¹ A psalm for David himself. The Lord hath reigned, let the people be angry: he that sitteth on the cherubims: let the earth be moved.	¹ The LORD reigns; let the peoples tremble! He sits enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake!
² The Lord is great in Sion, and high above all people.	² The LORD is great in Zion; he is exalted over all the peoples.
³ Let them give praise to thy great name: for it is terrible and holy:	³ Let them praise thy great and terrible name! Holy is he!
⁴ and the king's honour loveth judgment. Thou hast prepared directions: thou hast done judgment and justice in Jacob.	⁴ Mighty King, lover of justice, thou hast established equity; thou hast executed justice and righteousness in Jacob.
⁵ Exalt ye the Lord our God, and adore his footstool, for it is holy.	⁵ Extol the LORD our God; worship at his footstool! Holy is he!

⁸ Thou didst hear them, O Lord our God: thou wast a merciful God to them, and taking vengeance on all their inventions.	⁸ O LORD our God, thou didst answer them; thou wast a forgiving God to them, but an avenger of their wrongdoings.
⁹ Exalt ye the Lord our God, and adore at his holy mountain: for the Lord our God is holy.	⁹ Extol the LORD our God, and worship at his holy mountain; for the LORD our God is holy!
