdoti non potevano più starvi, nè fare le loro funzioni, a causa della caligine; perchè la gloria del Signore aveva riempita la casa di Dio.
