1 In the twenty and seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel began Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah to reign.	1 No ano vinte e sete de Jeroboão, rei de Israel, reinou Azarias, filho de Amasias, rei de Judá;
2 Sixteen years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned two and fifty years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jecholiah of Jerusalem.	2 Tinha dezasseis anos quando começou a reinar, e reinou cinquenta e dois anos em Jerusalém. Sua mãe chamava-se Jequelia, natural de Jerusalém.
3 And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done;	3 Ele fez o que era agradável diante do Senhor, conforme tudo o que fez Amasias, seu pai.
4 Save that the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burnt incense still on the high places.	4 Todavia não demoliu os lugares altos; o povo ainda sacrificava, e queimava incenso nos lugares altos,
5 And the LORD smote the king, so that he was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house. And Jotham the king's son was over the house, judging the people of the land.	5 O Senhor castigou o rei, que ficou leproso até ao dia da sua morte, vivendo à parte numa casa retirada. Joatão, filho do rei, governava o palácio e julgava o povo daquela terra.
6 And the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?	6 Quanto ao resto das acções de Azarias, a tudo o que ele fez, não está escrito no livro das Crônicas dos reis de Judá?
7 So Azariah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Jotham his son reigned in his stead.	7 Azarias adormeceu com seus pais, e sepultaram-no com os seus maiores na cidade de Davide. Joatão, seu filho, reinou em seu lugar.
8 In the thirty and eighth year of Azariah king of Judah did Zachariah the son of Jeroboam reign over Israel in Samaria six months.	8 No ano trinta e oito de Azarias, rei de Judá, reinou Zacarias, filho de Jeroboão, sobre Israel, em Samaria, durante seis meses.
9 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.	9 Fez o que era mau diante do Senhor, como tinham feito seus pais; não se apartou dos pecados de Jeroboão, filho de Nabat, que tinha feito pecar Israel.
10 And Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him, and smote him before the people, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.	10 Conjurou-se contra ele Selum, filho de Jabes, e atacou-o publicamente, dando-Ihe a morte. Reinou em seu lugar.
11 And the rest of the acts of Zachariah, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.	11 Quanto ao resto das acções de Zacarias, não estão elas escritas no livro das Crónicas dos reis de Israel?
12 This was the word of the LORD which he spake unto Jehu, saying, Thy sons shall sit on the throne of Israel unto the fourth generation. And so it came to pass.	12 Assim se cumpriu o que o Senhor tinha dito a Jeú: Teus filhos estarão sentados sobre o trono de Israel até á quarta geração. Assim sucedeu.
13 Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the nine and thirtieth year of Uzziah king of Judah; and he reigned a full month in Samaria.	13 No ano trinta e nove de Azarias, rei de Judá, reinou Selum, filho de Jabes. Reinou somente durante um mês em Samaria.
14 For Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.	14 Manaem, filho de Gadi, subiu de Tersa, foi a Samaria, feriu Selum, filho de Jabes, em Samaria, e matou-o, e reinou em seu lugar.
15 And the rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.	15 Quanto ao resto das acções de Selum, e a conspiração que ele urdiu traiçoeiramente, porventura estas coisas não estão escritas no livro das Crônicas dos reis de Israel?
16 Then Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the coasts thereof from Tirzah: because they opened not to him, therefore he smote it; and all the women therein that were with child he ripped up.	16 Então destruiu Manaem Tapsa e todos os que estavam nela, e os seus confins desde Tersa, porque lhe não quiseram abrir a porta; matou todas as mulheres grávidas, fazendo-as rasgar pelo ventre.
17 In the nine and thirtieth year of Azariah king of Judah began Menahem the son of Gadi to reign over Israel, and reigned ten years in Samaria.	17 No ano trinta e nove de Azarias, rei de Judá, Manaem, filho de Gadi, reinou sobre Israel em Samaria durante dez anos.
18 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.	18 Fez o que era mau diante do Senhor; não se apartou dos pecados de Jeroboão, filho de Nabat, que tinha feito pecar Israel durante todo o seu reinado.
