And all the multitude of the children of Israel being gathered together, he said to them: These are the things which the Lord hath commanded to be done.1 Moses versammelte die ganze Gemeinde der Israeliten und sprach zu ihnen: "Dies hat der Herr euch zu tun geboten:
Six days you shall do work: the seventh day shall be holy unto you, the sabbath, and the rest of the Lord: he that shall do any work on it, shall be put to death.2 Sechs Tage soll gearbeitet werden, am siebten Tage aber soll ein heiliger Ruhetag sein, der dem Herrn geweiht ist; jeder, der an ihm arbeitet, muß sterben.
You shall kindle no fire in any of your habitations on the sabbath day.3 Ihr sollt am Sabbat in keiner eurer Wohnstätten Feuer anzünden."
And Moses said to all the assembly of the children of Israel: This is the word the Lord hath commanded, saying:4 Moses sprach zur ganzen Gemeinde der Israeliten: "Der Herr hat folgendes geboten:
Set aside with you firstfuits to the Lord. Let every one that is willing and hath a ready heart, offer them to the Lord: gold, and silver, and brass,5 Erhebt von denen, die bei euch sind, eine Abgabe für den Herrn; jeder, der von Herzen gern gibt, soll als Abgabe für den Herrn bringen: Gold, Silber, Kupfer,
Violet and purple, and scarlet twice dyed, and fine linen, goats' hair,6 violette Purpurwolle, roten Purpur, karmesinfarbenen Stoff, Byssus und Ziegenhaare,
And rams' skins dyed red, and violet coloured skins, setim wood,7 rotgefärbte Widderfelle, Tachaschhäute und Akazienholz,
And oil to maintain lights, and to make ointment, and most sweet incense.8 Öl für den Leuchter, Balsame für das Salböl und für das wohlriechende Räucherwerk,
Onyx stones, and precious stones, for the adorning of the ephod and the rational.9 Karneolsteine und Besatzsteine für das Ephod und das Brustschild.
Whosoever of you is wise, let him come, and make that which the Lord hath commanded:10 Alle Kunstverständigen unter euch sollen kommen und alles verfertigen, wie der Herr es aufgetragen hat:
To wit, the tabernacle and the roof thereof, and the cover, the rings, and the board work with the oars, the pillars, and the sockets:11 die Wohnstätte, ihr Zelt und ihre Decke, ihre Haken, ihre Bretter und ihre Verriegelung, ihre Säulen und ihre Fußsockel,
The ark and the staves, the propitiatory, and the veil that is drawn before it:12 die Lade mit ihren Stangen, den Sühnedeckel und den verhüllenden Vorhang,
The table with the bars and the vessels, and the loaves of proposition:13 den Tisch mit seinen Stangen und all seinen Geräten sowie die Schaubrote,
The candlestick to bear up the lights, the vessels thereof and the lamps, and the oil for the nourishing of fires:14 das Gestell des Leuchters, seine Geräte und seine Lampen und das Öl des Leuchters,
The altar of incense, and the bars, and the oil of unction and the incense of spices: the hanging at the door of the tabernacle:15 den Räucheraltar mit seinen Stangen, das Salböl, das wohlriechende Räucherwerk, die Türdecke am Eingang der Wohnstätte,
The altar of holocaust, and its grate of brass, with the bars and vessels thereof: the laver and its foot:16 den Brandopferaltar und das dazugehörige Gitter aus Kupfer, seine Stangen und all seine Geräte, das Becken und sein Gestell,
The curtains of the court with the pillars and the sockets, the hanging in the doors of the entry,17 die Umhänge des Vorhofes, seine Säulen, seine Fußsockel und den Vorhang über dem Eingang des Vorhofes,
The pins of the tabernacle and of the court with their little cords:18 die Zeltpflöcke der Wohnstätte und des Vorhofes und die dazugehörigen Stricke,
The vestments that are to be used in the ministry of the sanctuary, the vesture of Aaron the high priest, and of his sons, to do the office of priesthood to me.19 die gewirkten Gewänder zum Dienst im Heiligtum, d. h. die heiligen Gewänder für den Priester Aaron und die Gewänder für seine Söhne zum priesterlichen Dienst."
And all the multitude of the children of Israel going out from the presence of Moses,20 Da ging die ganze Gemeinde der Israeliten von Moses weg.
