1 Így szólt továbbá az Úr Mózeshez és Áronhoz:	1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:
2 »Írd össze a leviták közül Kaát fiait, nemzetségük és nagycsaládjuk szerint,	2 'Take a census by clans and families of the Levites descended from Kohath:
3 harminc esztendőtől és feljebb ötven esztendeig, mindazokat, akik bevonulhatnak, hogy a szövetség sátrának szolgálatába álljanak.	3 al the men between thirty and fifty years of age and eligible for military service, who will have theirduties in the Tent of Meeting.

7 Takarják be továbbá a kitett kenyerek asztalát egy egészen kékszínű lepellel, tegyék hozzá a tömjénezőket, a mozsárkákat, a csészéket s az italáldozat bemutatására szolgáló serlegeket – a kenyerek mindenkor legyenek rajta –,	7 'Over the offertory table they wil spread a violet cloth, and on it put the dishes, cups, bowls and libationjars; the bread of permanent offering will also be on it.
8 aztán terítsenek föléjük egy karmazsin színű leplet, azt meg borítsák be egy halbőrből készült takaróval, s tegyék a helyére rúdjait.	8 Over these they will spread a scarlet cloth and cover the whole with a covering of fine leather. They willthen fix the poles to the table.
9 Aztán vegyenek egy kékszínű leplet, takarják be vele a mécstartót mécseseivel, hamuszedőivel, hamutartóival s minden olyan olajos edényével együtt, amely a mécsesek felszereléséhez szükséges,	9 'They wil then take a violet cloth and cover the lamp-stand, its lamps, snuffers, trays and al the oil jars used for it,
10 tegyenek mindezek fölé egy halbőrből készült takarót, s dugjanak be rudakat.	10 and wil lay it and al its accessories in a covering of fine leather and put it on the litter.
11 Aztán takarják be az aranyoltárt egy kékszínű lepelbe, efölé terítsenek egy halbőrből készült takarót, s tegyék a helyére rúdjait.	11 'Over the golden altar they wil spread a violet cloth, and cover that with a covering of fine leather.They wil then fix the poles to it.
12 Aztán takarjanak be minden eszközt, mellyel a szentélyben a szolgálatot végzik, egy kékszínű lepelbe, efölé terítsenek egy halbőrből készült takarót, s tegyenek alá rudakat.	12 'They wil then take al the other objects used in the service of the sanctuary, put them in a violetcloth, with a covering of fine leather, and put it al on the litter.
13 Végül tisztítsák meg az oltárt a hamutól, takarják be bíborszínű lepelbe,	13 'When they have removed the ashes from the altar, they wil spread a scarlet cloth over it,
14 tegyék hozzá mindazokat az eszközöket, amelyekkel rajta a szolgálatot végzik, vagyis a parázstartókat, a villákat, a fogókat, a horgokat meg a lapátokat, majd takarják be az oltár minden eszközét egy halbőrből készült takaróval, s helyezzék bele a rudakat.	14 and on this place all the objects used in the liturgy, the fire pans, hooks, scoops, sprinkling basins andal the altar accessories. Over this they will spread a covering of fine leather. They wil then fix the poles to it.
15 Amikor aztán Áron és fiai betakarták a szentélyt s minden eszközét, a tábor indulásakor, akkor menjenek be Kaát fiai, hogy elvigyék a betakart dolgokat: de magukat a szentély eszközeit ne érintsék, hogy halállal ne lakoljanak. Ezek Kaát fiainak vinnivalói a szövetség sátrában.	15 'Once Aaron and his sons have finished covering the holy things and all their accessories at thebreaking of camp, the Kohathites wil come and carry them, but without touching any of the holy things on pain ofdeath. Such is the load for the Kohathites in the Tent of Meeting.
16 Eleazár, Áron papnak a fia legyen a felügyelőjük; az ő gondja legyen a mécsesek elkészítésére való olaj, a füstölőszer-keverék, a mindenkor bemutatandó ételáldozat, a kenet olaja és mindaz, ami a hajlék szolgálatához tartozik s minden eszköz, amely a szentélyben van.«	16 But Eleazar, son of Aaron the priest, is responsible for looking after the oil for the light, the fragrantincense, the daily cereal offering and the anointing oil, and for supervising the entire Dwel ing and everything init, the holy things and their accessories.'
17 Így szólt továbbá az Úr Mózeshez és Áronhoz:	17 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:
18 »Ne idézzétek elő Kaát nemzetségének pusztulását a leviták közül,	18 'You must not let the group of Kohathite clans be lost to the rest of the Levites.
19 hanem így járjatok el velük, hogy életben maradjanak, s halállal ne lakoljanak, ha a szentséges dolgokhoz közelednek. Áron és fiai menjenek be, ők rendeljék el kinek-kinek teendőit, s ők osszák ki, kinek mit kell vinnie;	19 But deal with them in this way, so that they may survive and not incur death by approaching thosethings that are especial y holy. Aaron and his sons wil go in and assign to each of them his task and load,
20 amazok ne kíváncsiskodjanak és meg ne lássák a szentélyben levő dolgokat betakarásuk előtt, különben halállal lakolnak.«	20 in such a way that they have no need to incur the death penalty by going in and setting eyes on theholy things, even for an instant.'
21 Így szólt továbbá az Úr Mózeshez:	21 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:
22 »Írd össze Gerson fiait is, nagycsaládjuk és nemzetségük szerint:	22 'Take a census of the Gershonites by families and clans, too:
23 harminc- esztendőstől fölfelé ötvenesztendősig számláld meg mindazokat, akik bevonulhatnak, hogy szolgálatot teljesítsenek a szövetség sátránál.	23 al the men between thirty and fifty years of age, eligible for military service, who will have their dutiesin the Tent of Meeting.
24 A következő a gersoniták nemzetségének tiszte:	24 'These are the duties of the Gershonite clans, their functions and their loads.
25 ők vigyék a hajlék szőnyegeit, a szövetség sátrát, a másik takarót s a mindezek fölé való, halbőrből készült takarót, a szövetség sátrának bejáratán függő leplet,	25 They wil carry the curtaining of the Dwel ing, the Tent of Meeting with its covering and the covering offine leather that goes over it, the screen for the entrance to the Tent of Meeting,

