Psalms 75

1 Unto the end, corrupt not, a psalm of a canticle for Asaph.	1 For the leader. Do not destroy! A psalm of Asaph; a song.
2 We will praise thee, O God: we will praise, and we will call upon thy name. We will relate thy wondrous works:	2 We thank you, God, we give thanks; we call upon your name, declare your wonderful deeds. You said:
3 when I shall take a time, I will judge justices.	3 "I will choose the time; I will judge fairly.
4 The earth is melted, and all that dwell therein: I have established the pillars thereof.	4 The earth and all its inhabitants will quake, but I have firmly set its pillars." Selah
5 I said to the wicked: Do not act wickedly: and to the sinners: Lift not up the horn.	5 So I say to the boastful: "Do not boast!" to the wicked: "Do not raise your horns!
6 Lift not up your horn on high: speak not iniquity against God.	6 Do not raise your horns against heaven! Do not speak arrogantly against the Rock!"
7 For neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the desert hills:	7 For judgment comes not from east or from west, not from the desert or from the mountains,
8 for God is the judge. One he putteth down, and another he lifteth up:	8 But from God who decides, who brings some low and raises others high.
9 for in the hand of the Lord there is a cup of strong wine full of mixture. And he hath poured it out from this to that: but the dregs thereof are not emptied: all the sinners of the earth shall drink.	9 Yes, a cup is in the LORD'S hand, foaming wine, fully spiced. When God pours it out, they will drain it even to the dregs; all the wicked of the earth must drink.
10 But I will declare for ever: I will sing to the God of Jacob.	10 But I will rejoice forever; I will sing praise to the God of Jacob,
11 And I will break all the horns of sinners: but the horns of the just shall be exalted.	11 Who has said: "I will break off all the horns of the wicked, but the horns of the just shall be lifted up."
