1 (Laude di David). Ti vo' esaltare, o re mio Dio, e benedire il tuo nome per sempre nei secoli dei secoli.	1 A Psalm of David. Blessed be the LORD, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle;
2 Ogni giorno vo' benedire e lodare il tuo nome sempre e nei secoli dei secoli.	2 my rock and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield and he in whom I take refuge, who subdues the peoples under him.
3 Grande è il Signore e oltromodo degno di lode, e la sua grandezza non ha limiti.	3 O LORD, what is man that thou dost regard him, or the son of man that thou dost think of him?
4 Tutte le generazioni celebreranno le tue opere e annunzieranno la tua potenza.	4 Man is like a breath, his days are like a passing shadow.
5 Diranno la magnificenza della gloria della tua santità, e racconteranno le tue maraviglie.	5 Bow thy heavens, O LORD, and come down! Touch the mountains that they smoke!
6 Parleranno della potenza delle opere tue terribili, e celebreranno la tua grandezza.	6 Flash forth the lightning and scatter them, send out thy arrows and rout them!
7 Si effonderanno nel ricordo della tua grande soavità, ed esulteranno per la tua giustizia.	7 Stretch forth thy hand from on high, rescue me and deliver me from the many waters, from the hand of aliens,
8 Il Signore è clemente e misericordioso, è paziente e di molta misericordia.	8 whose mouths speak lies, and whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
9 Il Signore è dolce per tutti, e la sua pietà si estende a tutte le sue opere.	9 I will sing a new song to thee, O God; upon a ten-stringed harp I will play to thee,
10 Ti celebrino, o Signore, tutte le tue opere, e ti benedicano i tuoi santi.	10 who givest victory to kings, who rescuest David thy servant.
11 Diranno la gloria del tuo regno, parleranno della tua potenza,	11 Rescue me from the cruel sword, and deliver me from the hand of aliens, whose mouths speak lies, and whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
12 per far conoscere la tua potenza ai figli degli uomini, e lo splendore della magnificenza del tuo regno.	12 May our sons in their youth be like plants full grown, our daughters like corner pillars cut for the structure of a palace;
13 Il tuo regno è regno di tutti i secoli, il tuo impero si estende a tutte lo generazioni. Il Signore è fedele in tutte le sue parole, e santo in tutte le sue opere.	13 may our garners be full, providing all manner of store; may our sheep bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our fields;
14 Il Signore sostiene chi sta per cadere e rialza gli abbattuti.	14 may our cattle be heavy with young, suffering no mischance or failure in bearing; may there be no cry of distress in our streets!
15 Gli occhi di tutti sperano in te, o Signore, e tu, a suo tempo, dèi (a tutti) il loro cibo.	15 Happy the people to whom such blessings fall! Happy the people whose God is the LORD!
16 Apri la tua mano e riempi ogni vivente di benedizione.
17 Il Signore è giusto in tutta la sua condotta, e santo in tutte le sue opere.
18 Il Signore è vicino a tutti quelli che l'invocano, a tutti quelli che l'invocano con sincerità.
19 Egli fa la volontà di quelli che lo temono, ne ascolta le preghiere e li salva.
20 Il Signore protegge tutti quelli che lo amano, e stermina tutti i peccatori.
21 La mia bocca celebrerà le lodi del Signore: benedica ogni mortale il suo santo nome per sempre, nei secoli dei secoli.