19 And Pul the king of Assyria came against the land: and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.	19 Ful, rei dos Assírios, foi então a esta terra, e Manaem deu a Ful mil talentos de prata, para que ele o socorresse e lhe firmasse o seu reino.
20 And Menahem exacted the money of Israel, even of all the mighty men of wealth, of each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there in the land.	20 Manaem fez pagar este dinheiro a todas as pessoas poderosas e ricas, para o dar ao rei dos Assírios, cinquenta siclos de prata por cabeça. Então o rei dos Assírios retirou-se, sem se demorar no país.

22 And Menahem slept with his fathers; and Pekahiah his son reigned in his stead.	22 Manaem adormeceu com seus pais, e Faceias, seu filho, reinou em seu lugar.
23 In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekahiah the son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned two years.	23 No ano cinquenta de Azarias, rei de Judá, Faceias, filho de Manaem, reinou sobre Israel, em Samaria, durante dois anos.
24 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.	24 Fez o que era mau diante do Senhor; não se apartou dos pecados de Jeroboão, filho de Nabat, que tinha feito pecar Israel.
25 But Pekah the son of Remaliah, a captain of his, conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria, in the palace of the king's house, with Argob and Arieh, and with him fifty men of the Gileadites: and he killed him, and reigned in his room.	25 Faceia, filho de Romelia, general das suas tropas, fez uma conjuração contra ele, feriu-o em Samaria, na torre da casa real, junto de Argobe de Arie, tendo com ele cinquenta homens dos filhos de Galaaditas, e matou-o, ficando a reinar em seu lugar.

27 In the two and fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekah the son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned twenty years.	27 No ano cinquenta e dois de Azarias, rei de Judá, Faceia, filho de Romelia, reinou sobre Israel em Samaria durante vinte anos.
28 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.	28 Fez o que era mau diante do Senhor; não se apartou dos pecados de Jeroboão, filho de Nabat, que tinha feito pecar Israel.
29 In the days of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and Abel-beth-maachah, and Jonoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and carried them captive to Assyria.	29 No tempo de Faceia, rei de Israel, veio Teglatfalasar, rei dos Assírios, e tomou Aion, Abel-Bet-Maca, Janoe, Cedes, Asor, Galaad, Galiléa e todo o país de Neftali, e transportou todos os seus habitantes para a Assíria.
30 And Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and smote him, and slew him, and reigned in his stead, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.	30 Oséas, filho de Ela, fez uma conspiração e armou emboscadas contra Faceia, filho de Romelia, feriu-o e matou-o. Reinou em seu lugar no vigésimo ano de Joatão, filho de Ozias.
31 And the rest of the acts of Pekah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.	31 O resto das acções de Faceia, tudo o que ele fez, não está isso escrito no livro das Crônicas dos reis de Israel?
32 In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah king of Israel began Jotham the son of Uzziah king of Judah to reign.	32 No ano segundo de Faceia, filho de Romelia, rei de Israel, reinou Joatão, filho de Ozias, rei de Judá.
33 Five and twenty years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jerusha, the daughter of Zadok.	33 Tinha vinte e cinco anos quando começou a reinar, e reinou durante dezasseis anos em Jerusalém. Sua mãe chamava-se Jerusa, filha de Sadoc.
34 And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD: he did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.	34 Fez o que era agradável ao Senhor, procedeu em tudo como tinha feito Ozias seu pai.
35 Howbeit the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burned incense still in the high places. He built the higher gate of the house of the LORD.	35 Todavia não destruiu os lugares altos; o povo ainda sacrificava e queimava incenso nos lugares altos, Joatão edificou a porta superior da casa do Senhor.
36 Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?	36 O resto das acções de Joatão, tudo o que ele fez, não está isso escrito no livro das Crônicas dos reis de Judá?
37 In those days the LORD began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah.	37 Neste mesmo tempo começou o Senhor a enviar contra Judá a Rasin rei da Síria, e a Faceia, filho de Romelia.
38 And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.	38 Joatão adormeceu com seus pais, e foi sepultado com eles na cidade de Davide, seu pai. Em seu lugar reinou seu filho Acaz.
