1 And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beer-sheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac.	1 Partito Israele con tutto quello che aveva, giunse al pozzo del giuramento; e ivi avendo immolato vittime al Dio del padre suo Isacco,
2 And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.	2 Udì in visione di notte tempo uno, che lo chiamava, e gli diceva: Giacobbe, Giacobbe: a cui egli rispose: Eccomi qui.
3 And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation:	3 Dissegli Dio: Io sono il Dio fortissimo del padre tuo: non temere: va' in Egitto, perocché ivi ti farò capo di una gran nazione.
4 I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes.	4 Io verrò teco colà, e ti sarò guida nel tuo ritorno di là: Giuseppe ancora chiuderà a te gli occhi.
5 And Jacob rose up from Beer-sheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.	5 E alzossi Giacobbe dal pozzo del giuramento: e i suoi figliuoli lo misero coi bambini e le donne su' carri mandati da Faraone per trasportare il vecchio,
6 And they took their cattle, and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt, Jacob, and all his seed with him:	6 E tutto quello che possedeva nella terra di Chanaan: ed egli giunse in Egitto con tutta la sua stirpe,
7 His sons, and his sons' sons with him, his daughters, and his sons' daughters, and all his seed brought he with him into Egypt.	7 Co' suoi figliuoli, e coi nipoti, e figlie, e tutta insieme la discendenza.
8 And these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons: Reuben, Jacob's firstborn.	8 E questi sono i nomi de' figliuoli d'Israele, i quali entrarono in Egitto, egli co' suoi figliuoli de' quali il primogenito Ruben.
9 And the sons of Reuben; Hanoch, and Phallu, and Hezron, and Carmi.	9 Figliuoli di Ruben: Henoch, e Phallu, ed Hesron, e Charmi.
10 And the sons of Simeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanitish woman.	10 Figliuoli di Simeon: Jamuel, e Jamin, e Ahod, e Jachin, e Sohar, e Saul figliuolo di una Chananea.
11 And the sons of Levi; Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.	11 Figliuoli di Levi: Gerson, e Caath, e Merari.
12 And the sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Pharez, and Zerah: but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. And the sons of Pharez were Hezron and Hamul.	12 Figliuoli di Giuda: Her, e Onan, e Sela, e Phares, e Zara: ma Her, ed Onan morirono nella terra di Chanaan. E a Phares nacquero i figliuoli Hesron, e Hamul.
13 And the sons of Issachar; Tola, and Phuvah, and Job, and Shimron.	13 Figliuoli di Issachar: Thola, e Phua, e Job, e Semron.
14 And the sons of Zebulun; Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.	14 Figliuoli di Zabulon: Sared, ed Elon, e Jahelel.
15 These be the sons of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob in Padan-aram, with his daughter Dinah: all the souls of his sons and his daughters were thirty and three.	15 Questi sono i figliuoli di Lia partoriti da lei nella Mesopotamia della Siria insieme con Dina sua figlia: tutte le anime de' suoi figliuoli e figlie trentatré.
16 And the sons of Gad; Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.	16 Figliuoli di Gad: Sephion, e Haggi, e Suni, ed Esebon, ed Heri, e Arodi, e Areli.
17 And the sons of Asher; Jimnah, and Ishuah, and Isui, and Beriah, and Serah their sister: and the sons of Beriah; Heber, and Malchiel.	17 Figliuoli di Aser: Jamne, e Jesua, e Jessui, e Beria, e anche Sara loro sorella. Figliuoli di Beria: Heber, e Melchiel.
18 These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter, and these she bare unto Jacob, even sixteen souls.	18 Questi sono i figliuoli di Zelpha data da Laban a Lia sua figlia: e questi li generò Giacobbe, sedici anime.
19 The sons of Rachel Jacob's wife; Joseph, and Benjamin.	19 Figliuoli di Rachel moglie di Giacobbe: Giuseppe, e Beniamin.
20 And unto Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, which Asenath the daughter of Poti-pherah priest of On bare unto him.	20 E Giuseppe ebbe per figliuoli nella terra di Egitto Manasse, ed Ephraim partoritigli da Aseneth, figliuola di Putifare sacerdote di Heliopoli.
21 And the sons of Benjamin were Belah, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.	21 Figliuoli di Beniamin: Bela, e Bechor, e Asbel, e Gera, e Naaman, ed Echi, e Ros, e Mophim, e Ophim, e Ared.
22 These are the sons of Rachel, which were born to Jacob: all the souls were fourteen.	22 Questi sono i figliuoli di Rachele, e di Giacobbe: in tutto quattordici anime.
23 And the sons of Dan; Hushim.	23 Figliuoli di Dan: Husim.
24 And the sons of Naphtali; Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.	24 Figliuoli di Nephtali: Jasiel, e Guni, e Jeser, e Sallem.
25 These are the sons of Bilhah, which Laban gave unto Rachel his daughter, and she bare these unto Jacob: all the souls were seven.	25 Questi sono figliuoli di Bala data da Laban a sua figlia Rachele; e questi discesero da Giacobbe: in tutto sette anime.
26 All the souls that came with Jacob into Egypt, which came out of his loins, besides Jacob's sons' wives, all the souls were threescore and six;	26 Tutte le anime, che andarono in Egitto con Giacobbe, discendenti da lui, tolte le mogli de' suoi figliuoli, sessantasei.
27 And the sons of Joseph, which were born him in Egypt, were two souls: all the souls of the house of Jacob, which came into Egypt, were threescore and ten.	27 I figliuoli di Giuseppe nati a lui in Egitto, due anime. Tutte le anime della casa di Giacobbe, che entrarono in Egitto, furon settanta.
28 And he sent Judah before him unto Joseph, to direct his face unto Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.	28 E (Giacobbe) spedì avanti di sé Giuda a Giuseppe per avvisarlo, che venisse incontro a lui in Gessen.
29 And Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and presented himself unto him; and he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.	29 E quand'ei vi fu arrivato, Giuseppe fatto attaccare il suo cocchio andò fino allo stesso luogo incontro al padre: e quando lo vide, si lasciò andare sul collo di lui, e abbracciatolo pianse.
30 And Israel said unto Joseph, Now let me die, since I have seen thy face, because thou art yet alive.	30 E il padre disse a Giuseppe: Ora io morrò contento, perché ho veduta la tua faccia, e ti lascio dopo di me.
31 And Joseph said unto his brethren, and unto his father's house, I will go up, and shew Pharaoh, and say unto him, My brethren, and my father's house, which were in the land of Canaan, are come unto me;	31 Ma quegli disse a' suoi fratelli, e a tutta la famiglia del padre suo: Anderò a recar la nuova a Faraone, e gli dirò: I miei fratelli, e la famiglia del padre mio, che erano nella terra di Chanaan, sono venuti da me:
32 And the men are shepherds, for their trade hath been to feed cattle; and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.	32 E sono uomini pastori di pecore, e si occupano a mantenere de' greggi: hanno condotto seco il loro bestiame, e gli armenti, e tutto quello che potevano avere.
33 And it shall come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call you, and shall say, What is your occupation?	33 E quand'egli vi chiamerà, e vi dirà: Qual mestiere è il vostro?
34 That ye shall say, Thy servants' trade hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians.	34 Voi risponderete: Noi servi tuoi siamo pastori dalla nostra infanzia sino a quest'ora, e noi, e i padri nostri. E ciò voi direte, affinché possiate abitare nella terra di Gessen: perché gli Egiziani hanno in abbominazione tutti i pastori di pecore.
