1 Voici ce que dit Yahvé à Cyrus, à celui qu’il a consacré: “Je t’ai pris par la main droite, pour faire plier devant toi les nations, pour défaire la ceinture des rois, pour ouvrir devant toi les portes, et que les portails ne se referment plus.	1 Thus says the Lord to my anointed Cyrus, whose right hand I hold, so that I may subjugate the nations before his face, and I may turn the backs of kings, and I may open the doors before him, and so that the gates will not be shut.
2 Je marcherai devant toi, j’aplanirai les chemins difficiles; je briserai les portes de bronze et mettrai en pièces les verrous de fer.	2 I will go before you. And I will humble the glorious ones of the earth. I will shatter the gates of brass, and I will break apart the bars of iron.
3 Je te donnerai les trésors cachés, les richesses qu’on avait mises en sûreté, et tu sauras que je suis Yahvé, le Dieu d’Israël qui t’a appelé par ton nom.	3 And I will give you hidden treasures and the knowledge of secret things, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who calls your name.
4 À cause de Jacob mon serviteur, à cause d’Israël que j’ai choisi, je t’ai appelé par ton nom; je t’ai donné un rôle alors que tu ne me connaissais pas.	4 For the sake of Jacob, my servant, and Israel, my elect, I have even called you by your name. I have taken you up, and you have not known me.
5 Il n’y a rien sinon moi, Yahvé, il n’y a pas de Dieu en dehors de moi. Je t’ai lancé alors que tu ne me connaissais pas,	5 I am the Lord, and there is no one else. There is no god beside me. I girded you, and you have not known me.
6 pour que l’on sache depuis l’orient jusqu’au couchant, qu’il n’y a rien en dehors de moi. Il n’y a pas d’autre que moi, Yahvé,	6 So may those who are from the rising of the sun, and those who are from its setting, know that there is no one beside me. I am the Lord, and there is no other.
7 celui qui forme la lumière et qui fait les ténèbres, qui mène au succès et qui fait le malheur, tout cela je le fais, moi, Yahvé.	7 I form the light and create the darkness. I make peace and create disaster. I, the Lord, do all these things.
8 Cieux, faites tomber de là-haut la rosée, et que les nuées donnent une pluie de justice. Que s’ouvre la terre, et que fleurisse le salut, tandis que la justice germera: c’est mon œuvre à moi, Yahvé.	8 Send down dew from above, O heavens, and let the clouds rain down upon the just! Let the earth open and spring forth a savior! And let justice rise up at once! I, the Lord, have created him.
9 Malheur à qui discute avec celui qui l’a formé, quand il n’est qu’un vase entre vases de terre. L’argile dira-t-elle à celui qui la travaille: “Que fais-tu là?” Elle n’a même pas de mains!	9 Woe to him who contradicts his Maker, a mere shard from an earthen vessel! Should the clay say to the potter, “What are you making?” or, “Your work is not made by your hands?”
10 Malheur à celui qui dit à un père: “Qu’as-tu engendré!” ou à une femme: “Qu’as-tu mis au monde!”	10 Woe to him who says to his father, “Why did you conceive?” or to a woman, “Why did you give birth?”
11 Voici ce que dit Yahvé, le Saint d’Israël, celui qui l’a formé: Est-ce à vous de me questionner sur mes fils ou de me dire ce que je dois faire?	11 Thus says the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, his Maker: Would you question me about the future, concerning my sons, and command me concerning the work of my hands?
12 C’est moi qui ai fait la terre, et j’ai créé l’homme pour l’habiter; de mes mains j’ai étendu les cieux et je commande à toute leur armée.	12 I made the earth, and I created man upon it. My hand stretched out the heavens, and I have commanded all their hosts.
13 C’est moi de même qui ai lancé Cyrus et ses victoires, et qui lui aplanis tous ses chemins, car il reconstruira ma ville et fera revenir mes déportés, sans demander cadeau ni récompense, - parole de Yahvé Sabaot.	13 I have raised him up unto justice, and I will direct all his ways. He himself will build my city and release my captives, but not for ransom or gifts, says the Lord, the God of hosts.
