1 Thus all the work that Solomon made for the house of the LORD was finished: and Solomon brought in all the things that David his father had dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and all the instruments, put he among the treasures of the house of God.	1 Salomone adunque fece portare e riporre ne' tesori della casa dei Signore tutto quello, che era stato offerto da David suo padre, l'argento, e l'oro, e tutti i vasi.
2 Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion.	2 Indi convocò i seniori d'Israele, e tutti i principi delle tribù, e capi di famiglia de' figliuoli d'Israele a Gerusalemme, per trasportare l'arca del testamento del Signore dalla città di David, cioè da Sion.
3 Wherefore all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto the king in the feast which was in the seventh month.	3 Si radunarono adunque presso al re tutti gli uomini d'Israele nel di solenne del settimo mese.
4 And all the elders of Israel came; and the Levites took up the ark.	4 E quando furon venuti tutti i seniori d Israele, i Leviti portaron l'arca.
5 And they brought up the ark, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, these did the priests and the Levites bring up.	5 E la introdusser (nel tempio) con tutto l'acconcime del tabernacolo. I vasi poi del Santuario, che erano nel tabernacolo, li portarono i sacerdoti co' Leviti.
6 Also king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled unto him before the ark, sacrificed sheep and oxen, which could not be told nor numbered for multitude.	6 E il re Salomone, e tutta l'adunanza d'Israele, e tutti quelli, che si erano congregati dinanzi all'arca, immolavano arieti, e bovi senza numero: tanto era grande la quantità delle vittime.
7 And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, to the oracle of the house, into the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims:	7 E i sacerdoti portaron dentro l'arca del testamento del Signore al suo posto, viene a dire, nell' oracolo del tempio, nel Santo de' Santi sotto le ale dei Cherubini:
8 For the cherubims spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.	8 Talmente che i Cherubini stendevan le loro ale sopra il luogo, dove posava l'arca, e l'arca stessa coprivano, e le sue stanghe.
9 And they drew out the staves of the ark, that the ends of the staves were seen from the ark before the oracle; but they were not seen without. And there it is unto this day.	9 E i capi delle stanghe, sulle quali portavasi l'arca, perche queste erano lunghe assai, comparivano dinanzi all'oracolo: ma uno, che stesse un po' infuora, non petea vederli. E l'arca ebbe ivi sua stanza fino al dì d'oggi.
10 There was nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moses put therein at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.	10 E nell'arca non vi era altro che le due tavole postevi da Mosè presso all'Horeb, quando il Signore diede la legge a' figliuoli d'Israele usciti dall'Egitto.
11 And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place: (for all the priests that were present were sanctified, and did not then wait by course:	11 E quando i sacerdoti furono usciti dal Santuario (perocché tutti i sacerdoti, che poterono intervenirvi, si santificarono: e non erano ancora stati spartiti tra loro i turni, e l'ordine delle loro funzioni).
12 Also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:)	12 Tanto i Leviti, come i cantori, viene a dire, quelli, che erano sotto Asaph, e quelli sotto Heman, e quelli sotto Idithun, e i lor figliuoli, e fratelli vestiti di bisso sonavano cimbali, e salterj, e cetere, stando in piedi dalla parte orientale dell'altare, e con essi cento venti sacerdoti, che sonavan le loro trombe.
13 It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD;	13 Per la qual cosa mentre tutti egualmente e cantavano, e sonavano trombe, cimbali, organi, e ogni sorta di musicali strumenti, e alzavano in alto le loro voci, ne andava il rimbombo nelle lontane parti; e quando ebber principiato a cantare, e a dire: Date laude al Signore, perchè egli è buono perchè la sua misericordia è eterna: la casa di Dio fu ingombrata da una nuvola,
14 So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.	14 E i sacerdoti non potevano starvi, né fare le loro funzioni a causa della caligine. Perocché la gloria del Signore avea ripiena la casa di Dio.
