1 In fine, per quelli che si commuteranno, testimonio di Asaf, salmo (per li Assirii ).	1 A psalm of Asaph. O God, the nations have invaded your heritage; they have defiled your holy temple, have laid Jerusalem in ruins.
2 Tu che governi Israel, intendi; il quale meni come pecora Iosef.	2 They have left the corpses of your servants as food for the birds of the heavens, the flesh of your faithful for the beasts of the earth.
3 Tu che siedi sopra li cherubini, manifestati dinanzi a Efraim, Beniamin e Manasse.	3 They have spilled their blood like water all around Jerusalem, and no one is left to bury them.
4 Vesti la tua potenza, e vieni acciò che ci facci salvi.	4 We have become the reproach of our neighbors, the scorn and derision of those around us.
5 Iddio, convertine, e mostraci la tua faccia; e saremo salvi.	5 How long, LORD? Will you be angry forever? Will your rage keep burning like fire?
6 Signore Iddio delle virtù, insino quando ti adirerai sopra l'orazione del tuo servo?	6 Pour out your wrath on nations that reject you, on kingdoms that do not call on your name,
7 Tu ci pascerai col pane di lacrime, e dara'ci a bere le lacrime con mensura?	7 For they have devoured Jacob, laid waste his home.
8 Ha'ne poste in contraddizione a' vicini nostri; e li inimici nostri ci hanno biastemati.	8 Do not hold past iniquities against us; may your compassion come quickly, for we have been brought very low.
9 Iddio delle virtù, convertici, e dimostraci la tua faccia; e saremo salvi.	9 Help us, God our savior, for the glory of your name. Deliver us, pardon our sins for your name's sake.
10 Tu traducesti la vigna da Egitto; gittasti fuori le genti, e piantastila.	10 Why should the nations say, "Where is their God?" Before our eyes make clear to the nations that you avenge the blood of your servants.
11 Fosti nel suo cospetto il guidatore; e piantasti le sue radici, ed empiette la terra.	11 Let the groans of prisoners come before you; by your great power free those doomed to death.
12 L'ombra sua ha coperto li monti; e le sue ramicelle li cedri di Dio.	12 Lord, inflict on our neighbors seven fold the disgrace they inflicted on you.
13 Istese le sue rame insino al mare; e insino al fiume le sue branche.	13 Then we, your people, the sheep of your pasture, will give thanks to you forever; through all ages we will declare your praise.
14 Il per che hai distrutta la sua maceria, e tutti che vanno per la via la vendemmiano?
15 Halla guastata il porco salvatico; e il superbo porco, mangiando, l' ha consumata.
16 Iddio delle virtù, convèrtiti; risguarda dal cielo, e vedi, e visita questa vigna.
17 E conferma quella, la quale ha piantata la tua destra; e (ponila) sopra il figliuolo dell' uomo, il quale hai confermato a te.
18 S' è accesa dal fuoco, e scavata; periranno dalla reprensione del tuo volto.
19 Sia fatta la tua mano sopra l'uomo della destra tua; e sopra il figliuolo dell' uomo, che a te confermasti.
20 E noi non ci partiremo da te; vivificherai noi, e invocheremo il nome tuo.
21 Signore Iddio delle virtù, convertine, e dimostraci la tua faccia; e saremo salvi.
