Osea 6

LA SACRA BIBBIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Venite, ritorniamo al Signore! Egli ha sbranato, egli guarirà; egli ha colpito, egli ci fascerà.	1 Come, let us return to Yahweh. He has rent us and he wil heal us; he has struck us and he will bind upour wounds;
2 Dopo due giorni ci ridarà la vita, e il terzo giorno ci farà risorgere e vivremo alla sua presenza.	2 after two days he wil revive us, on the third day he wil raise us up and we shal live in his presence.
3 bEgli verrà a noi come la pioggia, come pioggia a primavera che irriga la terra.	3 Let us know, let us strive to know Yahweh; that he will come is as certain as the dawn. He wil come tous like a shower, like the rain of springtime to the earth.
4 Che posso fare per te, Efraim? Che posso fare per te, Giuda? Il vostro amore è come una nube al mattino, come la rugiada che si scioglie in fretta.	4 What am I to do with you, Ephraim? What am I to do with you, Judah? For your love is like morningmist, like the dew that quickly disappears.
5 aPer questo li ho colpiti per mezzo dei profeti, li ho uccisi con le parole della mia bocca;	5 This is why I have hacked them to pieces by means of the prophets, why I have kil ed them with wordsfrom my mouth, why my sentence wil blaze forth like the dawn-
6 perché io voglio l'amore, non i sacrifici, la conoscenza di Dio, non gli olocausti.	6 for faithful love is what pleases me, not sacrifice; knowledge of God, not burnt offerings.
7 Già in Adamo hanno violato l'alleanza, là mi hanno già tradito!	7 But they have broken the covenant at Adam, there they have betrayed me.
8 Gàlaad è una città di malfattori, macchiata di sangue.	8 Gilead is a city of evil-doers, ful of bloody footprints.
9 Come banditi in agguato una banda di sacerdoti assale sulla strada di Sichem; sì, han commesso un'infamia!	9 Like so many robbers in ambush, a gang of priests commits murder on the road to Shechem- whatinfamous behaviour!
10 In Betel ho visto una cosa orrenda: lì si prostituisce Efraim, si macchia Israele!	10 At Bethel I have seen a horrible thing; there Ephraim plays the whore, Israel is befouled.
11 Anche per te, Giuda, è destinata una messe, quando io ristabilirò il mio popolo!	11 For you too, Judah, a harvest is in store, when I restore my people's fortunes.
