1 Unto the end, for the sons of Core, a psalm.	1 Dem Musikmeister; von den Korahiten ein Psalm.
2 Lord, thou hast blessed thy land: thou hast turned away the captivity of Jacob.	2 Du hast zwar, HERR, deinem Lande Gnade gewährt,hast Jakobs Mißgeschick gewendet,
3 Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people: thou hast covered all their sins.	3 hast deinem Volke die Schuld vergebenund all seine Sünde zugedeckt, SELA;
4 Thou hast mitigated all thy anger: thou best turned away from the wrath of thy indignation.	4 hast deinem ganzen Groll entsagt,von der Glut deines Zorns dich abgewandt:
5 Convert us, O God our saviour: and turn off thy anger from us.	5 stell uns nun aber auch wieder her, du Gott unsers Heils,und laß deinen Unmut gegen uns schwinden!
6 Wilt thou be angry with us for ever: or wilt thou extend thy wrath from generation to generation?	6 Willst du denn unversöhnlich gegen uns zürnenund deinen Zorn fortdauern lassen für und für?
7 Thou wilt turn, O God, and bring us to life: and thy people shall rejoice in thee.	7 Willst du uns nicht wieder neu beleben,daß dein Volk sich deiner mag freuen?
8 Shew us, O Lord, thy mercy; and grant us thy salvation.	8 Laß uns schauen, o HERR, deine Gnadeund gewähre uns dein Heil!
9 I will hear what the Lord God will speak in me: for he will speak peace unto his people: And unto his saints: and unto them that are converted to the heart.	9 Ich will doch hören (= lauschen), was Gott der HERR verkündet! –Fürwahr, er kündet Segen anseinem Volke und seinen Frommen;nur daß sie nicht wieder sich wenden zur Torheit!
10 Surely his salvation is near to them that fear him: that glory may dwell in our land.	10 Wahrlich, sein Heil (oder: seine Hilfe) ist denen nah, die ihn fürchten,daß Herrlichkeit in unserm Lande wohne,
11 Mercy and truth have met each other: justice and peace have kissed.	11 daß Gnade und Treue einander begegnen (oder: begrüßen),Gerechtigkeit und Friede sich küssen.
12 Truth is sprung out of the earth: and justice hath looked down from heaven.	12 Die Treue wird aus der Erde sprossenund Gerechtigkeit vom Himmel niederschauen.
13 For the Lord will give goodness: and our earth shall yield her fruit.	13 Dann wird uns der HERR auch Segen spenden,daß unser Land uns seinen Ertrag gewährt;
14 Justice shall walk before him: and shall set his steps in the way.	14 Gerechtigkeit wird vor ihm hergehnund achten auf den Weg seiner Schritte.