14 Voici ce que dit Yahvé: Le salaire de l’Égypte, avec les produits de Kouch, et les hommes de Séba, tous de grands gaillards, viendront vers toi et seront à toi. Ils marcheront derrière toi et passeront chargés de chaînes, ils se prosterneront devant toi et prieront tournés vers toi: “Dieu n’est que chez toi, il n’y en a pas d’autre ailleurs.	14 Thus says the Lord: The labor of Egypt, and the business dealings of Ethiopia, and of the Sabeans, men of stature, will pass to you and will be yours. They will walk behind you. They will travel, bound in irons. And they will adore you and petition you: “In you alone is God, and there is no God apart from you.
15 Tu es Dieu qui aime se cacher, Dieu Sauveur d’Israël!”	15 Truly, you are a hidden God, the God of Israel, the Savior.”
16 Ils seront tous honteux et confus, ils s’en iront couverts de honte, les faiseurs d’idoles,	16 They have all been confounded and should be ashamed! These fabricators of errors have departed together into confusion!
17 mais Israël sera sauvé par Yahvé, pour toujours. Plus jamais dans les siècles à venir vous ne connaîtrez la honte ni l’humiliation.	17 Israel is saved in the Lord by an eternal salvation. You will not be confounded, and you will not be ashamed, even forever and ever.
18 Car ainsi parle Yahvé, qui a fait les cieux - car il est Dieu, - qui a formé et façonné la terre, - car c’est lui qui l’a mise en place: “Je n’y ai pas mis la confusion, j’ai voulu qu’on y vive, - car je suis Yahvé, et il n’y a pas d’autre;	18 For thus says the Lord, who created the heavens, God himself who formed the earth and made it, the very Molder of it. He did not create it to no purpose. He formed it so that it would be inhabited. I am the Lord, and there is no other.
19 et de même je n’ai pas parlé en secret, dans quelque endroit caché; et je n’ai pas dit à la race de Jacob: Cherchez-moi, mais tout sera confusion, - car moi, Yahvé, je dis vrai et je parle en clair.”	19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth. I have not said to the offspring of Jacob, “Seek me in vain.” I am the Lord, who speaks justice, who announces what is right.
20 Rassemblez-vous et venez, et tâchez de comprendre, vous qui survivez parmi les nations: Ceux qui vont avec leur idole de bois ne savent rien: ils prient un dieu incapable de sauver.	20 Assemble yourselves, and approach, and draw near together, you who have been saved among the Gentiles. They lack knowledge, who lift up the wood of their sculpture, and who petition a god unable to save.
21 Sinon, parlez, donnez vos preuves, et s’il le faut, consultez-vous. Qui avait fait savoir ces choses d’avance? Qui les avait déjà annoncées? Ne voyez-vous pas que je suis Yahvé et qu’il n’y a pas d’autre Dieu que moi: il n’est pas de Dieu juste et sauveur sinon moi.	21 Announce it, and approach, and consult together. Who has caused this to be heard from the beginning, and who has foretold it from that time? Is it not I, the Lord? And is there some other god beside me? I am a just God who saves, and there is no one except me.
22 Tournez-vous vers moi pour être sauvés, vous tous des quatre coins du monde: Dieu, je le suis, il n’y en a pas d’autre.	22 All ends of the earth, be converted to me, and you will be saved. For I am God, and there is no other.
23 Je le jure par moi-même, et de ma bouche sort la vérité, la parole dite ne reviendra pas en arrière: Tout genou fléchira devant moi et toute langue proclamera:	23 I have sworn by myself. The Word of justice will proceed from my mouth, and it will not turn back.
24 “Justice et force ne se trouvent qu’en Yahvé.” Alors viendront vers lui bien humiliés tous ceux qui se dressaient contre lui,	24 For every knee shall bend to me, and every tongue shall swear it.
25 mais pour toute la race d’Israël, ce sera avec Yahvé le triomphe et la gloire.	25 Therefore, he will say, “In the Lord are my justices and my dominion.” They will go to him. And all who fight against him will be confounded.
	26 In the Lord, all the offspring of Israel will be justified and praised.
