1 Corinthians 3

1 And so, brothers, I was not able to speak to you as if to those who are spiritual, but rather as if to those who are carnal. For you are like infants in Christ.	1 Por mi parte, no pude hablarles como a hombres espirituales, sino como a hombres carnales, como a quienes todavía son niños en Cristo.
2 I gave you milk to drink, not solid food. For you were not yet able. And indeed, even now, you are not able; for you are still carnal.	2 Los alimenté con leche y no con alimento sólido, porque aún no podían tolerarlo, como tampoco ahora,
3 And since there is still envy and contention among you, are you not carnal, and are you not walking according to man?	3 ya que siguen siendo carnales. Los celos y discordias que hay entre ustedes, ¿no prueban acaso, que todavía son carnales y se comportan de una manera puramente humana?
4 For if one says, “Certainly, I am of Paul,” while another says, “I am of Apollo,” are you not men? But what is Apollo, and what is Paul?	4 Cuando uno dice: «Yo soy de Pablo», y el otro: «Yo de Apolo», ¿acaso no están procediendo como lo haría cualquier hombre?
5 We are only the ministers of him in whom you have believed, just as the Lord has granted to each of you.	5 Después de todo, ¿quién es Apolo, quién es Pablo? Simples servidores, por medio de los cuales ustedes han creído, y cada uno de ellos lo es según lo que ha recibido del Señor.
6 I planted, Apollo watered, but God provided the growth.	6 Yo planté y Apolo regó, pero el que ha hecho crecer es Dios.
7 And so, neither he who plants, nor he who waters, is anything, but only God, who provides the growth.	7 Ni el que planta ni el que riega valen algo, sino Dios, que hace crecer.
8 Now he who plants, and he who waters, are one. But each shall receive his proper reward, according to his labors.	8 No hay ninguna diferencia entre el que planta y el que riega; sin embargo, cada uno recibirá su salario de acuerdo con el trabajo que haya realizado.
9 For we are God’s assistants. You are God’s cultivation; you are God’s construction.	9 Porque nosotros somos cooperadores de Dios, y ustedes son el campo de Dios, el edificio de Dios.
10 According to the grace of God, which has been given to me, I have laid the foundation like a wise architect. But another builds upon it. So then, let each one be careful how he builds upon it.	10 Según la gracia que Dios me ha dado, yo puse los cimientos como lo hace un buen arquitecto, y otro edifica encima. Que cada cual se fije bien de qué manera construye.
11 For no one is able to lay any other foundation, in place of that which has been laid, which is Christ Jesus.	11 El fundamento ya está puesto y nadie puede poner otro, porque el fundamento es Jesucristo.
12 But if anyone builds upon this foundation, whether gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or stubble,	12 Sobre él se puede edificar con oro, plata, piedras preciosas, madera, pasto o paja:
13 each one’s work shall be made manifest. For the day of the Lord shall declare it, because it will be revealed by fire. And this fire will test each one’s work, as to what kind it is.	13 la obra de cada uno aparecerá tal como es, porque el día del Juicio, que se revelará por medio del fuego, la pondrá de manifiesto; y el fuego probará la calidad de la obra de cada uno.
14 If anyone’s work, which he has built upon it, remains, then he will receive a reward.	14 Si la obra construida sobre el fundamento resiste la prueba, el que la hizo recibirá la recompensa;
15 If anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer its loss, but he himself will still be saved, but only as through fire.	15 si la obra es consumida, se perderá. Sin embargo, su autor se salvará, como quien se libra del fuego.
16 Do you not know that you are the Temple of God, and that the Spirit of God lives within you?	16 ¿No saben que ustedes son templo de Dios y que el Espíritu de Dios habita en ustedes?
17 But if anyone violates the Temple of God, God will destroy him. For the Temple of God is holy, and you are that Temple.	17 Si alguno destruye el templo de Dios, Dios lo destruirá a él. Porque el templo de Dios es sagrado, y ustedes son ese templo.
18 Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become foolish, so that he may be truly wise.	18 ¡Que nadie se engañe! Si alguno de ustedes se tiene por sabio en este mundo, que se haga insensato para ser realmente sabio.
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. And so it has been written: “I will catch the wise in their own astuteness.”	19 Porque la sabiduría de este mundo es locura delante de Dios. En efecto, dice la Escritura: "El sorprende a los sabios en su propia astucia",
20 And again: “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.”	20 y además: "El Señor conoce los razonamientos de los sabios y sabe que son vanos".
21 And so, let no one glory in men.	21 En consecuencia, que nadie se gloríe en los hombres, porque todo les pertenece a ustedes:
22 For all is yours: whether Paul, or Apollo, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or the present, or the future. Yes, all is yours.	22 Pablo, Apolo o Cefas, el mundo, la vida, la muerte, el presente o el futuro. Todo es de ustedes,
23 But you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.	23 pero ustedes son de Cristo y Cristo es de Dios.
