1 PER qual ragione fremon le genti, e i popoli macchinano dei vani disegni?	1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 Si sono levati su i re della terra, e i principi si son collegati insieme contro il Signore, e contro il suo Cristo.	2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Rompiamo i loro lacci, e rigettiam lungi da noi il lor giogo.	3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 Colui, che ne' cieli risiede, si burlerà di costoro, e il Signore gli schernirà.	4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
5 Allora egli parlerà ad essi nella sua indignazione, e nel suo furore gli atterrirà.	5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6 Ma io da lui sono stato costituito re sopra Sionne (sopra) il monte santo di lui, affine di annunziare i suoi precetti.	6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
7 Il Signore disse a me: Tu se' mio figliuolo; io oggi ti ho generato.	7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
8 Chiedimi, e io ti darò in tuo retaggio le genti, e io tuo dominio gli ultimi confini del mondo.	8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9 Governerai coloro con scettro di ferro, e gli stritolerai come un vaso di creta.	9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
10 Adesso adunque voi, o regi, imparate: ravvedetevi voi, che siete giudici della terra.	10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11 Servite a lui nel timore, e in lui con tremore esultate.	11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Abbracciate la buona dottrina, affinchè non abbia il Signore a sdegnarsi, e voi vi perdiate, smarrita la via della giustizia.	12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
13 Allorché subitamente l'ira di lui divamperà, beati tutti coloro, che si confidano in lui.
