1 Canto delle salite. Di Davide.Quale gioia, quando mi dissero:«Andremo alla casa del Signore!».	1 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.
2 Già sono fermi i nostri piedialle tue porte, Gerusalemme!	2 Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.
3 Gerusalemme è costruitacome città unita e compatta.	3 Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:
4 È là che salgono le tribù,le tribù del Signore,secondo la legge d’Israele,per lodare il nome del Signore.	4 Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.
5 Là sono posti i troni del giudizio,i troni della casa di Davide.	5 For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
6 Chiedete pace per Gerusalemme:vivano sicuri quelli che ti amano;	6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
7 sia pace nelle tue mura,sicurezza nei tuoi palazzi.	7 Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
8 Per i miei fratelli e i miei amiciio dirò: «Su te sia pace!».	8 For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.
9 Per la casa del Signore nostro Dio,chiederò per te il bene.	9 Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.