28 Ez a gersoniták nemzetségének tiszte a szövetség sátrában; Itamárnak, Áron pap fiának keze alatt legyenek.	28 Such are the duties of the Gershonite clans in the Tent of Meeting. Their work wil be supervised byIthamar, son of Aaron the priest.

30 harmincesztendőstől fölfelé ötvenesztendősig mindazokat, akik bevonulhatnak szolgálatuk végzésére a bizonyság szövetségének szolgálatára.	30 You will take a census of al the men between thirty and fifty years of age, eligible for military service,who wil have their duties in the Tent of Meeting.
31 Vinnivalóik a következők: ők vigyék a hajlék deszkáit és reteszrúdjait, oszlopait s azok talpait,	31 'The load they carry and the duties incumbent on them in the Tent of Meeting will be as fol ows: theframework of the Dwel ing, its cross-bars, poles and sockets,
32 továbbá az udvar körben levő oszlopait azok talpaival, cövekeivel s köteleivel együtt. Minden tárgyat és eszközt szám szerint kapjanak meg, s úgy vigyenek.	32 the poles round the court with their sockets, pegs, cords and al their tackle. You wil draw up a list oftheir names with the loads for which each is responsible.
33 Ez a meráriták nemzetségének tiszte és szolgálata a szövetség sátrában: Itamárnak, Áron pap fiának keze alatt legyenek.«	33 'Such are the duties of the Merarite clans. Al their duties in the Tent of Meeting wil be supervised byIthamar, son of Aaron the priest.'
34 Megszámlálták tehát Mózes és Áron meg a gyülekezet fejedelmei Kaát fiait, nemzetségük és nagycsaládjuk szerint,	34 Moses, Aaron and the leaders of the community took a census of the Kohathites by clans andfamilies:
35 harmincesztendőstől fölfelé ötvenesztendősig mindazokat, akik bevonulhattak a szövetség sátrának szolgálatára:	35 al the men between thirty and fifty years of age, eligible for military service, for duties in the Tent ofMeeting.
36 és kétezer-hétszázötvenen voltak.	36 The number of men counted in their clans came to two thousand seven hundred and fifty.
37 Ez azoknak a száma Kaát nemzetségéből, akik bevonulhattak a szövetség sátrába, akiket megszámlált Mózes és Áron, az Úrnak Mózes által adott parancsára.	37 Such was the total number of men in the Kohathite clans who were eligible for duties in the Tent ofMeeting and whom Moses and Aaron counted at Yahweh's bidding through Moses.

48 összesen nyolcezer-ötszáznyolcvanan voltak.	48 came to eight thousand five hundred and eighty.
49 Az Úr parancsára számlálta meg őket Mózes, mindenkit tiszte, s vinnivalója szerint, amint az Úr parancsolta neki.	49 At Yahweh's bidding through Moses, a census was taken of them and each man was assigned hisduty and load. And so the census was conducted by Moses as Yahweh had ordered him.
