1 Los descendientes de Judá fueron Peres, Jesrón, Carmí, Jur y Sobal.	1 The sons of Judah: Perez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.
2 Reaías, hijo de Sobal, fue padre de Iájat; Iájat fue padre de Ajumai y de Lahad. Estas son las familias de los soreatitas.	2 Truly, Reaiah, the son of Shobal, conceived Jahath; from him were born Ahumai and Lahad. These are the kindred of the Zorathites.
3 Los descendientes de Etam fueron Izreel, Ismá e Ibdás. Su hermana se llamaba Haslelponí.	3 And this is the stock of Etam: Jezreel, and Ishma, and Idbash. And the name of their sister was Hazzelelponi.
4 Penuel fue padre de Guedor, y Ezer padre de Jusá. Estos son los hijos de Jur, el primogénito de Efratá, padre de Belén.	4 Now Penuel was the father of Gedor, and Ezer was the father of Hushah. These are the sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratha, the father of Bethlehem.
5 Asjur, padre de Técoa, tuvo dos esposas: Jelá y Naará.	5 Truly, for Ashhur, the father of Tekoa, there were two wives: Helah and Naarah.

9 Pero Iabés fue más célebre que sus hermanos, y su madre le puso el nombre de Iabés, diciendo: «Di a luz con dolor».	9 But Jabez was renown, more so than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “For I bore him in sorrow.”
10 Iabés invocó al Dios de Israel, exclamando: «Si me bendices verdaderamente, ensancharás mis fronteras, tu mano estará conmigo y alejarás el mal para que desaparezca mi aflicción». Y Dios le concedió lo que él había pedido.	10 Truly, Jabez called upon the God of Israel, saying, “If only, when blessing, you will bless me, and will broaden my borders, and your hand will be with me, and you will cause me not to be oppressed by evil.” And God granted to him the things for which he prayed.
11 Quelub, hermano de Sujá, fue padre de Mejir, que fue a su vez padre de Estón.	11 Now Chelub, the brother of Shuhah, conceived Mehir, who was the father of Eshton.
12 Estón fue padre de Bet Rafá, de Paseáj, y de Tejiná, el padre de Ir Najás. Estos son los hombres de Recá.	12 Then Eshton conceived Bethrapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah, the father of the city of Nahash. These are the men of Recah.
13 Los hijos de Quenaz fueron Otniel y Seraías; los hijos de Otniel, Jatat y Meonatai.	13 Now the sons of Kenaz were Othniel and Seraiah. And the sons of Othniel were Hathath and Meonothai.
14 Meonatai fue padre de Ofrá, y Seraías fue padre de Joab, fundador del valle de los Herreros, porque eran herreros.	14 Meonothai conceived Ophrah, but Seraiah conceived Joab, the father of the Valley of Artisans. For indeed, there were artisans there.
15 Los hijos de Caleb, hijo de Iefuné, fueron Irú, Elá y Náam. El hijo de Elá fue Quenaz.	15 Truly, the sons of Chelub, the son of Jephunneh, were Iru, and Elah, and Naam. And the sons of Elah: Kenaz.

30 Betuel, Jormá, Siquelag,	30 and in Bethuel, and in Hormah, and in Ziklag,
31 Bet Marcabot, Jasar Susím, Bet Birí y Saaraim. Estas fueron sus ciudades hasta el reinado de David.	31 and in Beth-marcaboth, and in Hazarsusim, and in Bethbiri, and in Shaaraim. These were their cities until king David.
32 Sus poblados fueron Etam, Ain, Rimón, Toquén y Asán –cinco ciudades en total –	32 And their towns were Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, five cities,
33 y todos los poblados que están alrededor de aquellas ciudades, hasta Baalat. Allí habitaron y fueron registrados por grupos.	33 with all their villages, on every side of these cities, as far as Baal. This is their habitation and the distribution of the settlements.
34 Mesobab, Iamlec, Iosá, hijo de Amasías;	34 And there were Meshobab and Jamlech, and Joshah, the son of Amaziah,
35 Joel, Jehú, hijo de Iosibías, hijo de Seraías, hijo de Asiel;	35 and Joel, and Jehu, the son of Joshibiah, the son of Seraiah, the son of Asiel,

40 Y hallaron pastos abundantes y buenos, y una tierra espaciosa, tranquila y segura, porque antes habían vivido allí los descendientes de Cam.	40 And they found fat and very good pastures, and a very wide and quiet and fruitful land, in which some from the stock of Ham had lived before.
41 Los que fueron mencionados por sus nombres, llegaron en tiempos de Ezequías, rey de Judá, y destruyeron los campamentos de los descendientes de Cam y los refugios que allí se encontraban, consagrándolos al exterminio total hasta el día de hoy. Allí se establecieron en lugar de ellos, porque había pasto para sus ganados.	41 So then, those whose names have been written above, went forth in the days of Hezekiah, the king of Judah. And they struck down the inhabitants who had been found there with their dwellings. And they wiped them out, even to the present day. And they lived in place of them, because they found very fat pastures there.
