Leviticus 24

1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	1 Der Herr sprach zu Moses:
2 Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee the finest and dearest oil of olives, to furnish the lamps continually,	2 "Befiehl den Israeliten: Sie sollen dir reines Öl aus zerstoßenen Oliven für den Leuchter bringen, damit man eine beständig brennende Lampe aufstecken kann.
3 Without the veil of the testimony in the tabernacle of the covenant. And Aaron shall set them from evening until morning before the Lord, by a perpetual service and rite in your generations.	3 Außerhalb des Vorhangs vor dem Gesetz im Offenbarungszelt mache sie Aaron zurecht, damit sie beständig vom Abend bis zum Morgen vor dem Herrn brenne; das ist eine immerwährende Satzung für all eure Geschlechter.
4 They shall be set upon the most pure candlestick before the Lord continually.	4 Auf dem Leuchter aus purem Golde soll er die Lampen anbringen, damit sie beständig vor dem Herrn brennen.
5 Thou shalt take also fine hour, and shalt bake twelve leaves thereof, two tenths shall be in every loaf :	5 Nimm ferner Mehl und backe daraus zwölf Ringbrote! Auf jedes kommen zwei Zehntel Epha.
6 And thou shalt set them six and six one against another upon the most clean table before the Lord:	6 Lege sie dann in zwei Schichten, je sechs in einer Schicht, auf den Tisch aus reinem Gold vor dem Herrn auf!
7 And thou shalt put upon them the dearest frankincense, that the bread may be for a memorial of the oblation of the Lord.	7 Zu jeder Schicht aber sollst du reinen Weihrauch geben. Er soll als Duftteil für das Brot dienen, ein Feueropfer für den Herrn.
8 Every sabbath they shall be changed before the Lord, being received of the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant:	8 An jedem Sabbat richte Aaron es her vor dem Herrn als regelmäßige Gabe von den Israeliten, als immerwährende Bundesverpflichtung!
9 And they shall be Aaron's and his sons', that they may eat them in the holy place: because it is most holy of the sacrifices of the Lord by a perpetual right.	9 Es gehöre Aaron und seinen Söhnen; sie sollen es an heiliger Stätte essen; denn es ist eine hochheilige Gabe, die ihm von den Feueropfern des Herrn zusteht als dauerndes Recht."
10 And behold there went out the son of a woman of Israel, whom she had of an Egyptian, among the children of Israel, and fell at words in the camp with a man of Israel.	10 Einst begab sich der Sohn einer israelitischen Mutter und eines ägyptischen Vaters unter die Israeliten. Im Lager brach nun ein Streit aus zwischen dem Sohn der Israelitin und einem israelitischen Mann.
11 And when he had blasphemed the name, and had cursed it, he was brought to Moses: (now his mother was called Salumith, the daughter of Dabri, of the tribe of Dan:)	11 Da lästerte der Sohn der Israelitin den Namen des Herrn und fluchte; man brachte ihn zu Moses; der Name seiner Mutter war Schelomit, Tochter des Dibri vom Stamme Dan.
12 And they put him into prison, till they might know what the Lord would command.	12 Man legte ihn in Gewahrsam, bis ihnen Moses auf Befehl des Herrn Auskunft erteilte.
13 And the Lord spoke to Moses,	13 Der Herr sprach zu Moses:
14 Saying: Bring forth the blasphemer without the camp, and let them that heard him, put their hands upon his head, and let all the people stone him.	14 "Laß den Lästerer hinaus vor das Lager führen; alle, die es gehört haben, sollen ihre Hände auf sein Haupt legen, und die ganze Gemeinde soll ihn steinigen!
15 And thou shalt speak to the children of Israel: the man that curseth his God, shall bear his sin:	15 Zu den Söhnen Israels aber sprich: Jeder, der seinem Gotte flucht, lädt Sündenschuld auf sich.
16 And he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, dying let him die: all the multitude shall stone him, whether he be a native or a stranger. He that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, dying let him die.	16 Wer den Namen des Herrn lästert, soll des Todes sterben; die ganze Gemeinde steinige ihn! Sei es ein Fremder oder ein Einheimischer, für seine Lästerung des Namens soll er sterben!
17 He that striketh and killeth a man, dying let him die.	17 Erschlägt jemand einen Menschen, soll er des Todes sterben!
18 He that killeth a beast, shall make it good, that is to say, shall give beast for beast.	18 Wenn er ein Stück Vieh erschlägt, muß er es ersetzen, Stück um Stück.
19 He that giveth a blemish to any of his neighbours: as he hath done, so shall it be done to him:	19 Bringt jemand seinem Nächsten eine körperliche Verletzung bei, soll ihm getan werden, wie er getan hat:
20 Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, shall he restore. What blemish he gave, the like shall he be compelled to suffer.	20 Bruch um Bruch, Auge um Auge, Zahn um Zahn! Denselben Körperschaden, den er einem Menschen zugefügt hat, soll man ihm zufügen.
21 He that striketh a beast, shall render another. He that striketh a man shall be punished.	21 Wer ein Stück Vieh erschlägt, muß es ersetzen; wer einen Menschen erschlägt, muß sterben.
22 Let there be equal judgment among you, whether he be a stranger, or a native that offends: because I am the Lord your God.	22 Einerlei Recht soll für euch gelten, für den Fremden wie für den Einheimischen! Ich bin der Herr, euer Gott!"
23 And Moses spoke to the children of Israel: and they brought forth him that had blasphemed, without the camp, and they stoned him. And the children of Israel did as the Lord had commanded Moses.	23 Als Moses zu den Israeliten geredet hatte, führten sie den Lästerer vor das Lager hinaus und steinigten ihn. Die Israeliten taten, wie der Herr dem Moses befohlen hatte.
