KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Így szólt továbbá az Úr Mózeshez:	1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:
2 »Szólj Áronhoz és fiaihoz s Izrael valamennyi fiához, s mondd nekik: Ezt parancsolta az Úr:	2 'Speak to Aaron and his sons and al the Israelites and say: "This is the order that Yahweh has given:
3 Ha valaki Izrael házából marhát, juhot vagy kecskét vág, akár a táborban, akár a táboron kívül,	3 "Any man of the House of Israel who slaughters a bull, lamb or goat, whether inside the camp oroutside it,
4 és nem a sátor ajtajához viszi áldozatul az Úrnak: vérontásban legyen bűnös; mintha vért ontott volna, éppúgy vesszen el népéből.	4 without bringing it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting to make an offering of it to Yahweh in front ofhis Dwel ing, that man wil be answerable for bloodshed; he has shed blood, and that man wil be outlawed fromhis people.
5 Azért kell a paphoz vinniük Izrael fiainak vágóáldozataikat, amelyeket azelőtt a mezőkön szoktak levágni, hogy az Úrnak szenteljék azokat a bizonyság sátrának ajtaja előtt és békeáldozatul vágják le az Úrnak,	5 The purpose of this is that the Israelites should instead bring their sacrifices, which they wouldotherwise offer in the countryside, to Yahweh at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, to the priest, and offer themas communion sacrifices to Yahweh;
6 és a pap a vért a bizonyság sátrának ajtajánál az Úr oltárára hintse, a hájat pedig kedves illatul elégesse az Úrnak,	6 and the priest wil sprinkle the blood on Yahweh's altar at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and willburn the fat as a smel pleasing to Yahweh.
7 s ne áldozzák többé vágóáldozataikat a démonoknak, akikkel paráználkodtak. Örök törvény legyen ez nekik, s utódaiknak.	7 No longer may they offer their sacrifices to the satyrs in whose service they used to prostitutethemselves. This is a perpetual law for them and for their descendants."
8 Mondd továbbá nekik: Ha valaki, Izrael házából vagy a közöttetek tartózkodó jövevények közül, egészen elégő áldozatot vagy vágó áldozatot mutat be,	8 'You will also say to them, "Any member of the House of Israel or any resident alien who offers a burntoffering or sacrifice
9 s azt nem a bizonyság sátrának ajtajához viszi, hogy az Úrnak mutassa be: vesszen el népéből.	9 without bringing it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting to offer it to Yahweh, will be outlawed from hispeople.
10 Ha valaki, Izrael házából, vagy a közöttük tartózkodó jövevények közül, vért eszik, én ellene fordítom arcomat, s elvesztem őt népéből.	10 "If any member of the House of Israel or any resident alien consumes blood of any kind, I shal set myface against that individual who consumes blood and shal outlaw him from his people.
11 A test lelke ugyanis a vérben van, és én a vért arra rendeltem nektek, hogy engesztelést végezzetek vele lelketekért az oltáron és a vér a lélek által engesztelésre szolgáljon.	11 For the life of the creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you for performing the rite of expiationon the altar for your lives, for blood is what expiates for a life.
12 Ezért mondtam Izrael fiainak: Senki se egyék vért közületek vagy a közöttetek tartózkodó jövevények közül.	12 That is why I told the Israelites: None of you wil consume blood, nor wil any resident alien consumeblood.
13 Ha valaki, Izrael fiai közül vagy a közöttetek tartózkodó jövevények közül, vadászással vagy madarászással olyan vadat vagy madarat ejt, amelyet nem szabad enni, folyassa ki vérét, s födje be földdel.	13 "Anyone, whether Israelite or resident alien, who hunts and catches game, whether animal or bird,which it is lawful to eat, must pour out its blood and cover it with earth.
14 Minden testnek a lelke ugyanis a vérben van. Azért mondtam Izrael fiainak: Semmiféle test vérét ne egyétek, mert a test lelke a vérben van – s aki eszi, vesszen el.	14 For the life of every creature is its blood, and I have told the Israelites: You wil not consume theblood of any creature, for the life of every creature is its blood, and anyone who consumes it wil be outlawed.
15 Ha valaki elhullott vagy vad által széttépett állatot eszik, akár bennszülött, akár jövevény: mossa meg ruháját s önmagát vízzel, s legyen tisztátalan estig; ez után a rendtartás után tiszta lesz.	15 "Anyone, citizen or alien, who eats an animal that has died a natural death or been savaged, mustwash clothing and body, and wil be unclean until evening, but wil then be clean.
16 Ha azonban nem mossa meg ruháját és testét, viselje gonoszságát.«	16 But anyone who does not wash clothing and body wil bear the consequences of his guilt." '