Offered firstfruits to the Lord with a most ready and devout mind, to make the work of the tabernacle of the testimony. Whatsoever was necessary to the service, and to the holy vestments,21 Sie kamen wieder; jeder, den sein Herz dazu antrieb, und jeder, dessen Geist willig war, brachte die Abgabe für den Herrn zur Herstellung des Offenbarungszeltes, für den gesamten heiligen Dienst und für die heiligen Gewänder.
Both men and women gave bracelets and earrings, rings and tablets: every vessel of gold was set aside to be offered to the Lord.22 Männer kamen und Frauen; alle, die ihr Herz dazu antrieb, brachten Spangen, Ohrringe, Fingerringe und Halsschmuck, alles aus Gold; und so tat jeder, der eine Weihegabe aus Gold dem Herrn bringen wollte.
If any man had violet, and purple, and scarlet twice dyed, fine linen and goats' hair, rams' skins dyed red, and violet coloured skins,23 Jeder, der violette Purpurwolle, roten Purpur, karmesinfarbenen Stoff, Byssus und Ziegenhaar, rotgefärbte Widderfelle oder Tachaschhäute besaß, brachte sie herbei.
Metal of silver and brass, they offered it to the Lord, and setim wood for divers uses.24 Jeder, der eine Silber- oder Kupfergabe leisten wollte, steuerte zur Spende für den Herrn bei; wer Akazienholz hatte zu irgendeiner Verarbeitung für den heiligen Dienst, schleppte es ebenfalls herzu.
The skilful women also gave such things as they had spun, violet, purple, and scarlet, and fine linen,25 Alle Frauen, die in Handarbeit geschickt waren, spannen selbst und brachten das Gesponnene: Violette Purpurwolle, roten Purpur, karmesinfarbenen Stoff und Byssus.
And goats' hair, giving all of their own accord.26 Alle Frauen, die sich vermöge ihrer Begabung angespornt fühlten, spannen eigenhändig die Ziegenhaare.
But the princes offered onyx stone, and precious stones, for the ephod and the rational,27 Die Fürsten brachten die Karneolsteine und die Besatzsteine für das Ephod und das Brustschild,
And spices and oil for the lights, and for the preparing of ointment, and to make the incense of most sweet savour.28 die Balsame und das Öl für den Leuchter, für das Salböl und das wohlriechende Räucherwerk.
All both men and women with devout mind offered gifts, that the works might be done which the Lord had commanded by the hand of Moses. All the children of Israel dedicated voluntary offerings to the Lord.29 Alle Männer und Frauen, die ihr Herz dazu antrieb, etwas zu dem Werk beizutragen, dessen Anfertigung der Herr durch Moses verordnet hatte, brachten als Nachkommen Israels eine freiwillige Gabe für den Herrn.
And Moses said to the children of Israel: Behold the Lord hath called by name Beseleel the son of Uri the son of Hur of the tribe of Juda.30 Moses sprach zu den Israeliten: "Seht, der Herr hat den Bezalel, den Sohn des Uri, Enkel des Chur aus dem Stamme Juda, mit Namen berufen
And hath filled him with the spirit of God, with wisdom and understanding and knowledge and all learning.31 und hat ihn mit göttlichem Geist erfüllt in Weisheit, in Einsicht und Erkenntnis für jegliches Werk.
To devise and to work in gold and silver and brass,32 Er soll Pläne entwerfen und diese in Gold, Silber und Kupfer ausführen.
And in engraving stones, and in carpenters' work. Whatsoever can be devised artificially,33 Auch mit der Fertigkeit hat er ihn begabt, Steine für Fassungen zu bearbeiten und Holz zu schnitzen, um jegliches geplante Werk auszuführen.
He hath given in his heart: Ooliab also the son of Achisamech of the tribe of Dan:34 Auch verlieh er ihm die Fähigkeit, andere zu unterweisen, ihm und Oholiab, dem Sohn des Achisamach, aus dem Stamme Dan.
Both of them hath he instructed with wisdom, to do carpenters' work and tapestry, and embroidery in blue and purple, and scarlet twice dyed, and fine linen, and to weave all things, and to invent all new things.35 Er erfüllte sie mit Kunstsinn zur Ausführung aller Arbeiten des Kunsthandwerkers, des Kunstwebers, des Buntwirkers in violetter Purpurwolle, rotem Purpur, in karmesinfarbenem Stoff und in Byssus sowie des Webers, lauter Männer, die jegliches Werk ausführen und Pläne entwerfen können.
