1 So king Solomon was king over all Israel.	1 - Il re Salomone regnava sopra tutto Israele.
2 And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,	2 Ecco quali ministri aveva: Azaria figlio del sacerdote Sadoc,
3 Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder.	3 Elioref ed Aia figli di Sisa, segretari; Josafat figlio di Ailud, cronista;
4 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:	4 Banaia figlio di Joiada, capo dell'esercito; Sadoc e Abiatar, sacerdoti;
5 And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king's friend:	5 Azaria figlio di Natan, capo di quelli che stavano presso il re; Zadub figlio del sacerdote Natan amico del re;
6 And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.	6 Aisar, maggiordomo e Adoniram figlio di Abda, sovraintendente ai tributi.
7 And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.	7 Avea inoltre dodici intendenti sopra tutto Israele, che fornivano viveri al re e alla sua casa: somministravano ciascuno per un mese all'anno il necessario.
8 And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:	8 Eccone i nomi: Benur sul monte di Efraim;
9 The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth-shemesh, and Elon-beth-hanan:	9 Bendecar in Macces, in Selebim, in Betsames, in Elon ed in Betanan;
10 The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher:	10 Benesed in Arubot; a lui apparteneva pure Soco e tutta la terra di Efer;
11 The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife:	11 Benadinadab, a cui apparteneva tutto Nefat Dor e aveva per isposa Tafet figlia di Salomone;
12 Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-meholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam:	12 Bana figlio di Ailud reggeva Tanac e Mageddo e tutta la terra di Betsan che è presso Sartana al disotto di Jezrael da Betsan fino ad Abelmeula, fino al di là di Jecmaan;
13 The son of Geber, in Ramoth-gilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brasen bars:	13 Bengaber a Ramot di Galaad aveva i villaggi di Jair figlio di Manasse in Galaad; egli presiedeva tutta la regione di Argob, che è in Basan, in tutto sessanta città grandi, murate e munite di sbarre di rame;
14 Ahinadab the son of Iddo had Mahanaim:	14 Ainadab figlio di Addo avea la prefettura di Manaim;
15 Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:	15 Achimaas reggeva Neftali e anch'egli avea in moglie una figlia di Salomone, Basemat;
16 Baanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth:	16 Baana figlio di Usi comandava in Aser e in Balot;
17 Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:	17 Josafat figlio di Farue presiedeva in Issacar;
18 Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:	18 Semei figlio di Ela comandava in Beniamino;
19 Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.	19 Gaber figlio di Uri era sopraintendente alla terra di Galaad, nel territorio di Seon re Amorreo e di Og re di Basan e sopra tutto ciò che stava in quel territorio.
20 Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.	20 Giuda ed Israele erano assai numerosi, come la sabbia del mare. Essi mangiavano, bevevano, e se la godevano.
21 And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.	21 Salomone avea sotto il suo dominio anche tutti i regni, dal fiume della terra dei Filistei sino alle frontiere dell'Egitto, e gli portavano dei doni e gli restarono soggetti per tutto il tempo della sua vita.
22 And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,	22 Come provvigioni a Salomone occorrevano ogni giorno trenta cori di fior di farina e settanta cori di farina ordinaria;
23 Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.	23 dieci buoi ingrassati, venti buoi di pastura e cento arieti, senza la cacciagione di cervi, di caprioli, di daini e di pollame da stia.
24 For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.	24 Egli dominava su tutto il paese al di là del fiume da Tafsa fino a Gaza e sopra tutti i re di quelle regioni, e era in pace con tutti i confinanti all'intorno.
25 And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, all the days of Solomon.	25 Perciò Giuda e Israele vivevano senza timore alcuno, ciascuno all'ombra della sua vite e del suo fico, da Dan fino a Bersabee, per tutto il tempo che visse Salomone.
26 And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.	26 Salomone avea quarantamila scuderie pei cavalli destinati ai suoi carri e dodicimila cavalieri.
27 And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.	27 Gli intendenti del re sopra indicati li fornivano del nutrimento; come pure provvedevano alle cose necessarie alla mensa del re Salomone, fornendo il tutto, con gran cura a suo tempo
28 Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.	28 e portando l'orzo e la paglia per i cavalli e le bestie da tiro nel luogo dove si trovava il re, secondo gli ordini ricevuti.
29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.	29 Iddio diede a Salomone grande sapienza e prudenza e una larghezza di cuore incommensurabile come la rena che sta sulla riva del mare.
30 And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.	30 E la sapienza di Salomone era maggiore della sapienza di tutti gli Orientali e di tutti gli Egiziani.
31 For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.	31 Era più sapiente di qualsiasi uomo, più di Etan l'Ezraita e di Eman e di Calcol e di Dorda figlio di Maol, ed era celebrato in tutte le nazioni dei dintorni.
32 And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.	32 Salomone pronunziò tremila parabole; e i suoi cantici furono mille e cinque.
33 And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.	33 Ragionò intorno agli alberi, dal cedro del Libano fino all'issopo che spunta dai muri; parlò altresì intorno agli animali, agli uccelli, ai rettili e ai pesci.
34 And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.	34 Per sentire la sapienza di Salomone accorrevano da tutte le parti e venivano messaggeri da tutti i re della terra, che avevan sentito parlare della sapienza di lui.
